You tried to do this TD last week and never started it, so you'll be doing it this time.

1. Adrian Peterson, Vikings - No explanation necessary

2. Ray Rice, Ravens - A great dual threat RB and an incredibly hard runner. Had a down year with just 1700 yards from scrimmage and 6 TDs

3. Rashard Mendenhall, Steelers - He's pretty underrated. His stats are much better than I thought with back to back 1100 yard seasons and had 13 TDs last year.

4. Cedric Benson, Bengals - The one bright spot for the Bengals is that they have a good RB that has had 1100 yards+ seasons in back to back years

5. Matt Forte, Bears - He's never matched his productivity of his rookie year, but he's had 1400+ yards from scrimmage all 3 years

6. Peyton Hillis, Browns - Right now, he's nothing more than a one-year wonder who I'm not sold on. I'm not saying he'll be bad, I'm just saying he's gotta produce another year to prove he belongs higher.

7. Ryan Grant, Packers - Had two solid years, but coming off an injury, he's got something to prove still

8. Jahvid Best, Lions - Totally unproven at this point

I agree with the top 3.

4-Peyton Hillis.

270 carries, 1,177 yards, 4.4ypc, 73.6ypg, 57 First Downs with 11 TD's

61 catches (in 77 targets), 477 yards, 7.8ypc, 29.8ypg with 2 TD's

103.4 total ypg

5-Matt Forte.

237 carries, 1,069 yards, 4.5ypc, 66.8ypg, 42 First Downs with 9 TD's

51 catches (70 targets), 547 yards, 10.7ypc, 34.2ypg with 3 TD's

101 total ypg

6-Cedric Benson.

Benson has only had 1 good year and last season was not it.

321 carries, 1,111 yards, 3.5ypc, 69.4ypg, 59 First Downs with 7 TD's

He had just 28 catches (38 targets) for 178 yards, 6.4ypc, 11.1ypg with 1 TD

75.8 total ypg

His best year was 2009 when he had 1,251 yards (4.2ypc) but he regressed last year, averaging almost a full ypc less.

Lets see him do it again.

Hillis is a much better receiver out of the backfield and gives Colt McCoy an outlet if the WR's are locked down and unable to get open.

Your turn.

BRING IT, DOGG!!!!

So let me get this straight. Cedric Benson rushes for 1111 yards, yet it's not a good year, but Peyton Hillis rushes for 66 more yards, yet it is a good year?

C'mon DJ.

You're are putting ENTIRELY too much stock in yards per carry right now. Does it really matter how many carries it takes to get to 1000 yards? Benson doing it on 50 more carries just means to me that he's more of a workhorse back, which is perfectly acceptable.

Now, you listed last year's stats, but let's look at the year before that even

PH - 13 carries, 54 yards, 1 TD; 4 catches, 19 yards
MF - 258 carries, 929 yards, 4 TD; 57 catches, 471 yards
CB - 301 carries, 1251 yards, 6 TD; 17 catches, 111 yards

So it's clear that consistency means absolutely nothing to you. You are all about Hillis, the one year wonder who barely cleared 50 yards 2 seasons ago and, for whatever reason, are dumping on Cedric Benson, easily the most consistent of the 3 backs.

You love your stats DJ. Men lie, women lie, but STATS DON'T LIE. If your one reason for putting Benson below both Forte and Hillis is his ypc number, that's a weak argument.

"So let me get this straight. Cedric Benson rushes for 1111 yards, yet it's not a good year, but Peyton Hillis rushes for 66 more yards, yet it is a good year?"

4.4ypc

3.5ypc

Simple math. Which is greater?

"You're are putting ENTIRELY too much stock in yards per carry right now. Does it really matter how many carries it takes to get to 1000 yards?"

Um, quite simply?

Hell yes!!!

Hillis was tied for 14th in ypc

Benson was 43rd in ypc!!!

The Bengals did not have a reliable backup so Benson got the bulk of his teams carries.

"Now, you listed last year's stats, but let's look at the year before that even

PH - 13 carries, 54 yards, 1 TD; 4 catches, 19 yards
MF - 258 carries, 929 yards, 4 TD; 57 catches, 471 yards
CB - 301 carries, 1251 yards, 6 TD; 17 catches, 111 yards"

This isn't about CAREER.

It's this moment in time. And right now? Hillis is a better runner (almost a full ypc more) and a waaaaaay better receiver out of the backfield.

61 is more than DOUBLE the catches Benson had.

So Hillis is the more balanced and complete player plus Hillis is a heck of a blocker.

So you're whole reasoning for putting Hillis over Benson is he has a higher yards per carry. That's what you spent the 700 or so characters of your thoughts on in that last argument.

That's a new type of lunacy DJ.

Rashard Mendenhall's ypc is just 3.9 yards, and he Peyton Hillis had just about as many yards as him. Does that mean Hillis is better than him too?

Consistency is the name of the game and Benson has shown it while Hillis hasn't. While this isn't a career-based TD, you can't just simply ignore the past. Benson is a more proven back while Hillis just burst on to the scene out of no where. You're the king of knee jerk reactions, so it's no surprise that you are all over the Hillis bandwagon.

What's your reasoning for putting Hillis over Forte too? I mean, Forte averaged .1 more ypc. He should be ahead of him. And Forte ran behind an awful offensive line while Hillis has the luxury of running behind a great line.

In fact, the year before Hillis came, Jerome Harris ran for 880 yards and had 1000 yards from scrimmage behind that same line. And he had a 4.4 ypc. He must be better than Benson too.

Consistentcy? He was consistently bad in Chicago. Just ask Assassin. He averaged 4.1ypc twice and 3.4ypc. He was considered to be a huge bust In Chi-town.

He went to Cincinnati and averaged 3.5ypc in 214 carries in 2008. But being the Bungles that was better than what they had, so they kept him.

He played well in 2009 when he averaged 4.2ypc (and 96ypg) but came back down to earth last season when he averaged
3.5tpc and a very sad 69ypg running the ball.

Hillis is a better receiver than Forte. Caught 79% of passes thrown to him.

Forte? Caught 72% of passes thrown his way.

Plus Hillis had more total ypg.

Jerome Harris? Jerome Harris?

Nope, no Jerome Harris.

Bandwagon fan? I actually use reason and don't let my homerism blind me. I have no problem arguing against the Lakers or a favorite team. You take homerism to a Confucius-like level.

Cedric is way too high.

3.5ypc sucks. And is below the League average.

He rushes for over a 1,000 yards so who cares how he does it, he gets it done
