Boy what a drop off eh? All that hype for this guy and he just dumps a dookie on his career this year...he is done eh?

I've been waiting for the Phillip Rivers TDs to start, and I'm still waiting.

Rivers is having a bad year. Last week against Kansas City he botched a snap that most High School QBs have never known the likes of. This week he missed obvious open pass routes and had them replaced with pick 6s. But you're saying he's done eh? How about "NO HE ISN'T?

That's a stretch if ever I've read one. Since this TD was created today, lets take a look at today. He was 26/46 passing (not good) for 385 yards, 4 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. Nothing that Tom Brady hasn't done already this season and I don't hear you saying he's done?

Rivers' play this season is unlike any of his previous 5 in comparison. But, he's a long way from being done.

Did you see Rivers lateral to Tolbert? That's old school thinking and it turned out to be one of the best plays in the NFL this week. Albeit coming on a play where he exposed the ball much like Tim Tebow does.

Rivers is being distracted by something. This isn't a physical problem, so I strongly believe he'll overcome it. It might not happen next week or even this season, but he will overcome it.

Rivers is being DISTRACTED.

Forfeited Turn

You can bet that an open receiver on a pick off pass will come to the sideline after the play and let Rivers know he was open. Rivers is also going to spend time watching game film and seeing exactly where that reciever was. Rivers is just as aware of his shortfalls as you and I are.

This isn't a black and white topic. There's no reason to believe he's suddenly washed up and on his way out as a QB. He's taking the blame for what's been happening and he will address the problems head on with support from his teammates and coaches.

All I'm looking for from you is an argument breaking down your beliefs as to why he is now done in the NFL. Throw me a bone here. Anything? I would rather not be left to argue this TD all by myself.

Forfeited Turn

I could try and ad lib a closing argument here, but with only two sentences to ad lib from I really don't have enough to go on.

Yes, his entire career is over. Time to hang up the cleats.

I'll be honest, I was surprised, I thought the Titans would win. Good game, EZ.

I'm still waiting for Confucius to explain away Rivers absolutely horrific play this year but lefts argument is a joke.

It's kind of amusing. Romo has a bad game and people around here jump on him like he's the most over rated QB in history. Rivers has a horrible HALF A SEASON and it barely gets mentioned.

Romo 13TD Rivers 11TD
Romo 7INT Rivers 14INT

Rivers is threatening to snatch Eli's title of "ultimate interception machine"...

Phillis misses Sproles. That sadness has lead to a **** of turnovers. Or something.

I'm so low on virtual memory that I don't think I can submit an argument. I already tried once. I'm going to give it another try and If it doesn't submit, I'll drop this. Thanks for your patience.

I can't research this and I'm using a dictionary for spell check. But, my television is helping me out.

No one likes a crybaby. "Waaaaaa waaaaaaaa! Stop criticizing my fav player!" LOL.... Just shut up.

As a neutral opinion in CCC's argument, not a Romo or Cowboys fan by any means, his point is valid. Rivers' awful season is widely being overlooked, whereas every pass Romo makes is under microscopic criticism. So he actually has a point.

Not as good as I had hoped for, but I have an argument posted and I'm getting more memory ASAP!

Rivers team is in first place, Romo's is not. Not saying that their standings are a direct result of either ones play, but i feel that has something to do with the level of criticism. Also, when you play for the Dallas Cowboys you are going to be under the microscope more so then most teams.

Romo is Quarterbacking America's Team. Of course it's going to be under a microsope. There really is a huge difference between Dallas and San Diego as far as football history is concerned. Dallas is the most highly followed team in the country. Yes, you can argue with me about it, but that won't make it less true. As for CCC, he ALWAYS has a point. I have never questioned that fact.

Sorry Cuban, that response was intended for comment #14 which you already had covered.
