Who would you rather drop a piano on? Jim Rome or Rush Limbaugh?

Punishment is included, who ever lives is the only guy you can listen to from now on.
A little back story is necessary, I live in Buffalo and love talk radio. From noon to three we are given two choices Jim Rome or Rush Limbaugh. And I refuse to pay extra for a car/satelite radio. While both are equally infuriating, I feel dropping a piano on Jim Rome is well worth the horror of listening to Rush Limbaugh for the rest of my life.
Although the splatter of Rush would be more fun to watch, I think the death of Jim Rome would be much more fun ...
ROME DOME CAVES IN!

I by no means condone murder, but it is the only thing I can think about after listening to these two guys for three hours.

Ok, I'll take it, what the heck. I say Limbaugh. Yes they are both annoying. It would be funnier watching a piano drop on Linbaugh than Rome. And while Rome is very annoying, at least I'd be listening to sports talk the rest of my life. Sure beats listening to Limbaugh cry about how the Democrats are ruining this country.

That is if you can understand what he is saying. The entire show is filled with nothing but inside jokes and SOCAL terminology. Its is also half and half dead air and Jim Rome reading to himself a poorly prepared fifth grade essay on the previous days dribble. Besides, the guy has not had an interesting opinion in years. His show is basically a potheads version of Sportscenter, but the problem is you have to have a stellar memory in order to follow any of it.

True, Rome sucks. But to listen to Rush go on and on and on would make me want to puke. According to him, a Republican has NEVER EVER done anything wrong, and it's nauseating.

Think about it this way, Limbaugh is old, overweight, and full of drugs. He has to die soon anyways. Guys like Jim Rome seem to live forever.

Do people actually talk like that in Southern California anyway?

True enough, but wouldn't it be funny to hear someone like Jim Everett on the set of his show beat the crap out of him again? And I would rather be guaranteed to listen to sports talk radio for the rest of my life than political talk radio.

Good TD buffalo.

Gotta be Limbaugh. But it's close. Very, very close.

October 5, 2007  02:38 PM ET

Close but getting rid of "political" talk radio and listening to sports is beter.

October 5, 2007  02:41 PM ET

that's what I think, stowe

October 5, 2007  02:42 PM ET

Jim rome is waaaaaaaaaaaay more obnoxious.

October 5, 2007  02:44 PM ET

Rome may be annoying but at least he does talk about sports. His TV show isn't as bad as his radio show though.

Limbaugh is just as annoying.

October 5, 2007  02:45 PM ET

Tough one

Rush - McNabb basher & prescription pain killer abuser w/ syndicated talk show

Rome - Physical throwdown w/ Jim Everett, unwatcheable ESPN program & syndicated sports radio show.

Gotta say Rush, can't tolerate conservative talk radio and any sports talk radio host beats the best conservative talk radio host.

I knew I would get killed, it is si.com for gods sake.

October 5, 2007  03:04 PM ET

DAMN THIS IS TOUGH...GUESS SPORTS IS BETTER THAN POLITICAL RADIO....

October 5, 2007  03:20 PM ET

Cant a piano drop on both of them?

October 5, 2007  03:21 PM ET

Actually, Rush has come down on many Republicans, including President Bush, many times. You don't listen to him, so you wouldn't know that.

October 5, 2007  03:27 PM ET

Actually I do listen to him and have read two of his books. I was making an argument about how annoying he can be to win the TD.

October 5, 2007  03:33 PM ET

but you don't know me, so you wouldn't know that.

October 5, 2007  03:37 PM ET

Rush is right.
Rome is very annoying.

October 5, 2007  03:37 PM ET

"According to him, a Republican has NEVER EVER done anything wrong, and it's nauseating."

I may not know you, but I now know I can't trust what you write either.

October 5, 2007  03:40 PM ET

And thanks for ruining my sports site with politics.

October 5, 2007  03:40 PM ET

"Pick a topic, I'll argue it. Change sides, and I'll pick up the argument from the other side. I don't care if I'm right or wrong, or if I win or lose the argument."

This is all I was doing. Much like what you wrote in your profile. Pretty hypocritical of you, don't you think John? It was an argument, nothing more and nothing less. Much like buffalo talking about Rome reading a fifth grade essay.

October 5, 2007  03:50 PM ET

And that's the truth about me. But I won't LIE in either of them. Unless of course, you like be nauseated.

October 5, 2007  03:52 PM ET

Gee, I wish I could have made this a 3-way dance & put Stephen A. Smith in there...

October 5, 2007  03:52 PM ET

In other words, what I wrote wasn't hypocritical at all. I can argue both sides of an argument without pretending I hate someone I actually like I can point out Rush's flaws without acting like I'm nauseated by what he said.

October 5, 2007  06:05 PM ET

It's my point of view, John, from what I have heard and read from him. It's my opinion, it's not a lie. What you call "coming down on Republicans" I call giving them a pass. Truth be told, more often than not I agree with him. Doesn't mean I don't think he gives Republicans a free pass. It's MY take on him. You may not like my take, but I couldn't give a ****.

That being said, quit whining because I said something you disagreed with. You need to learn to accept other people's opinions and quit whining like a little girl. Your assumption that I don't listen to him was presumptuos and ignorant. And when pointed out, you keep whining. It's what you did here, and yesterday in the Ruth MVP TD.

Oh, and I didn't pretend to hate him. I said him being a Republican apologist is nauseating. Much like the way CNN and The New York Times does for Democrats. Another ignorant assumption on your part.
