alright..

excluding the Road Warriors.. a.k.a wwf's LeGION OF DOOM..

i'm going a lil oldskool, not too hard..

I got Demolitiion..

This tag team was the sh8t.. They beat the sh8t outta their opponents.. fake or not..lol

WE'RE DEMOLITION, WE'RE ON A MISSION"

seriously

hahha.manged by the Great Fuji and held the straps 3 different times.. AX and Smash brought a certain edge and beat down that fit their roles to a "T".. Not forgetting Crush, the 3rd member of Demolition, they were rolling then

*Demolition ONLY won it 3 times, right? "What about the Hardy Boys?"

I see your argument already..

Demolition won the belts 3x's in the WWF's hayday, unlike the Hardy's, when they won the belts, the belts, were changing hands like clockwork.. No disregard to the Hardy's, but we all saw the Rocker's struggle to beat top tier teams in the late/early 90's..

Demolition fought Powers of Pain, Akeem and Big BossMan w/ manger slick, the Hart Foundation, the Rockers, and even the Legion of Doom late in their run..

Classic tag teams

Demolition might not have been the most athletic group assembled, but they KNEW how to play the crowd!

You do have my all-time favorite WWF/E champions in there (and I will be going with PURE teams in this TD- no Benoit/Angle (me) Hogan/Warrior (you) here.

So I'll slap out my Next favorite team- and one that can wrestle circles around any team in history

The British Bulldogs

Had situations in Japan not happened, and both men not had some serious injuries, then the Bulldogs would have obliterated every record in history, and no doubt Dynamite Kid would wrestle circles around almost any wrestler past, present or future.
That's not to belittle Davey Boy, who also was better than almost any wrestler in the US at that time.

Add them together, and insert CAPTAIN LOU who lead over 20 tag teams to the gold (we WILL NOT discuss the pooch) and you have one of the greatest teams in WWF/E HISTORY.

1x WWF champions?

They are most likely the most overrated if anything...

Demolition won the belts from Strikeforce, Rick Martel & Tito Santana, the Brain busters Tully Blanchard and Double A, and last but not least, the the collasal Connection.. Andre the Giant and Haku w/ manager Bobby the "Brain"..

Demolition was like kiss on steriods..

literally..

my next pick....

Dudley Brothers

the King of table matches..

23 tag titles in whole.. not all wwf/e.. they're 8x's tag champions in E/F

PWI Match of the Year (2000) vs. Edge and Christian and the Hardy Boyz in a Triangle Ladder match at WrestleMania 2000
PWI Match of the Year (2001) vs. Edge and Christian and The Hardy Boyz in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match at WrestleMania X-Seven

Forfeited Turn

IF YOU DIDN'T KNOW, YO ASS BETTAH CALL SOMEBODY~Roaddog

The dudley Boyz are more an ECW creation and their height was in that organization, not in WWF/E same reason why I would not put Tully/Arn in this as they are the GREATEST TEAM EVER but they are more a Jim Crockett team than a Vinny team.

The NAO are a JOKE as a pick and an INSULT to real tag teams- LIMITED as a team, VERY limited in the ring and ONLY got as far as they did because of politics.

My final TWO picks.

The Hart Foundation.

Featuring one of the best wrestlers to ever come out of Canada (and that is like saying one of the worst convicts to come out of Georgia) and a SOLID powerhouse to pair him with, add in the mouth of Memphis, and you have one of the GREATEST TEAMS in history.

My Final Pick

Edge and Christian- Not only were they JUST as good on the mic as the NAO- but BLEW THEM AWAY in the Ring.

Ask yourself this

There is a rack of Wrestling DVDs.

Demolition
the WWE Dudleys
The New Age Outlaws

or

Hart Foundation
British Bulldogs
E&C

Ring Work only.

-- Your NAO and Dudley DVDs will have a foot of Dust on them after you watch them- if you ever do.

My Final Team?

how bout the steiner brothers.....?

August 5, 2011  01:16 PM ET

Dudleys are obvious, but after that, E&C and the Hart foundation.

August 5, 2011  01:19 PM ET

Unfortunately, your throwdown is like asking which of your cousins is the better kisser...

Vince McMahan has always seen tag-team wrestling as an afterthought - he is, afterall, paying four men for one match instead of only two. And even when one or both members of a tag team get over, he ends up splitting them up. Case in point, Edge and Christian - 7 time tag team title holders. Nowadays, most tag teams are made up of two singles wrestlers thrown together for a period of time.

That said, I can't believe that the first team you go to is Demolition. All they were was a cheap Road Warriors knock-off. The only reason they won two of their titles was because somebody was leaving the company (Rick Martell, and both Brain Busters). At least the Dudleys were original - not homegrown, but original.

I think I would vote none of the above. Demolition was nothing more than a rip off of the Road Warriors (and yes that is their real tag team name not Legion of Doom which was a nickname given to them long before they were in the WWF).

The Bulldogs? They weren't even the best team of their era or have you completely forgotten The Hart Foundation?

Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard (Brainbusters in WWF because as we know you have to have stupid friggin' name and/or gimmick to wrestle there) were easily much better than either team mentioned. And if anyone thinks Dynamite Kid would wrestle circles around either of those two should probably go find some old NWA Mid-Atlantic/Early WCW footage. Both were phenomenal wrestlers and show men who easily could've been at the top of a promotion's singles list if not for being in the same organization as Ric Flair.
