Tito is a BIG DRAW..WE should all know this by now..

Tito would have a 2 fight win streak..

Over the same guy Bones Jones beat to get a title shot, and in quicker fashion.. Also, IF Tito beat Rashad, he just beat the #1 contender..

Tito's cinderella story would sell on the way to a lightheavyweight title showdown..

Dana would love it!

0-4-1 vs some very good talent in Chuck Liddell, Rashad Evans (draw), Lyoto Machida, Forrest Griffin and Matt Hamill but he went almost 4 years between wins.

very true, but his last fight with Forrest was a split decision loss, and Tito had a machida in a choke come the 3rd round bell...


I don't know.. I think we have to give him some credit for the Bader fight.. Sure Bader might not be elite, elite level yet, but he still was 14-1 coming into the fight with Tito.. Tito hit a miracle punch.. then comes mr. guillotine.. Tito went wild after the fight, not because of his 5 year streak per say, but just his chance to keep fighting in the company! Tito was supposed to lose that fight, and Dana set him up in my opinion.. Tito pulled the sh8t out.. Now he's fighting the #1 contender.. BEats Rashad, why does he have to fight another person..Give the old man some credit.. Tito's 36 with a NAME tHe size of the united states, in the business, Tito has knocked off a huge prospect in Bader, and now gunning down the #1 .. Wins both, it's a GREAT story.. Tito sells REGARDLESS.. I don't know if you know but he got 350k more than Cali Kid @ ufc 132! The cinderella storyline genuis!

here's the FACTS

Tito Ortiz had a humiliating defeat to his pupil Matt Hamill, last October..

Dana was about to let Tito go THEN.. Dana said, "Tito, you want a shot, I'll give you a shot".. Dana pitted Tito against a guy that had wins against Keith Jardine and Lil Nog on his resume'.. Bader is no spring chicken, like i said, he was 14-1 going into the fight with Tito.. Bader's only loss was to the current lightheavyweight champ..

Dana and most of the mma world thought Tito had no CHANCE @ UFC 132..

Tito proved the critics wrong, Tito beat Bader in 2 minutes flat..

Now, to the current situation.. Tito's coming into this fight with 3 weeks of training.. 3 WEEKS of training against the #1 contender.. I know there's contenders out there. like you stated Shogun and Hendo..

Cool, I agree with that..

But, here's the dealio.. Tito's doing Dana a favor, after Dana did one for him.. Dana let him have another shot at his career, Tito succeeded.. Now, "IF" like I've clearly stated, Tito beats Rashad, he's taken out TWO HUGE names in the sport, in little over a month.

Rashad's fighting for a title shot against Tito, Tito should have that same priveledge!
