TITLE.. Who so far, has been the BEST fantasy waiver wire pick up this SEASON
an easy one..
My dumbas* picked Phillip Rivers and CJ first.. lmao! I know, it sucked, but thank GOD i have football knowledge. haha Traded Larry Fitz for Arian Foster, while Foster was banged up early on this season.. lol
now, to my best WAIVER WIRE pick..
I received CAM NEWTON..
The dude's lighting it up..

The best Fantasy Waiver pick-up is completely based on the league itself and its scoring.
What about team needs vs team wants? You had Rivers, and while he has not had a great year for him he's still thrown the 5th most yards and 11 TDs which ties him with Vick, Cutler and your Newton. Now don't get me wrong, I am aware that Newton separates himself from Rivers with his legs and his rushing TDs.
While Newton has certainly scored more points in just about any way the league is scored(unless INTs are worth plus points), the margin in which he has scored varies.
What may have been a decent waiver pick up for you, would have been monstrous for the poor shmuck that drafted Peyton Manning hoping he would miss limited time.
The week McCoy was on bye was the same week DeMarco Murray rushed for 253 yards. Do you know who picked him off the waivers and started him in McCoys place that week? If you said I did you are correct. I think that was a GREAT Waiver move.
There is no doubting Newton has been a pleasant surprise to many fantasy owners, but this sounds a lot like an easy win attempt. And Newton was drafted late in my league... so he was not on the waivers.

Most people didn't expect Cam to throw for damn near a 1,000 yards in the first two games..
Sure, Cam might have gone in some of the late rounds, by way of 12-14th round..
I base my fantasy leagues of TD'S ..
Cam Newton is on pace to smash Peyton Mannings' rookie passing record. Cam Newton has 2393 yards passing.. I mean sh8t, ole Scam's got 319 yards rushing! hahah
The only way Cam Newton was picked in this years' fantasy draft, was if, there's was a CAm newton nut in the draft, or, just a big Auburn fan..
I know the stats would show Cam to have been in the waiver wire pre week 1.. We knew hew as bada.s.*, but there's a lotta decent fantasy options as far as the qb's go..
As far as this being a easy win attempt, I think Dalton, who's in the running for Rookie of the Year on offense also, could have put up a strong argument in this td, so don't get all high on your LIL PONY. lol

The difference between Newton and Dalton in my fantasy league is 80+ points? you think that is close?
1 - 20 y passing
4 - passing tds
-1 - int
-1 - fum
1 - 10 y rushing
6 - rushing tds
-1 - fum
It's not even close. Name one person that has even come close to the point production that likely was on the waivers at the start of the season.
But nonetheless I i stated before, a great fantasy wire move/pickup is not always defined as what he did for you for the season but what they did for you to make up for bye weeks and injuries throughout the season. These are the times that waiver moves typically make or break you.
I had a guy in one league who drafted Aaron Rodgers then picked up Cam Newton after week 1. Well you know how many starts Cam has had for his team?
Granted there is always a surprise player or 2 but typically if you are using the waivers after week 1 or 2 to fill in your starting roster you either drafted VERY POOR, or you suffered major injuries.
So point being, Picking up Demarco Murray on my number 1 RBs bye to get me 253 rushing yards was still an excellent waiver wire pickup that very well could have won me that week.

not better than Cam.
listen here rocko, I made this td saying Cam was a good pick up, which in MOST if not close to all leagues' he was. You argue Cam is an OBVIOUS pick in the first argument, then you totally diss Dalton.. And if you're talking about last couple weeks, Dalton's 3 td's and close to 300 yards fit my fancy the other week..
I wasn't saying Dalton was better, but saying there was an ARGUMENT. You could've rocked Dalton with some studs at rb and wr..
or you could've JUST PICKED SOMEONE..
Lets see here, I'll come up with a better pick than Cam, that was on the waiver wire, takes a little research, maybe something you should of thought of, I"m not giving td wins up like candy bars.
Aint no willy wonka.... krusty's fun factory..
how about Blaine Gabbert? lmao
