Cena is popular and McMahon loves him.

But better than Harley Race?

Race as well as other wrestlers like Ric Flair and "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers (don't know how I forgot about him) paved the way for these wrestlers today. They were wrestling when it wasn't the "in thing" and they were doing it for peanuts compared to the moolah the wrestlers make today.

-He held the NWA title 8 times in an era when wrestlers rarely repeated as a champion. (as opposed to the WWE where McMahon goes with this current favorite at the time)

-He worked for all the major wrestling promotions, the NWA, WCW, AWA and the WWF (at the time)

-Race is just 1 of 6 men inducted into WWE HOF, WCW HOF, the Professional Wrestling HOF as well as the The Wrestling Observer HOF.

Not to mention Race was a better wrestler than Cena who is basically a brawler or a thug if you will. The guy has no basic wrestling knowledge or fundamentals.

You love the WWE a little too much, PCH. You have to give respect and props to the guys that made all this possible.

Harley Race suffered through wrestling at a time when Ric Flair reigned supreme.

Kind of like if The Rock had never retired to become a movie star. We never would have heard of a wrestler named John Cena.

But make no mistake, Race was a legend.

The Piledriver was not the only finishing move he used, PCH. He also was an innovator of the Diving headbutt and he also used a Bridging cradle suplex.

Other moves he used that were well known:

Battering ram
Belly to belly suplex
head scissors
Indian deathlock
Knee drop
Scoop slam
Swinging neckbreaker
Vertical suplex

Some of his accomplishments include:

1973 PWI Match of the Year vs Dory Funk
1979 PWI Match of the Year vs Dusty Rhodes
1983 PWI Match of the Year vs Ric Flair
1979 PWI Wrestler of the Year
1983 PWI Wrestler of the Year

Like I said earlier he also wrestled when Flair was "The Man." Race was an excellent wrestler and competed against these wrestlers:

Cena? Cannot claim that. The Rock is back to end the Cena era in the WWE
