lets not get it twisted..

Shogun's first fight in the UFC was Forrest..

A LOT has changed since then..

no offense to Forrest, but i lost respect for him, when he acted like a baby and ran outta the arena, after the crushing defeat from Anderson Silva..

Saying Forrest is not going to beat Shogun is just asinine Peach. Of course Forrest can beat Shogun, he has done it before and he can do it again.

What is this "A LOT" has changed? Has Shoguns conditioning improved? Has Forrest gotten smaller in 4 years?

Forrest running out of the cage after he lost to Anderson has no bearing on this fight. Forrest has won 2 in a row since losing to Anderson, and he still holds some big edges over Shogun in this fight tomorrow.

First Griffin is the much bigger fighter. He'll have a noticeable size advantage. He'll also hold the advantage in the conditioning department and the grappling department.

Shogun will come out aggressive as always and Forrest knows this. Forrest will look to take Shogun down and wear on him, looking to get the fight in the 2nd round. If Forrest is able to get this in the 2nd round I believe it will be his fight to lose.

Shogun has never shown great conditioning in grappling heavy fights, and Griffin knows this. I think FG has a great shot to wear on Shogun and either sub him or win a decision. Look for a similar fight to the last one.

You can't say there is no way FG can win this fight, of course he can.

Shogun's ko'd Mark Coleman, Ko'd Lyoto Machida, and Ko'd Chuck Liddell.

ALSO, Shogun Rua had a significant knee injury in his first fight with Forrest.

Shogun will COME AT FORREST this time..

Shogun will use his kicks and jumping punches to set Forrest off, and inevitably end Forrest's night..

This fight is in SHOGUN'S HOME TOWN, and Shogun is a 100% healthy this time, he's got octagon experience, and now wants to get his lightheavy weight title BACK! ..

You can't say there is no way FG can win this fight, of course he can.

Sure, if there's a will, there's a fkrn way..

but Shogun is a little too explosive for Forrest, via kicks and running punches..

making fun of running punches all you want, but he did lay Machida down to rest, Machida's only ko loss in his history..

Lol at KO wins over Coleman and Liddell. Coleman was 45 and both guys looked like chain smokers running a marathon. And it was not a great stoppage at the end. Both guys looked horrible.

A stiff breeze could KO Chuck at that point. Why even bring those fights up?

Shogun looked god awful in his last fight against Jones. Now, I know Jones is a monster, but I think a lot of LHW's would have beaten Shogun on that night.

Who cares where the fight is Peach? I mean, the cage will be closed and the crowd won't be able to help Shogun. That means so little its ridiculous. Will the crowd give Shogun an oxygen mask in the 2nd round?

I really like Shogun, honestly I do. I like him a little more than Forrest but I think you're hoping the old destroyer Shogun shows up and there is no evidence that will be the case.

I think Forrest will play it smart in the 1st round, and avoid the big punch. He will push Shogun up against the cage, work for takedowns and use his size to lean on Shogun and wear him out.

Come the 2nd round Shogun will begin to fade, and Forrest will turn it up and win the remaining rounds or even sub him at the end like the 1st fight. Close fight but give me FG.

Yeah, Yeah..

Coleman and Liddell suck i guess, in ya'll eyes, I still see them aS NAME victories.. I also, think coleman's chin is pretty damn durable.. anywho.. I was just showing Shogun's ko ability since Forrest vs Shoguns first go 'round..

I was a little hard on Forrest, but, under adversity, sHOWS true character..

One big thing in fight number 1, between Forrest and Shogun, Shogun was NOT HEALTHY..

Yes, Forrest is much bigger than Shogun, check!

But here's the thing, Forrest hasn't Ko'd anybody since.. UFC 65

that's a while back...

Shogun is lighting 'em , minus the Bones Jones fight..

Shogun's lethal striking will play a big part tonight in RIO, Brazil..

The ONLY reason i brought up the HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE is because Shogun wants to perform at TOP LEVEL for his fans, and Shogun WANTS redemption against Forrest..

Forrest beat a unhealthy Shogun the first time, this is not the case tonight..

Nice TD Peachy.

Listen you might be right??? in fact I think either Shogun ends this early in the 1st or Forrest grinds him out for. A decision. Point is you cannot discount Forrest Griffin. He's as game as they come.

I've listed the path to victory for Griffin so there is no point in going over that again. I am just rooting for Shogun to be healthy so we as fight fans can get the fight that we want.

One more thing on the fight. Saying Griffin has not k'od anyone in a while would be a valid point if I was predicting a Forrest ko but I'm not. Maybe Forrest can score a tko in the 3rd when Shogun is gassed but I do not envision a ko.

We shall see what happens soon. Have fun watching the fights. Let's hope we get a 100% Shogun Rua but I have my doubts.

GO USA!!!!

Expect to see more lunging half a**ed punches from Shogun. So far I agree with Jim, FG will wear him out and finish in the third or win a UD.

Soon to be 4-1. I'm not certain Griffin will win, but right's arguments are just better.

Yeah, yeah.. Forrest is just GREAT.. let me tell you.. the WEAK part is went i brought up he's fighting at HOME, gotcha! But i think it's significant, because he's been training in L.A. and it's even MORE motivation for him.. When's the last time Forrest Ko'd somebody? lmao

*WHEN NOT WENT>.

I read the title thinking this was about Forrest Gump, but I read it again and was disappointed.

Yeah, I agree with what Jim is saying. Griffin is the bigger fighter and he won't get tired. If Shogun doesn't knock him out in the first (not likely) he'll lose the fight.
