Baltimore starting D in 2011-2012 im guessing is this

DT-Haloti Ngata
DT-Terrence Cody
LE-Cory Redding
RE-Terrel Suggs
LOLB-Sergio Kindle
MLB-Ray Lewis
ROLB-Jarret Johnson
CB-Jimmy Fox
CB-Dominique Foxworth
SS-Ed Reed
FS-Dawane Landry

The Steelers D is not better !!

Wrong. here's a team that has a better D on paper....

Divisional foe, best rivalry in the NFL.... the Pittsburgh Steelers.

LE - Aaron Smith
DT - Casey Hampton
RE - Brett Keisel
LOLB - LaMarr Woodley
MLB - James Farrior
MLB - Lawrence Timmons
ROLB - James Harrison
CB - Ike Taylor
CB - Bryant McFadden
SS - Troy Polamalu
FS - Ryan Clark

Accolades: Everyone has a ring, most have 2. Pro Bowls: 20. 1st Team All Pro: 6.

Forfeited Turn

A few things to note...

Dawan Landry wont have much impact on the Ravens D this year, being that he signed with Jacksonville this offseason.

Baltimore is looking at a 6 returning starters from last year, Pitt has all 11 back.

The Ravens base a 3-4 defense, like the Steelers, and not the 4-3 you lined up.

I'm assuming the Ravens are your team and might have been a homer pick for best defense.

Based on your depth chart,

6 returning starters. That doesnt seem to make a strong case for "on paper". I'd rather have the 11 guys who've played together for years and have experience, as well as talent.

With 3 new starters in the Ravens secondary, they look worse than the veteran DBs of the Steelers. Which is pretty sour spot to be in behind a team that got SHREDDED by the Packers in Feb.

Fact is, the steelers have a better rush defense, better pass rush, more game changers, and a better pass defense.

Forfeited Turn

i think that's pretty much a wrap.

Looking foward to seeing the Steelers win another divisional title and putting it down on your Ravens this year.

I'm arguing for the Cardinals.

To quote the Giants VP of Communications, Pat Hanlon:

"We don't play on paper. You know what you can do with that paper?"

Too bad they have to play games on grass instead.

August 12, 2011  04:45 PM ET

They looked pretty pathetic last night.

Pat Hanlon is lucky to still have a job. He made a complete **** out of himself on Twitter.

Over/under games, including preseason, he lasts.

I'll set the line at 5

True. The Giants front office doesn't move too fast. That's half the reason they got called out by the fans in the first place.

Yeah, that's why I switched to the over on Schad's line. I do find it humorously ironic that he's using twitter, as the VP of communications, to bash the fans. Way to communicate!

Ravens have the best defense on paper

I know!!! Its great! Sold in many midwestern stores now!!! Get your 50 role pack NOW! It has Ravens over the paper and is so soft and supreme you'd just like to sleep with it!

August 12, 2011  06:24 PM ET

Where's my teddy bear? Here you go.....Ravens toilet paper is just the answer!

August 12, 2011  06:25 PM ET

Is the damn voting over with now?

August 12, 2011  07:11 PM ET

I'd go with the 85 bears. They have a better defense on paper

August 12, 2011  09:15 PM ET

Best defense on paper would have to be the Eagles.
