If I'm building a franchise around 3 key players then they have to either be young or versatile or both.
1) I need a young, proven QB, so I'm choosing Ben Rothlisberger. He is putting up great numbers this year: G 3 YDS 563 TD 6 INT 1 YG187.7 More importantly, he has postseason and Super Bowl experience.
2) I also need a versatile player to work with this young QB. So I'll take RB Brian Westbrook. BWest is a total package RB who breaks big runs, lines up in the slot, and is also a good PR/KR. He has been a consistent performer injured or not. Last year he proved he could carry a team with 1916 Yds. from scrimmage and 11 TD's.
3) Finally I need someone to lead my defense who is young but great. I'd take LB DeMeco Ryans. He is a tackling machine with 29 T's already and 1 pass defensed. Last year he had: Tackles-155 Sacks: 3.5 PassesDefensed-5 Interceptions- 1. He would be my leader on defense.

Report Offensive CommentI was doing some light reading on Westbrook and realized he was in the Pro Bowl in 2004. Curse his success and my failure to remember it. LOL Good luck with round 2.
