Who is the best player on any NBA Live game who has never been named an All Star in real life?
My Pick: Andre IggyDolla NBA Live 05
This is an easy choice. The only way to be good at NBA Live was to abuse things you can only do in video games. Iggy could dunk from the free throw line, hit jumpers, steal the ball every time, and block shots like it was nothing. He was a mix between Michael Jordan, Shawn Kemp, Matt Boneher and Jesus himself.
There is simply no one better.

This would be a better TD if it were a discussion of players who didn't make the AS team as they are in real life.
However: Marcus Camby Live 08'
Also an easy choice.
Camby that previous season posted :
3.6 blocks a game, 13.1 rebounds, 9.1 pts, 1.1 steals, 3.3 assists
That's real life.
1st in the NBA in blocks, 2nd in rebounds per game. Over 3 assists a game for a center was a nice bonus.
That translated into a high gamer rating for a center and made it very easy to win. I played him at PF with great results.
He was a quadruple double waiting to happen every time.
He was a mix between Wilt Chamberlain, John Stockton, Marcus Camby and God himself.
Method to success:
On offense: Wait for Camby to get into the paint and post up. Have your PG dish the rock. Boom 2 handed slam. easy 2 points. Play defense, repeat.
On defense: Use Camby to steal the ball from the PG. Very easy to do. Go in for fast break slam. OR... use your PG to pressure their guard into an entry pass. Switch to Camby. Wait for a shot and block it. Long out let pass to a streaking guard for an easy 2 and an assist for Camby.

Camby was good IRL but this is the virtual hardwood. Get that IRL shht outta here!!
Who honestly likes to post up in video games? I just want to dunk the ball and hit J's all day.
NBA Live 05 was was one of the easiest games to cheese your opponent. If your guy had the lock symbol on him you steal the ball every time, no matter what. Iggy had that. If you had the hand symbol your guy would teleport on defense and reject everything. Iggy had that too. He was a defensive monster, there was no way you could prevent him from stealing the ball.
He also had the track shoe icon on offense which meant that he could dunk from anywhere. Dunking was so effective in Live 05 because the animations were terrible. You literally went through guys to the rim, you couldn't do that in 08.
The best part is that in Dynasty Mode all I had to trade was Gordan Girecek and Kirk Snyder to get him on the Jazz. He would "progress" to be a 99 in a few years.
Also, he was the best for dunk contest mode, you can't even use Camby in dunk contest mode.
Have fun waiting for Camby to get up the court, I'd rather run down and windmill from the FT line.

This really boils down to what you want out of a video game.
In one corner (yours), you have a player/game where you can come down and do unrealistic things all game long to exploit glitches or programming. It sounds like you're playing a 3pt Contest and Dunk Contest at an All Star game, instead of actually playing basketball. That's not a bad thing, it's just not why I buy an NBA game.
You sound like you'd enjoy NBA Jam. It's a fun game, but that's why I'd purchase that game and not NBA Live.
I prefer to set up a team, play a dynasty and have real competition. I like to go 60-22 or so in my season and I like to have a hard difficulty setting so that I have close games often. I like a challenge. I like to take two players on my team (a PG and a forward/center) and try to make them the best in the league in terms of stats. I have that right now.
Nash is my PG and is averaging around 20 and 15.
Camby is my PF and he is averaging 20 pts, 12 boards, 8 assists, 2 steals and 3 blocks. Those are not inflated by my always being Camby and trying to pad his numbers. Those are the stats he gets while I play normally. I'll try to bring up a boxscore and post a pic next.

I think you're missing the point here, It's about the best player in the game. VIDEO GAME!!! You cannot argue that Camby was better in the game. There is nothing Camby could do that Iggy couldn't.
He was just too good. I remember posting up 100+ point quintuple doubles with him. Me and my brother made Lew Alcindor-esque rule if we played as the Sixers. He was an absolute legend in Live 05. In fact I'm going to refer to him as the Legend of Iggy for now on.
Camby is just an average center in NBA Live, if you really think centers are the best in video games you should've said someone like Al Jefferson. Camby was just a very poor choice. He's slow, not strong, can't shoot the 3ball, and he doesn't have any cool dunk animations.
Camby is just the no where near the Legend of Iggy.
DC me if you want to go IRL on this topic.

I don't think Iggy could defend PF and Centers down low. He couldn't hold his own against 7 footers and pull down 15 boards, while blocking shots like mad. He might be able to get his hands on some shots launched by a PG out on the perimeter, but that's not the same.
I don't think either of these guys are "legends" so I think you need to relax a bit.
Here are 2 pics of my post game Box Scores recently (assuming I followed the right advice)
Triple doubles without even trying man. These are regular games on hard difficulty. Imagine what he could do if you tried to exploit his talents like you are suggesting a guy do with Iggy?
These games were both wins in Dynasty mode and were around 100-90 (give or take) for total score.
