WELL, this is going to be pretty tough. I am going to say the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (man, that's a mouthful).
I guess I'll formulate my argument like yours, listing a bunch of players.
Pitchers
John Lackey (18-9)
Kelvim Escobar (17-7)
Jered Weaver (13-7)
Joe Saunders (8-5)
Francisco Rodriguez (38 saves)
Position Players
Casey Kotchman (.298)
Howie Kendrick (.324)
Chone Figgins (.336)
Orlando Cabrera (.303)
Vladimir Guerrero (.322)
Reggie Willits (.296)
Oh baby that was an agonizing argument. So why will the Red Sox win the World Series (besides the aforementioned players)?
murph5 said 09/28, 08:54 PM
Jacoby Elsbury .352
David Ortiz .330
Mike Lowell .324- mvp
Dustin Pedroia .318- rookie of the year
kevin youkilis .286
becket 20-7- cy young
wakefield 16-12
bucholtx- no hitter
dice k 14-12
paplebon 36 saves
were 2 games up on you and we have the yankees behinds us
who do you have
o yea the mariners

What? Bucholz isn't even on the posteseason roster for the Red Sox. And you're two games up on the Yanks after having a HUGE lead, while the Mariners basically caught the Angels, but the Angels have now pulled out to a 7 game lead. The Sox don't even have the division clinched yet.
The bullpen for the Red Sox has been horrible down the stretch. Gagne has been horrible and even Okajima has been off since the All-Star break. The bullpen will prove to be the Sox's Achilles heel in the end.
The Angels, however, have gotten hot at just the right time to pull away from the Mariners. K-Rod has been great and Justin Speier has been more than solid.
Fact is, the Angels have more of a chance than the Red Sox.
murph5 said 09/28, 09:03 PM
your right our bullpen has been shaky but i'd also like to see you guys play the yankees
also the mariners are a terrible team
bucholtz should be on the roster because he is a decent pitcher
DJTG_2010 said 09/28, 09:08 PM
The Angels are 6-3 against the Yankees this year...
I honestly do not know what else to argue in this. The Angels just have a better chance the Sox. The Sox bullpen will be the downfall.
You heard it here first.

Report Offensive CommentIt's not going to be either of those teams, but the BoSox have given up a HUGE lead. No way they are winning anything more than the AL East this year (and that's still in question). It will be either the Yankees or the Injuns in the AL. Both teams are far superior to the punchless Angels.

Hopefully they don't roll the ball back to the pitchers mound on a bounced strike three, this time ;-)
