it's only 3 rounds..
Tito could steal a round, and possibly 2..
Rashad's grown a lot since their last fight, but Tito's energy and confidence coming off his first win in 6 years should do the trick..
Rashad hasn't fought in 15 months!!!!! Something to think about!
last I checked, Tito's chin is pretty stable, minus the Iceman encounters..
Tito will be strong in the grapple, Rashad says Tito felt like "3 Gorilla's" on top of him last time. Tito in all fairness, has been dealing with nagging injuries for years'... I think Tito's 100% and finally riding on some gas/ a win!
I'm rooting for the Cinderella story here, it makes for a great story line..
Either way, Dana has confirmed, whomever wins this fight in Philly, DOES get the next title shot..
better yet..
the winner of Rampage/Bones Jones..
Tito has a lot of haters, and a lot of critics, but his eyes are awakened, and he's more game than he's ever been..
Tito has nothing to lose, the pressure's on Rashad, and Tito did knock Bader silly.. Lets not refrain from the truth here..
Calling underdog CITY.. lets get it..
bring the noise.. ~pCH

"Tito could steal a round, and possibly 2"
Only way he wins this fight is by doing his best blanket imitation. Not only is his striking far inferior to Rashad but he will not even be the best wrestler in the fight. And when Tito cannot take his opponent down he loses.
"but Tito's energy"
HA
This is the same Tito that has gassed in every fight he has been in, that went passed the first round, for the last 5 years or so right? His energy is what has hurt him. And i dont see that being any different tonight.
His confidence?
HA
Tito has ALWAYS been confident. That has never been a issue with him. His issue is he is a horrible boxer and as he has gotten older he wrestling is no longer carrying him.
"last I checked, Tito's chin is pretty stable, minus the Iceman encounters"
It has to be since he cant box to save his life.
In all seriousness Rashad is just a better fighter. He will win the fight by doing whatever he wants whenever he wants. The only way Tito makes this a fight is if a lucky punch is involved. And i do not see that happening.
Rashad by TKO in the 3rd.

INCORRECT!
It has to be since he cant box to save his life.
Bader hit the floor, right?
Tito has ALWAYS been confident. That has never been a issue with him. His issue is he is a horrible boxer and as he has gotten older he wrestling is no longer carrying him.
Tito hasn't been THIS confident, he just beat a top 5 lightheavy in the world, and did it in 2 minutes via guillotine!
And when Tito cannot take his opponent down he loses.
Maybe you didn't see the first fight. Tito should've won, but he held on the cage, and got deducted a point...
bottom line..
tito's healthy, and yes, Rashad's the sh8t, but Tito knows it's now or never, he's a legend for a reason..
Spak said 08/06, 06:57 PM
Ryan Bader is not much of a boxer either. Lets not act like Tito is all of a sudden an elite stand up guy because he knocked a wrestler down. Impressive? Yes. But lets keep it in perspective.
"Tito hasn't been THIS confident, he just beat a top 5 lightheavy in the world, and did it in 2 minutes via guillotine!"
I have never seen him be anything but so confident it borders on arrogant. Hell its the main reason he is still able to be relevant even though he just went the better part of a decade without a win.
Top 5 LHW? Bader? Really? He is a one dimensional fighter coming off of a beating of mythical proportions at the hands of Bones Jones. Again...Lets keep things in perspective.
"Maybe you didn't see the first fight. Tito should've won, but he held on the cage, and got deducted a point"
O i saw it. But Rashad is a better fighter now and Tito is as good of a fighter now. So that really should not have any bearing on what will happen tonight.
Tito has ZERO advantage in this fight. He is not as good standing, not as good of a wrestler, he lacks the cardio Evans has. This should be an easy win for Evans

Punchers chance for sure, Rashad is vastly superior but he almost got caught by Rampage toward the end. Tito I'd guess is fighting for his career again. Tempted to take it but I'll let a more MMA savvy person give a go.

You could say the same about Rua then....he took a beating of mythical proportions from Bones....at this point measuring someone by their performance against bones is like saying...the Braves lost a clean sweep to the Yankees so they'll never be a viable team again. It just ain't true

I agree here, getting beat by Bones Jones right now means nothing other than you are, in fact, not a Grizzly Bear. Jones is at an inhuman level right now. Tito was backed into a corner as far as his career goes. But Rashad is worlds better than Bader. It's gonna be a good fight.

Jones is going to eclipse Silva and GSP if he keeps it up....He might end up as a dominant HW because nothing at LHW seems like it can touch him...no one I mean. I want to see him fight Machida and after that fight LHW looks locked down.

Tito needs to find an announcing gig or just stick to fighting mid teir fighters. He has no business fighting anybody near the top 10.
