Can Aaron Rodgers top last years' playoff performance?

I don't know, but I do know, the Giants have been a lil too cocky..

Well I guess I will start my first TD here, I am going to homer the **** out of this TD and go with my NYG, this is why.

All right so there is no question in anyones mind right now that the Giants cannot do it.

-They are known for upsetting better teams in the playoffs
-They are pretty much the favorites in the media
-They already proved in the Regular season that they can hang with the Packers

Now lets look at individual players, I think that right now, Manning is doing just as good as Rodgers has done as late, look at the last 5 games

Rodgers: 1475 Yards 61% Comp 14 TD's 2 INT's 4-1 Record
Manning: 1505 Yards 59% Comp 9 TD's 5 INT's 4-1 Record

Look at that, that is almost identical numbers except for the TD's and INT's but Manning was playing all top 15 defenses and 1 top 5 defense in the league. While Rodgers played 0, yes zero top 15 defenses in total yards.

We all know that both teams have horrible defenses with a edge going to the Giants and since Rodgers has the edge, this nearly evens them out. Rodgers and Manning are a push, will get to the rest next.

Going with NY, huh?

Well, I'm sorry, but Aaron Rodgers will make Corey Webster look like burnt toast. Lets not forget this game's in Lambaugh, and unlike the Falcons, the Packers can move the ball. Aaron Rodgers will get sacked, that's for sure, but most of the game he'll be exposing it over the middle.

I see this being a shootout for 3 qtrs..

I got Pack... 35-27

Well, that was a good game, but GMEN ARE VICTORIOUS

If you step any further out on that limb you're going to be in a different tree.

Niners look good, i'd like to see them in the bowl, that's if Aaron Rodgers doesn't expose them.

Saints are allergic to the NFC West

January 15, 2012  01:26 AM ET

The Giants are the favorites in the media? They have been the sexy pick by some but I find it funny that every show I have seen they all say how possible it is but they all end up picking the Packers.

Vegas has the Pack 7.5 pt favorites. They are begging people to bet the Giants. The Packers will win and look good doing so.

Saints are allergic to playing on the road. Looks like everyone's darling wasn't as good as advertised. Maybe people will start to realize that if you are looking at stats in NFL than you aren't really watching football.

The Saints defense was worse than the Packers yet all you heard all week was how bad the Packers where. Yds is a horrible way to rank a defense. The Saints lead the NFL in giving up plays over 40 and if you take out week 17 when the Packers rested starters gave up more points. Been telling people on here for weeks the Saints couldn't play on the road.

Truth in advertising, I like it.

In fact, since you bothered to put up an argument, I may just reward it.

IMO, Tom Brady is the farthest thing from a "system QB" that the NFL has. Because the Patriots have changed their offensive system significantly through the years.

They used to be more west coast offense based in the early 2000s, balanced with a running attack, with Tom Brady mainly taking snaps under center - you could even argue that they ran a smashmouth system in 2004 with Corey Dillon. They switched over to a shotgun heavy spread offense around 2007, with a lot 4WR sets and little running game, taking a lot of deep shots downfield. Then converted over to the double tight end sets they're running today with more dink-and-dunk passing last year to stretching the field more this year.

Every season the Patriots offense evolves. They're not running stale plays or relying on the same offensive philosophy year after year. A lot of teams do (my Eagles do) but New England does not.

Basically anyone who discounts Tom Brady as a "system QB" simply doesn't understand the difference between a team and a system - because they are very much not the same thing.

Or I guess...

The next time you hear someone call Tom Brady a system QB. Simply ask them what system the Patriots run?

The West Coast Offense from the shot gun.
