for my first pick..

Shawn Michaels vs the Undertaker, Bad Blood '97 HELL IN THE CELL.. yes, I know about Mankind's infamous drop off the top, King of the Ring? My pick was a highly entertaining match, Michaels and Taker putting on a show for right @ 30 minutes.. the Debut of KANE was the cost of the match, leaves HBK with the sweet victory.. This fight's significance, it was the #1 contender match for Bret Hart at Survivor Series, Kane actually put the "Montreal Screw job" in motion.. lol wow... ;) It also was the very first Hell in the Cell matchup from Vinnie Mac..

R.I.P Brian Pillman, he passed away a day after this Bad Blood event..

well, I guess that's it.. o, hold on..

the UNDERTAKER needs to retire, I guess he just fights Wrestle Mania's.. lol

Just a small correction. Brian died the morning of Badd Blood. Vince announced it on the Free for all before the show started.

Anyway my first Cage match was Bret Hart vs Owen Hart at Summerslam 94.

Owen was battleing his brother in his first opportunity at a World Championship on a major Pay Per View. The match was for the most part a very technical match. I really enjoyed watching these two face off. The suplex off the top of the cage by Bret on Owen goes down as one of the most seen moves of all time. It may not have been the biggest stunt of all time. But the two had such great chemistry, it made for a classic steel cage match.

In my opinion the Hell in a Cell is not a traditional cage match. But this is your TD so if you want to include HIAC then that is fine on my end.

thanks for your "small correction", just showing some love to "Fly'N Brian"..

nice match, seriously, nice match..

Not like I forgot that one, but alright..

for my next pick..

Triple H vs Ric Flair, Taboo Tuesday 2005..

Talk about to big time players squaring off..

Triple H 13 time world champion vs Ric Flair..WOOOOO 21x World HW champ..

believe it or not, Flair put on a show, and Triple H can help even the worst wrestlers look good, so you arleady know the deal on this matchup..

This match was not for the World Title, it was for the I-C title, and the old dirt bag, Ric Flair wins, via escape of the 20 foot steel cage..

This fight was the co-main event of 2005's Taboo Tuesday, in my opinion, this fight outshined the main event, that consisted of Kurt Angle vs John Cena vs HBK..

You pulled a rabbit out of the hat. Not a major match, but a good one indeed.

For my next cage match, I am going with Undertaker vs Mankind at King of the Ring 98.

Hell in a Cell. One of the most classic matches in the history of the WWE. Not one, Not two, but THREE major spots in this match. Including the infamous throwing off the top of the Cell.

This match solidified Foley's career. And gave Hell in a Cell a new perspective.

Talking about a new perspective, this type cage match im about to talk about, revolutionized the steel cage as well..

could arguably be just as good.. OR BETTER than the WWE's Hell in the Cell match

5 on 5, TWO RINGS?

I'm going with War Games.. July 28th 1988

Dusty Rhodes

Road Warrior Hawk

Road Warriorp Animal

Sting

Nikiti Koloff

vs

the 4 horse men

Ric Flair

Arn Anderson "the Enforcer"

Tully Blanchard

Barry Windham

JJ Dillon

These 10 legends went toe to toe in the double cage..

Sting submits Dillon in the scorpion deathlock, that's the outcome of this brawl for all..

This was the last war games' of the year, '88.

The next had no mustard like this dance, filled with WCW michael Jackson's..

War Games...something they really need to bring back. I miss those days. Nice pick.

For my final cage match I am going with the classic Jimmy Snuka vs Don Murocco. Another classic WWE matchup for the Intercontinental Championship.

This match has been deemed to be one of the most classic cage matches of all time. When Jimmy Snuka did his big splash off the top of the cage. You see this time and time again when the WWE relives highlights from the past.

Most people dont even realize who won that match. Only that Snuka did this amazing feat. Even Mick Foley stated that it was that match that got him hooked on to professional wrestling.

Without this match, we may never have seen a style of wrestling like we see today.

When you only wrestle from January (Royal Rumble) to Wrestle Mania (Late March/Early Apr) each year doesn't that alreay make you retired in alll but name??

September 22, 2011  11:27 AM ET

the UNDERTAKER needs to retire, I guess he just fights Wrestle Mania's.. lol

Taker has been a part-timer for awhile now...he was supposed to come back for SUmmerslam but he recently married Michelle McCool in real life and wanted to spend some time with her starting a family and such.

He will return at the Rumble, start a rivalry with either Mark Henry or Jinder Mahal, win at Wrestlemania, and call it a career.

I would rather he feud with some bigger name then Henry or Mahal for his final run. I agree it's time for him to hang up the tights he has had an awesome career that will never be repeated.

But come on you think they are going to send him off fighting an interim champ or a nobody? Bring back Foley as Mankind for one final run, they both tear the house down at Mania well overshadowing the farce that will be Cena/Rock and then both Foley and Taker stand in the ring shake hands call it quits.

Undertaker marrying McCool is the saddest thing I've heard in the past 20 years...

I would rather he feuded with a big name also, but he is on the Smackdown brand and they will try and push Mahal by using the rivalry, or since Henry is WHC, he'll feud with him. But I think they need to have Taker come to Raw for his last hurrah, so to speak, and go out in a blaze of glory facing a legend, whether it's Mankind, or someone else.

Foley has already retired several times....not that that matters much in wrestling :^)

The Branding is going away it's already being seen with the "Supershows", so Taker can face anyone on either roster. Even if the Brand lines weren't being blurred right now they would be for Mania, they typically always were that time of year.

Taker is too injured and worn down to face someone younger, it would just make the match look bad like his match against HHH this year. Considering that match of the night just goes to show how poor the other matches were. Foley is a fan favorite and just as beatup as Taker, so the slowness from a career of injuries won't so as much for with man as if they were taking on CM Punk or Dolf Ziggler. Add to that the fact that both Taker and Foley can take a bad looking match and make something of it this matchup becomes visually better.

Make it truly the last hurrah for both celebrating their careers and feuds over the years, especially with a respecting handshake after the bell and you have a real Wrestlemania moment.

There's a classic WCW cage match. It has Ric Flair as a face teaming with Sting vs Terry Funk and The Great Muta. I think its from 1989. The cage is setup to go around the ring, similar to how Hell in a Cell is setup. They each had a person in their corner deemed the "Terminator", but it really meant each team has a person who can throw in the towel to submit for his team and that's the only way the match can be won. It was awesome. I didn't see it originally but I recorded it from TBS when they did one of their WCW All Nighters, if anyone remembers those. I think WCW and TBS did that two years in a row.

Foley should stay out of the ring in my opinion.

September 24, 2011  02:35 AM ET

Governor just messed up, last quarter century means last 25 years, Snuka and Morraco fought over 25 years ago..

Depends on whether he's in shape (for Mick) or Not??? :^)
