They get the tough part of there schedule done early, and they beatin the Bulls and beat the Heat last night. They ballin pretty good right now.
This is also a shorter season then normal, and there a young team with one of the best benches in the nba. They get the 9 games in 12 days out the way early. Theyl still be fresh come playoff time. And they proved they can beat the best teams in the east.

Let me be the first to welcome you to the NATION.
No freaking waaaaaaaay!!!!
Relax. Teams get off to a fast start all the team. Doesn't necessarily mean they are going to the Conference Finals.
They got weaker when Jamal Crawford went to the Portland Trail Blazers. They lost 1 of the best 6th men in the NBA.
Miami and Chicago are the 2 best teams in the NBA right now.
New York has a more talented 1-2 punch in Melo and Amare. They also acquired Tyson Chandler who has shown he can do more than just rebound and defend. He had a game where he scored 22 points when Amare missed a game recently. Chandler is capable of stepping up and scoring when he is needed to.
"And they proved they can beat the best teams in the east."
Sure, they can win a game against a top NBA team. The difference? In the playoffs you have to win more than just 1. Teams make adjustments in the postseason and when you see the same team 6-7 times it is easier to game plan against them.

Hawks done beat Miami pretty easy just two night ago in Miami. As of now the Hawks are better than the Heat.
We lost to the Bulls, but we gave them a hell of a game, played great defense and had a chance to win.
The Celtics and the Knicks suck. Seriously, both have losing records, and the celtics are old, and the knicks are busy getting blown out by teams like the Warriors.
I didn't say the Hawks would win the Eastern Conference, I said they would get there, and as of now, the only team in the East better than the Hawks is the Bulls.
You argument for the Knicks is dumb. They have two players, good thing it's not a 2 on 2 league.
Hawks have a solid starting 5 with a very solid bench.
Bulls>Hawks>Heat>Celtics>Knicks

What happened to the win over the Bulls? Tell me that one again, can you? Sounds like you were assuming something there.
............
The Bulls ended up winning by 2 points.
"The Celtics and the Knicks suck. Seriously, both have losing records, and the celtics are old, and the knicks are busy getting blown out by teams like the Warriors."
6 games into the season. Can't look stuff up, computer is freezing up, but it's early. The Bucks got off to a hot start last year. Think it was 7-3, or 8-3, but how did that turn out for them? Not too great, they missed the playoffs.
Good thing they don't crown a team after 6 games, huh?
My argument for the Knicks is dumb? I never said they would get to the East Finals, but before all is said and done, I expect them to be a better overall team than the Hawks.
Baron Davis will give them a solid PG once he gets on the court. Douglas and Shumpert will give NY a pretty solid backcourt off the bench with the 2nd team.
The Hawks are better than the Heat? 2nd best?
Nope. Get help, please.

They beat the Bulls the other night in the ATL. Hawks are the only team to beat both the Bulls and the Heat, and are the only team to have beaten the Heat.

"They beat the Bulls the other night in the ATL. Hawks are the only team to beat both the Bulls and the Heat, and are the only team to have beaten the Heat."
And the Hawks are just 1 of 2 teams to lose to Houston. They lost by 11 to the Rockets.
Does this mean the Hawks will miss the playoffs? No. So what if Atlanta beat Miami and Chicago? Atlanta could go 50-16 (or some other flashy record) and that still wouldn't mean they would make the East Finals.
Why, you may ask? Because it's easy to upset some geat team like Chicago or Miami in a regular season record. But, it's a little different in the postseason when you would play the same team 5-6 times consecutively. Coaches make game to game adjustments in the postseason. And that is important when yopu face the same team over and over in a series. Good coaches will make the necessary adjustments needed to win a series.
The Hawks are no better than a 2nd round team.
I brought the boobies. Go find your ice cream and cake to go with it.

They may be "beatin the Bulls" through 3 quarters............good thing games are 4 quarters.
Maybe they should learn how to make a free throw. They have a good bench, but the Bulls still have a better one. They look brilliant for brief periods, but they always revert to sloppy offense at some point. They MIGHT be able to be the 3rd best team in the East, but they certainly aren't beating the Bulls in a series and I doubt they beat the Heat.

I'm actually going to side with the rookie here. Miami is CLEARLY better than every other team in the East but who is 2nd? Not the Bulls, they still don't have a dependable BIG or another perimeter player that can create for himself & score 30 or 40 if necessary.
The Knicks DAMN SURE isn't the 2nd best and the Pacers are still shaky.
To me, it's between the Hawks & the [when healthy] Celtics. Those two teams would beat the Bulls in a 7 game series & both teams would give the Heat a 6 or 7 game series. Head to head, i actually think the Hawks would beat Boston.
(Because of the seedings, i doubt the Hawks would get to the ECFs. They'd run into the Heat either in the 2nd round because my guess is they'd be in that 4-5 bracket but still would be the 2nd best team in the East come playoff time due to their playoff togetherness & team chemistry)

As much as i appreciate how high your putting my celtics the hawks at their highest level are 5th in the eastern conference. the bulls don't need a Wing to score 30 or 40 what they lacked last season was A SG that could provide good offense and help deng on the wings... they got that this season with Rip hamilton and they have a good rotation on the wings in rip, Ronnie brewer, Korver, and deng. resting deng and keeping him fresh. anyway this is how i see the Eastern conference.
Eastern conference top 8 teams
1. Heat
2. Bulls
3. Knicks
4. Celtics
5. Hawks
6. Magic
7. Pacers
8. Sixers
