I've seen numerous donkeys say that Favre should retire, is selfish and is holding GB back. Name one other NFL QB that could have GB 4-0 this season.

I don't know what "donkeys" are saying that, or why you're listening to farm animals in the first place, but as for another QB who could have the Pack 4-0 I can name 3 of the. Tony Romo, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning.

Not a chance.

Well, considering those 3 QBs all have THEIR teams at 5-0 while Brett has his at 4-1 "not a chance" is not much of an argument.

Consider that each of those 3 has a running game and more talent around him that is not much of an argument either. Manning is a front runner, Romo is still prone to mistakes and if Brady ever changed teams he'd probably never be heard from again. None of thos guys would be 3-2 with the Packer team.

Brett Favre is not the QB Brady and Manning are right now. Once upon a time, maybe, but not now. To claim those two couldn't attain 4 wins with the Pack is absurd. Romo is very similar to Favre in how they play the game and Tony is younger and quicker at this point. The Packers won because of their Defense, and Favre doesn't play linebacker, last I checked. giving the QB ALL of the credit for their start is to not know how they got there in the first place.

I agree brett farve has suprised everyone this season, but he hasn't been hit yet. As soon as people figure out how to get to him sorry it's over.

October 7, 2007  09:04 AM ET

Devin, you must not have seen Week 1 against the Eagles. Favre was really getting hit in that game.

October 7, 2007  09:25 AM ET

Yep, those are 3 other QB's who could have GB at 4-0. NFC Norris Div is weak this year too (easy schedule so far...)

October 10, 2007  12:10 AM ET

Easy schedule O? 4 of the 5 teams they played made the playoffs last year.

October 11, 2007  03:25 AM ET

"4 of the 5 teams they played made the playoffs last year."

So? What does last year have to do with anything? It sure isn't getting the Bears, Saints, Giants, and Chargers a free pass this year.

Bring your A game when u arguing with the Big Boys

Love Favre but your argument is weak......CCC gets the vote.....

October 11, 2007  08:16 AM ET

CCC

I wld take Favre over Romo right now especially after MNF.....Brady and PEYTON Manning are better......

October 11, 2007  08:35 AM ET

Brady would never be heard from again if he changed teams? You must be on something strong!

October 11, 2007  08:36 AM ET

ROMO IS NOT FAVRE!!!!!

October 11, 2007  08:37 AM ET

Giants are 3-2 and have won three in a row. They are a playoff contender again. Chargers are bound to come back and win their division. Bears, dunno, still a coin flip.

October 11, 2007  08:40 AM ET

Yeah, Peyton is a fraud. He's just propped up by his running game. Seriously, it's polite to share.

October 11, 2007  09:08 AM ET

Problem is, none of those QBs would leave their respective teams to go play for the Packers.

October 11, 2007  09:14 AM ET

Sorry st, I think Favre is great, but no other QB would have the Pack at 4-0?? No way, vote for CCC

October 11, 2007  09:38 AM ET

ROMO IS NOT FAVRE!!!! AND FAVRE IS NOT WASHED UP!!!

October 11, 2007  09:56 AM ET

None of those 3 QBs would leave their current team. I think the argument was "what free agent QB this past offseason would have the Packers 4-1" in which case, I don't think there was/is any FA QBs that would have the Pack where it is now.

It seems pretty clear to me. st857 says

"Name one other NFL QB that could have GB 4-0 this season."

I think Manning and Brady are in play.

October 11, 2007  01:02 PM ET

Quick note to Devin 65: people have been trying to hit Favre for 15 years. Some have succeeded (think Warren Sapp). What usually happens? Bret jumps up, knocks helmets with his tackler (think warren Sapp) and ups his game a notch.

Think 262 consecutive starts.

"Name one other NFL QB that could have GB 4-0 this season."

Awful lot of Packers homers around here if they are buying THIS argument as legitimate.
