These Questions were put forth in the CBS Sports magazine for each team: I will answer the Q yes or No.
Disagree? Throwdown!
Q: Do the Bulls need to trade for a Star to win the Title?
A: No! Let me give you an example of who the Bulls can be-
a young Pistons- Not any big stars but several solid players and a coach willing to teach and players willing to learn.
And who knows who is going to be the star of this team? All have potential- Deng seems to be destined for greatness and Ben Gordon has support as well.
Think back was anyone impressed with Billups, Wallace and the rest a few years ago? Ben was a throw-in for the Hill trade Chauncy was on his 3rd stop and Rasheed couldn't get along with anyone.
Look at them now
The Bulls are young and Skiles makes them hungry- and until the Cap tears them apart they will challange for the East Crown.

I would disagree on saying that the Pistons didn't have any big time stars. I would say RIP Hamilton and Chauncey Billups are superstars in the NBA. Anyway I think the Bulls need one final piece to the puzzle. They are one of the most overrated teams this year and I am not buying the hype.

You miss my point
I am not talking of the Pistons NOW
I am talking of the Pistons 2001-2002 era- BEFORE the big run
The YOUNG pistons should have been the tipoff I am not talking about the 2007-2008 version

How I took it was that you were saying that they are the Pistons but younger.

Jordan played for years without getting too much help before he could breakthrough- it wasn't until his 4th year that he even broke out of the first round ( don;t tell anyone about that- they all think he came into the NBA in 1990 )
and even though he had good players such as Orlando Woolridge , Charles Oakley and Artis Gilmore they never were able to play together until they moved on or learned thier roles- but the Bulls know how to slow build for a long time-
What if Deng is the next Star? Almost every trade senario involves him- would you trade Jordan after year 3 and have a starting 5 of Oakley, Malone, Pippen Paxson and Sedale Threatt
( and yes this almost happened - imagine Jordan and Stockton on the same team - with Thurl bailey, Horace Grant and Mark Eaton upfront- David Stern's worst nightmare- but anyway . . . )
