Because you think you're "all that" and that I'm an "idiot" and would "lose again if I rechallenged anybody", here you go you ****ing dolt.
That was perhaps one of the cheapest blocks I have ever seen in my life. Travis Johnson is rounding the corner trying to cut off Ginn, and Green comes from OUTSIDE Johnson's field of vision and goes right for his KNEES, not his thighs. That's asking for an injury to happen.
It could have just as easily been Johnson being carted off the field with a SEVERE knee injury (torn MCL/PCL/ACL/w.e) or even a shattered knee cap (his knee went right into Green's helmet), which probably would have ended Johnson's career.
That consussion was completely Green's fault, he gets no sympathy from me. He shouldn't be such a wuss. Last year I remember Brees laying a devastating block on a lineman on a Colston end-around, and I mean it was a block.
That was a completely cheap play, and as I said, Johnson is lucky to be walking today.

johnson has no right to taunt a person who is motionless, that is not manly to go after someone who cant defend themselves. that is just sick to watch him yell at green while he lay unconscious and johnson not knowing if green is paralyzed or hell even dead (he wasnt moving). I dont understand what you expect from a 217lb qb going head to head with a 300+lb lineman its just physics if green would have went head to head he would have been ran over and probably hurt more than he is now. The fact is johnson didn???t tear anything and it was bush league to go after green while he lay there motionless, he had no right. It is a disgrace to his team, family, and friends.
Bio1590 said 10/08, 06:20 PM
I'm NOT arguing that it was right that he screamed at Green.
I'm saying that he was right for calling out Green on a low shot that could've ended Johnson's career.
And head to head he'd be hurt worse? HOW!? Johnson had no way of seeing him coming, Green could've leveled him if he got under Johnson's shoulder pads. It doesn't matter how big you are, it's all leverage.
Thank you for not even arguing what I'm trying to say.
LO603 said 10/09, 11:57 AM
by he called him out by screaming at him, yes it was greens fault he got concussed but there was no need for Johnson to act the way they he did. And you fail to grasp the concept that Johnson outweighs him by 100lbs, he???s old and slow he would be able to hit Johnson hard enough to do anything even if Johnson didn???t see him coming. In all my years watching football I have never seen a qb engage a d-lineman chest to chest they always go low.
and to add to this I don???t feel green went for the knee. Watch the replay green tries to go at the thighs then he turns his head and starts to fall lower, thus there was no way he could have known where Johnson???s knee was so the block on the knee was not on purpose. And he hasn???t been fined by the NFL and he wasn???t penalized it was a legal hit and its part of the game. You play this game with the inherent risk of catching a low block live with it, it???s a dangerous sport and stuff happens. Yes Johnson might have gotten hurt but he didn???t green did and to taunt a hurt player is absolutely uncalled for. He disgraced himself and the entire NFL
Bio1590 said 10/09, 08:59 PM
LOL no, he went for the knees. He basically sat down and held his body at knee level, watch the replay AGAIN. Green is supporting himself at that height using his arms.
Everyone agrees with me. And by everyone I mean the guys on PTI, Michael Landberg of OTR, hell, even TIKI BARBER AND CHRIS COLLINSWORTH agree with me.
This is what YOU don't understand. If the roles were reversed, and Johnson had been Green and Green had been Johnson, then Johnson would've been fined, penalized, and suspended. It's completely retarded when the guy who YOU can't do it to is doing it to YOU.
Green is an idiot. He could've ended two careers, (and possibly broken Johnson's neck, leaving him paralyzed; I realized earlier he went neck first into the ground).
And once again, I'm not arguing that he was right in the WAY he called him out, just that he WAS right. That was your rebuttle and you still fail to see that? I don't care that he screamed and taunted Green's unconcious body. I don't care that he embarassed himself. That is not the subject of this throwdown.
The subject of this throwdown was that Johnson was RIGHT to call Green out on a cheap and dirty block.
LO603 said 10/10, 12:09 AM
yes he could have been hurt, bad. but he wasnt he was fine and to get up and to taunt a player as he lays there MOTIONLESS is inexcusable. this throw down is not whos at fault this throw down is whether or not johnson was right for doing what he did. he was not right, not at all, and according to all those GUYS you mentioned how many of them said johnsons actions were acceptable (which this throwdown is all about).
You even said that youre not argueing that Johnson was right for what he did???THAT IS WHAT THE TITLE OF YOUR THROWDOWN SAYS YOURE DEFENDING. He was not right for calling green out. When palmer got his knee rolled by a defender did he go on at his press conference and call him out and sat there and said he was a piece of ****? No he didn???t.
Johnson acted classless. This is not a throwdown where trent green was right I don???t understand your arguments because none of them defend the point you make. Johnson broke the MAN rule to not taut a guy why hes down that what little**** do. How can you look in the mirror and call yourself a man when you just tried to make an UNCONCIOUS player look bad, and when he knew he was out cold he still kept going. CLASSLESS!!!

Report Offensive CommentI'd eat you alive with this.
THE GUY didn't go for the knees, he went for the cut block, he didn't mean for his head to come full force with some "MONSTER's" knee who is running at full force.
It is not illegal, therefore NOT CHEAP NOR DIRTY, they have YET to ban this hit, because it is the only way certain players can block others.
I completely agree that the concussion is Green's fault, but the classless act of yelling overtop a motionless man TRYING TO EAT is the worse thing you can do.
You NEVER TAUNT A MAN that is down and not moving. That is ridiculous, and he deserves to be fined for that. He looked like he was in HS. He is a pro, making BIG BUCKS to do his job, TAKE **** LIKE A MAN!
Ex. most QB's, and K/P.

Report Offensive CommentThat "block" was BS. You don't put your hat under a guy's knee like that without realizing that you could put him on the shelf for good. Whether he thought he was going for his thigh or what ever spin some people put on this. THE HELMET HIT KNEE FIRST. You're gonna take away a man's livelihood for a 4-yard gain? Easy for him I guess. He has already made his millions while warming the bench for Kurt Warner.

You, clearly, never played football. If he were going for a cut block he would have taken a different angle. If his football IQ is so low that he chose a chop block angle when going for a cut block, he deserves to be called out for it. Don't even attempt a cut block if you can't do it safely.
Don't speak if you don't know what you're talking about.
Thanks.
