These Questions were put forth in the CBS Sports magazine for each team: I will answer the Q yes or No.
Disagree? Throwdown!
Q: Bogut: Bust?
A: Lets look at the Numbers:
8.8 Reb
.5 Block
12 ppg
Can I live with a 12/9 7 foot Center? in his second year?
Will he make you forget who you could have had? No But lets look at the other Centers in the Central who are better than Him
The Z man is in year 10- and went for 11 and 7- so He's better than him.
Ben Wallance went 6 and 10- I'll take Bogut over him right now as well
The other 2 teams really don;t have a center to speak of.
Lets look at the East Centers Better than him
Shaq- Old but still better
Tyson Chandler might be better- if you count him as a center
same with Eddy Curry- but as a TRUE Center
Bogut is #2 in the East-
I'll take that-
over Marvin Williams? (2)
Raymond Felton? (5)
all day.
Not a Bust.

First off, let me point out a few errors in some of the stats that you have listed. Bogut is going into his third year in the league, not his second. And if you use rounding for Z's numbers the same way that you did for Bogut, his numbers are 12/8 not 11/7. But with both him and Ben, they are both far better defensive centers then Bogut. Especially Wallace, who's actual on-court production goes way beyond what he does with points and rebounds. As far as calling him a bust, it could be a little too early for that. But, you have to admit that his performance up till now has been underwhelming at best. Considering the fact that he was the first pick in the draft he really should be showing more.

First:
Those are his SECOND year stats
I',m good but not even I know his third year stats
Next- thank you for agreeing with me that he is not a bust. I appreciate it
The output Bogut has done still make him a top 3 pick if the draft was redone maybe even a 2 player picked-
and how soon before Kwame was declared a bust? Or Darko?
Training camp?

Thanks for taking 10 hours to respond. There are people who still believe that Darko is going to have a nice career, though that group is certainly smaller. Kwame has definitely been declared a bust, I agree with that.
And no way is he a top 3 pick. Deron Williams, Chris Paul, Raymond Felton all are better, and have huge upside. Throw in David Lee and Danny Granger and you could make an argument that he's not even a top 5 pick in a draft over.
If you go by those standards, then he is considered a bust.

Took you 5 hours to repond to my first arguement.
and you are welcome
ask asksome in Detroit if he was a bust- they drafted him
How'd he do in Orlando?
23 mpg- right there is a red flag
8 ppg and 5.5 rpg
thats a bust compared to the rest of the top 5.
onto 2005
1 Andrew Bogut (C) 12 ppg 8.8 rpg
2 Marvin Williams (SF) 13ppg - 5rpg - 1.9 apg
3 Deron Williams (PG) 16ppg - 9.3 apg
4 Chris Paul (PG) 17pg 8.9 apg
5 Raymond Felton (PG) 14ppg 7.0 apg
6 Martell Webster (G/F) 7.0ppg 0.6apg 2.4 rpg
Thats your top 6 - and the two you mentioned
Danny Granger (F) 13.9ppg 3.3 rpg -
David Lee (F) 10.7 ppg 10.4
Lets not forget this is a CENTER and his numbers are going to be different- plus Mil playes a different stlye than the bobcats and Hawks that alters his stats somewhat.
But there is still not real damage done- was there a better pick than him at number 1? absolutly- but that is the case in almost every draft.
But he is still a value pick at a postition that is not easily filled in the NBA- so he is NOT a bust.
I never said he should have been a top pick- but compared to Kwame - he's an All-Star
