These Questions were put forth in the CBS Sports magazine for each team: I will answer the Q yes or No.
Disagree? Throwdown!
Q: Will Mo Cheeks coach the Sixers in 2009?
A: No- Larry Brown is already on staff as a VP and loves a young roster. I think he would enjoy working with Iggy and Andre Miller- even if he does not want the job himself there are plenty of coaches that do.
Cheeks is almost 20 games under 500 for the 2 years he is in charge.
The Sixers did almost nothing in the offseason- and that also spells trouble for the current staff

Good question, good luck
I think that Mo will be coaching the Sixers through 2009. The SixerGood question, good luck
I think that Mo will be coaching the Sixers through 2009. The Sixer???s front office and especially Larry Brown are all devoted to both Mo Cheeks and Billy King.
And I???m sorry but the LAST thing Larry Brown loves is a young roster. When Brown coached with the Sixers he was known for inability to develop youth and instead prefers to deal with veterans, this can be shown by his success in Detroit.
The main reason I think Mo will still be coach can also be an argument for your last point. The Sixers do not have any money to spend until 2009. This year the Sixers have a $72 million payroll with $30 million of that locked up with Chris Webber and Aaron McKie.
While Cheeks record has been pretty dismal, I feel that the Sixers organization feels like they have not given a historic 76er and Philadelphia legend a fair shot of developing a team to his coaching philosophy.
Unfortunatly for 6ers fans, it's going to be a very painful process to watch.

Your Main 76ers are NOT rookies- that is what Brown hates
Andre Iguodala 3 years in
Kyle Korver 4 Years in
Andre Miller 8 Years in
NOT ROOKIES any of them - he likes players he can coach.
and all three players have been very coachable- even Miller who Karl did NOT want to let go.
The Sixers have next to nothing on thier roster and Brown will return to the sidelines sooner rather than later- the Bobcats were proof of that.
The High pick the Sixers get this year- plus a chunk of the cap coming off- gives them a great postion to get a primo free agent to succeed.
Kobe?
In any case Mo will not be around to see it.
