To borrow Stephen A. Smith It would be Asanie, Asaten, and Asaeleven for any voter to not put him in. He is the greatest baseball player of all-time hands down. Its no question.

7 MVPs, Record for Home Runs in a season, Record for all-time Home Runs, Record for all-time Walks, Record for Slugging Percentage in a season, Only member of the 500-500 Club for Home Runs and Stolen Bases. He's 4th all-time For RBIs, 4th all-time Total bases, 3rd all-time runs scored, 6th all-time OBP, 6th all-time Slugging Percentage.

When It comes to power, speed, and defensive ability, Barry Bonds was simply better than everyone else, and Unlike every "great" player from before 1945, Barry Bonds had to go against the Greatest Competition in the world, not just the greatest American white players at the time.

The only reason not to put him in is speculation and accusations. No matter how heavy the Burden of Proof may be on Barry, there is one fact you can't defend.

MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL NEVER PUNISHED BARRY BONDS FOR ANY SUBSTANCE ABUSE!

Punishing him, for something during his career he wasn't punished for is insane.

Barry is the GOAT. Put him the the hall or don't have a Hall.

Barry was hands down my favorite player of all time (before the steroids).

Even before the roids, he was a lock for the HOF.

But he won't be a 1st ballot HOF guy for 2 reasons:

1) He was a complete and utter dicktard. Writers, players, coaches, etc... hate him.

Sometimes you can't get votes because people are spiteful, vengeful, etc...

People would keep them off their ballot for a vote or 2 just for a personal slight.

2) Roids

No way will he get enough votes right away. That would reward him for his stupidity and ignorance.

Speculation and accusations my behind.

Roberto Alomar wasn't a lock for the HOF because he spat on a guy.

Do you know how many HOF players got in on the 1st ballot with 100% of the vote?

Go take a look. It might surprise you.

If there are voters who say "no" to some of the guys in the hall, there will be plenty to keep Barry out for a while

Ty Cobb beat up a mentally handicapp person and was a open unapologetic racist. What does attitude have anything to do with creditials?

What is a Hall of Fame? It is a room, building, etc., set aside to honor outstanding individuals in any profession, locality, nation, or the like.

Again Accusations, Speculations, Court Cases, Grand Jury Testiotimony, Ex-Wife Playboy Interviews, or any other white smoke aside lets look at 3 facts

1) Barry Bonds has some of the greatest statitical achievements off all-time

2) Barry Bonds was never EVER not once, Suspended or Fined by Major League Baseball for Taking Performing Enhancing Drugs.

3) Barry Bonds competed in an Era, where according to the mitchell report at least 89 players ( Around 11%), had similar Speculation Barry had, AND 5 to 7 % of league fail a test for Performing Enhancing drugs in 2003. If anything to put up the numbers he did in this Era was even more impressive considering he was PLAYING AGIANST JUICED PLAYERS.

Nobody said anything about 100% voting.

IF Barry Bonds doesn't get put in the HOF, Then whats the point of having a Baseball Hall of Fame?

A 7 time MVP, 2nd Most all-time of ALL Sports. MTC

I think he will make it eventually (his numbers before the roids were good enough). But definitely not First Ballot.

You can point to all the awards and accolades you want. He's a feminine cleaning product and a cheater. That will cost him votes.

It's the Hall of Fame, not the Hall of Infamy

"It's the Hall of Fame, Not the Hall of Infamy"

Well lets just kick out OJ Simpson and JoePa out of their Hall of Fames?

So I have a question? How do we determine who goes into the Hall of Fame? Its easy to say, "This guy used steriods, He shouldn't be in", but Baseball is a lot deeper than that right?

We assume Curt Schilling Didn't use steriods, but would his record be the same if it wasn't for people on his team that used steriods? Would he have been in the position to be a 2-time WS champion if it were not for Steriod Users?

What about people who played with Sterioud Users but didn't report anything? Are they not enables of steriod users? Did Mariano Riveria not benifit from teammates who used? Didn't JoePa just get fired for looking like he was an enabler of a criminal?

Why not vote for those who were directly linked to steriods in, but Not those who benifits from those Steriod Users?

We can't do that. Cherry picking hall of famers based off attitude and steriods, when they weren't punished for it while they played is stupid.

Barry Bonds is the GOAT. Again, If Barry Bonds doesn't make it Hall of Fame, Close it down.

Barry Bonds is MLB history, and belon

OJ didn't cheat or do drugs while playing. Joe PA's situation is cloudy at best, but his actions didn't affect the credibility of the game.

What he did may or may not have been criminal, but it had no effect on his coaching or the outcome of games.

You cannot compare PED's to post-career murder and whatever you want to call Joe PA's involvement with Sandusky.

The comparsion of Mariano to Joe PA doesn't even make any sense at all. I can't argue that, because it's just absurd.

The comparison of Schilling doesn't make any sense either. You're saying he was a good pitcher because some of his teammates cheated? Last time I looked, there weren't many people saying Schilling was a lock for the Hall anyway. He's never been a 1st ballot guy and never will be.

Will Roger Clemens be inducted this year? I highly doubt it. Bonds has even less of a chance. Mark McGwire isn't in yet and neither is Rafael Palmeiro. McGuire didn't commit perjury under oath. He just clammed up. But, the remaining three did commit perjury under oath and the
yellow brick road to the HOF can't be found on a GPS.

Voting Right>

January 30, 2012  09:07 AM ET

@The book of Tebow, are you going for the all-time record in TD futility?

January 30, 2012  09:22 AM ET

Not a chance in hell.

January 30, 2012  09:29 AM ET

It will be awesome to see his name come up year after year with no admittance

QUOTE(#9):

Agreed.

January 30, 2012  11:03 AM ET

He could easily be a Hall of Famer in the prison league along with Burt Reynolds

January 30, 2012  11:09 AM ET

it truly is a shame. the guy has more bold print than Websters but will not make it in until after he's dead.

January 30, 2012  11:25 AM ET

Right could have just said

Steriods

As his argument and he wouldve gotten my vote for sure

January 30, 2012  11:37 AM ET

Just some friendly advice to left for the future,

You should probably re-think any quotes from Stephen A. Smith when putting together a TD.

January 30, 2012  11:42 AM ET

He won't even get in.

QUOTE(#7):

certainly seems to be working on it

Easy loss attempt left.

QUOTE(#17):

Agreed. so voting left. lmao!

January 30, 2012  01:28 PM ET

He should be able to get in but Bud Selig is purposefully obstructing Bonds' and other players entrance into the HoF by not making a ruling on how steroid tests should be viewed with voting. I would suggest a penalty on votes. Like if a player gets 70% of the vote he gets 10% deduction which means he would need to have enough votes to still get in after the penalty.

January 30, 2012  01:37 PM ET

No penalty should be given, because he hasn't admitted to "knowingly" using PEDs. Without Anderson telling us exactly what he knows, all the public really has is a book and some evidence. I absolutely think he took PEDs when he was a Giant, and I also think he'll get in to the hall, probably not the first ballot.
