I think the NFL MVP is going to be Tom Brady. He's by far the most important player on the best team. He's got a 134.7 passer rating, and he's thrown 13 touchdowns and just 2 interceptions.

Alright it is going to be really hard to argue against Tom Brady who is putting up great numbers.
I thought about so many people including : Osi Umenyoria, Marlin Jackson, Barret Rudd, Joseph Addai, and Ernie Sims. But i didn't think that you would vote for me because the are defensive players and they have not been stars except for Addai.
I did not pick Addai because i have heard that he was injured.
So i am going to pick the person that Tom Brady has throwdown 7 of his 13 thouchdowns to and that is......
Randy Moss.
He is having a great season. He finally gets out of Oakland and puts up these insane numbers. Lets take at his stats through 4 games so far.
Receptions : 31
Touchdowns : 7
Yards : 505
1st Downs : 22
20+ : 8
40+ : 3
Those are some great numbers.
You could argue that he is having those great numbers because of Tom Brady.
You could also argue that Tom Brady is having a great season because of Randy Moss.

Tom Brady has put up great number throughout his career even without Randy Moss. In all of his years as a starter he's had a passer rating of over 85. The receiver is more relient on the quarterback than the qb is on the receiver. With a player like Donte Stallworth getting more into the mix you have to think that the offense is going to get even more spread out than it already is. I think Brady will win the MVP because he's the one getting the ball to all of these great playmakers.

You said that Brady has been putting up these numbers is whole carrer. Well his numbers this year are the best has ever had. Randy Moss , on the other hand, put up these great numbers that he is putting up this year when he was in Minnesota. You can't count his years in Oakland because his QB there was horrible.
Tom Brady is on pace to throw for 4500 yards. The most he has ever put up before Moss got here was 4100 yards.
Tom Brady is on pace for 52 passing touchdowns. The most he has ever throwdown before this season was 28.
His QB rating this season is 134.7. The best before this season was 92.6
His QB PCT this season is 79.2. The best before this season was 63.9
So you said that Brady always put up these great numbers that he is putting up this season. Those stats prove that he hasnt.
Those 2 stats can tell you that Brady is putting up better numbers because Moss is here now.
That is why you could say that Moss is bigger for Brady rather than Brady is bigger for Moss.
Moss 2007 Stats vs Best Season stats 2003
2007 Receptions : 31
2003 Receptions : 111
2007 Yards : 505
2003 Yards : 1632
2007 Touchdowns : 7
2003 touchdowns : 17

You said that Moss' numbers can be thrown out because he had a bad quarterback in Oakland. If having Moss is as crucial as you say it is than he should have put up these numbers in Oakland too. Instead though, Moss is only putting these numbers when he's had great quarterbacks, Culpepper and Brady.
Brady is going to win the MVP this year because the voters in the media tend to look at quarterbacks at a higher value.
PHIMan is on vacation said 10/05, 03:33 PM
Culpepper has not been good since Moss. That shows that maybe Culpepper was never good and he just had a great WR to throw to in Randy Moss.
This Tom Bradys best season by far.
This is not Randy Moss best season by far, it might not be his best season ever.
QBs don't always win the MVP. L.T was a running back and won it last year.
Randy Moss had Andrew Walter to throw to him in Oakland. Tell me how any WR can be good when he is their QB.
Since you said that Moss should have put up these numbers in Oakland, Well he did in Minnesota.
I didn't see Brady putting up these numbers before Moss came here. He had good seasons, but nearly as good as is having this year.
Moss helps his team get better. He will attract the double and triple teams and that will get other receivers involved. That is a MVP.
Brady has throwdown more Touchdowns to Moss than every other receiver on the Patriots combined. That is a pretty good reason why Brady depends more on Moss than Moss depends on Brady.

Report Offensive CommentNo defensive player will win it. You have to do something INCREDIBLE. Umenyiora, Jackson, and Simms won't come close to sniffing the jocks of the 5th place MVP finalist.

Report Offensive CommentHere is the rest of my 2nd argument :
So Moss has put up the numbers that he is putting up this year before.
So that proves it is not all because Brady is his QB.
