The Biggest FanNation Tourney Ever-"Is It Time To Stick A Fork In The AFC East???" This is for DJ* was Tamed. BS.

I dont know how you can disagree with this. Of course it is finished. This Patriots team is just too good. They have averaged 38 points per game, and their defense is as good as ever.
The main reason, however, this is over is because of the competition. No team in the AFC East is any good besides New England.
The Jets are 1-2, AND THEY ARE IN SECOND PLACE! They snuck by the Dolphins, who aren???t good at all. They got shellacked by the Patriots in the Meadowlands. If they cant beat them at home, they have no chance in Foxboro. The Jets have only scored 55 points all year. The Patriots outscored them in about six quarters.
The Bills are injury plagued. I don???t think anyone on that team is healthy. They are already 0-3. The Patriots have already creamed them. I think that even if the Bills win out, they wont touch the Patriots. They have a pretty tough schedule. They still have to go into Foxboro again.
The Dolphins, as expected, are terrible. They haven???t won a game.
The Patriots have this locked up. If it was like the good ol' days when the Colts were in the AFC East, it would be different. But now, it's definitely locked up.

I could tell you somewhere else to stick that fork....Just kidding.
Anyway, I'll throw you a Cole Hamels-like changeup: Sure the AFC East is done right now, but over the next five years there will be a new order.
Let's look at the Patriots' roster:
Tom Brady is 30 years old.
Moss is 30.
Stallworth is an injury risk.
Maroney is young, but an injury risk.
The starting linebackers (Vrabel, Thomas, Bruschi, Colvin) are 32, 30, 34, and 30.
Fact is, the Patriots are getting older, while the Jets are getting younger. Thomas Jones may be the missing piece. In 2006, the Jets offensive line blocked for over 1,700 yards rushing, while their leading rusher had 650 yards. Jerricho Cotchery and Laveranues Coles form a potent combo. Some might say that the Jets will not win with Pennington at quarterback, but Kellen Clemens showed against Baltimore that he can step up against a tough defense.
The Jets defense is also young and improving. Their four starting linebackers (Thomas, Vilma, Barton, Hobson) are 28, 25, 30, and 27. The addition of Darrelle Revis boosts the special teams and secondary. So yeah, the Jets are going to be coming in the next five years.................
