I have to say No. He hasn't stayed consistent, and a QB needs to stay consistent on a team. Here are his DOWNSIDE highlights of last year and part of this year:

1) 26 INT's in 2 years so far. 20 Last year, and 6 this year. Not so good, now is it?

2) 59.5 Passer Rating between 2006, and 2007.

3) When they lost, he was HORRIBLE! He had 10 INT's and 1 TD. Shouldn't youat least do a little production, even if you don't win?

4) Had a QB Rating of under 82.9 8 times in the last 2 years. Which is almost half of his games.

5) He stinks in the second half of Football games with 12 INT's and only 7 TD's. Not good there.

He is too inconsistent to start for the Bears. They have a good defense, but you do need an offense to score points. I don't think he will be the starter next year for a few reasons:

- He already lost his starting job.
- Too inconsistent in games.
- Has more INT's than TD's; 28 TD's and 32 INT's, CAREER.
- He can't run, and a QB needs to run at times. 24 ATTEMPTs, 2 Rush Yards.

I really can't see him starting if he is being too inconsistent. It is a DEFINENT No, if Brian Griese or Kyle Orton can play better. I am not seeing him start next year.

I think he is going to play again. Just today in his first game as a starter Brian Griese threw 3 interceptions in 2005 his firs year as a starter he threw 9 td's and had 13 ints and had a 59.3 pr. When Kyle Orton did play a couple of years ago he was too inconsistent. In 2006 in his first full year as a starter he threw 23 touchdowns. The Bears offensive struggles can't all be hinged on Grossman this year. Cedric Benson is struggling and his receivers havent been catching the ball for him.

I don't think he will start again. You need to look at TD's AND INT's. He had 23 TD's and 20 INT's. That is not good when you look at it. Brian Griese played in more games. I don't think you should count a player out after one game, I don't like when that happens.

Kyle Orton played LESS than 1 FULL season. So you can't really tell if he will be good or not. We may never know.

Rex Grossman played for a FULL season and then 3 games. He couldn't keep himself together, after averaging 2 INT's per game this year. When he played good he was good. When he played bad, he was TERRIBLE. I don't see how you can keep starting him if he will throw it to the other team.

I don't think you can blame the recievers for the problems Grossman has been having. Look at his #1 reciever's stats:

Muhsin Muhammad:

11 Years
700 REC
9,400+ YDS
53 TD's

I don't think a good veteran like him is the problem. They actually need to throw it to him more. I still think Rex Grossman's problems have been his own fault. How can you point fingers at the WR's? They have done good when the ball was thrown to them.

Grossman can't stay consistent, Orton hasn't either. Not sure if EITHER starts.

I dont believe that Griese is the right guy for Chicago, throughout his entire career he hasnt been able to play an entire season. Fans in Chicago were complaining about Grossman's inconsistency, they're going to have the exact same complaints about Griese..lets look at some of Griese's career numbers for a couple seasons...1999 14 tds and 14 ints, 2000 19 tds 4 ints, 2001 23 tds 19 ints, 2002 15 tds 15 ints, 2003 5 tds 6 ints. Grossman is still relatively young and can turn around it around.

I think he could get the job done, if they had a better O-Line. For a QB to get hurt, they have to be sacked or hit when they are running. That proves that he hasn't had any protection from his linemen.

I don't see Grossman turning it around in CHICAGO. I just don't see it happening with they way even Bears fans are acting. I don't think an owner is going to keep a guy, that won't bring the money in for him. The fans will want to see a new face and not rely on him to do good, when he does bad 50% of the time.

That is another reason, why he should not stay. Fans will dislike the fact that they won't go with someone else if he plays... As I said before, it is possible for him to turn around. But, I don't think he will turn it around for the Bears.

Let me ask you this. HYPOTHETICALLY SPEAKING:

Lets say your Packers lost Brett Favre to retirement, and they brought in a fresh QB to do the job. He doesn't start the first season. He loses his job the second season. He starts the third season and gets hurt. He plays all of his 4th season, but does good ONLY 50% of the time. This year he averages 2 INT's per game.

Would you want that kind of QB starting on your team?

Chicago fans need to be patient with Grossman. Even Kyle Boller got a year and a half to prove himself in Baltimore. The Bears coaches payed too much attention to the media and sports talk radio. The second string quarterback always looks good to the fans, because just that there the second string quarterback.

To answer your hypothetical question. When Favre does retire Aaron Rodgers is there, I believe that just like Grossman he will be given every chance to succeed.

hopefully, none of the QB's on our roster will be the starting QB

That defense was terrible they need to tackle better I know pretty much our entire team is banged up but the Bears might as well hold a try out for QB, RB, and WR. I have no idea who should be the QB I would say try out Orton next week. Grossman should have started today he is 2-0 versus the Lions.
