When you trade with the Patriots you may as well take off your clothes, hand em over and walk home naked. They always win. So heres the point, when he gives 100% Haynesworth is the most dominate player of this decade.
Haynesworth will be star, New England will be good, and Washington will look stupid. Right or wrong, thats what happens when you trade with the Patriots.

Not sure What makes him the most dominate player of the decade. Is it his 30 sacks in 9 years for his career or the fact that after he got a huge contract he got lazy?
Yes he had 2 really good years with the Titans. Good not great.
Bottom line is he got lazy after his contract. He couldn't even pass his physical in the off-season to play last year. He eventualy did and only played in 8 games.
Do I think he'll be motivated to try harder while playing for the Patriots? Yes will he be the best d-lineman in the game? No. So with that said there is no way he'll get defensive player of the year.
If he buys into the Patriots system he'll buy into a team 1st atmosphere. That means he's gonna have to be more humble about his playing time and his assignments during his time with the Patriots. Can he? sure. Is it likely? No.
He will make an impact but not a huge one.

Tackles arent known for sacks, the fact that a person can be a dominant run stuffer and get penetration in the passing game itself is amazing, only He and Sapp in recent memory fit that category. In a Contract year Haynesworth is the most Dominate defensive player in the league. Thats how he inked a 100 Million $ contract with 41Million guaranteed my friend.
The track record speaks for itself. When you trade with the Patriots they make an idiot out of you.
To Loki: They already look stupid. They guaranteed 41M for nothing and now the Patriots will sign him to a $5 million dollar deal and trade him next year for 2 draft picks.
tdbubba15 said 07/28, 02:02 PM
No not nessesarly but that is what made Haynesworth one of the best for his 2 really good years with the Titans.
Yes and like you said "in a contract year haynesworth was the most dominant player in the league."
Sure doesn't sound like a decade of dominance to me.
I'm very aware the Redskins overpaid for him. And now look at him he's got a back up salary.
He's been know to be lazy get flagged for stupid penalties and casue lockeroom problems.
I just don't see how his last 2 years can make you assume he'll be defensive player of the year for the 2011 season. No matter what team he's on. I believe he will improve but come on Defensive player of the year?

Frank, even if he becomes the best lineman of all time in NE, you got one error in your argument....Washington won't look stupid for getting rid of him....he was useless to the Skins, he was a cancer and a distraction. The Skins shipped him off to a team they won't play unless they make it to the SB....they would have cut him anyway but got a pick and control of where he went with this trade....now, he is out of the NFC, especially the NFC east so there is no worry about any sort of "payback" during a game...Skins aren't likely to get to the SB so the chances they will face Fat Al are nominal....

While I do believe his production will improve on the Pats, DPOY is a bit of a stretch.

This is just one more nail on the coffin. Pats should have gone after Rice instead as they need to score against teams like Baltimore in the playoffs.

he wont even be the best DL on the team....are you forgetting about Wilfork?
and I agree HQQD, they should have signed Rice....broke my heart when they didnt. You cant win with Branch and Welker as your 1-2

While I may be a bit biased I think Suh will have a better year then Fat Al. Suh has a great work ethic and gives his all on everyplay.....as shown by the above video...Fat Al does not.

Haynesworth didn't want to play in Haslett's 3-4, what makes them think he's going to want to play in Bilichick's?
