This topic was brought up in a separate throwdown and I liked the topic so KMac and I decided we were going to do it. So here goes.

My first choice is... WWJ. Thought about WWJ and YODA, and either one would've been the correct choice. But I'm going with WWJ because his area of expertise is more closely aligned to my own. I've never seen YODA do a MLB TD but I know WWJ can and will. Again, no disrespect to YODA; I'm just not familiar with MMA or NHL and those seem to be a little more up YODA's alley than MLB.

So, moving along... WWJ is one of the VERY few people on this site that I would basically expect to beat me in a MLB TD. I feel like personally I follow the sport closely enough to hold my own against anybody on FN, but WWJ has proven time and time again that he not only has enough debate/linguistic skill to beat me in a TD, but he can basically beat anybody foolish enough to challenge him.

And it's not just MLB. For example, I did a TD recently for the FFTI II tourney about which city should've been selected as the host for the 2014 Olympics. I put a LOT of effort into my arguments and I even had a strategy. WWJ won. Fair and square.

He's a machine.

For the sake of this TD we'll just go with the top 5.

1. YODA

I too pondered between WWJ and Yoda, but I'm sorry.... The top spot still belongs to the little green man. I came to this decision upon head 2 head matchup (1-0) and upon subject weakness. It appears that Yoda's only "weakness" is baseball. I wouldn't really call it a weakness though.

2. WWJ

WWJ gets the number 2 spot due to h2h matchup with Yoda, but it was very close.

3. GRUE

While a signature win over WWJ puts him near the #2 spot, his loss to a knucklehead named KMac drops him to #3.

4. MarlinsFan

One of the most entertaining posters on this site, he also puts heart and soul into every argument. He still can't beat WWJ or this KMac kid, but he's good enough to take #4.

5. UH

Possibly the biggest homer on this site outside of HEAT OWN, but he ALWAYS puts forth a good argument, and NEVER backs down. His one glaring weakness is basketball, but his signature wins over Yoda and KMac vault him into the number 5 spot. He is also THE MOST SMARTEST person about NASCAR and country music.

Alright, I'm going to bite your style and make a list.

YODA: the guy is a master. Every TD I've ever seen him do seems extremely well thought out; very easy to read and YODA comes off like he's intimately familiar with the subject material, even when the subject is something obscure.

Grue: very smart. Any opponent is in for a tough challenge because Grue's probably just smarter than you are. Plus he has a knack for being entertaining. It's a very winning combination.

(Un)Official: Very logical and very good at presenting data in a way that proves his point. Another guy who is very tough to beat.

Tnerb: A true spin doctor. As I've said before, Tnerb did a TD one time where he almost convinced me that Tim Raines was superior to Pete Rose. Master of the loophole.

CubanMissing: very knowledgable; very sound reasoning. Oh, and he's excellent at using forms of poetry as an arguing style. Probably the most poetic of any FN user.

HOOTZ: just an extremely solid TDer. Very logical, and has a great vocabulary.

JimJ: unique style, uses condescension as a tool of intimidation. Creative Arnie TDs.

UH: solid arguments every time. Mr. Consistency.

Sorry for taking so long... I had two long flights the past two days so I'm a little fried.

You listed 9 so I guess I get to list my next 4?

6. (Un)Official

Underrated in my book. Sticks to facts and logic and usually comes out on top. Articulates (big word I know) very well for a zebra.

7. Tnerb

He would make it on this list just by weird avatars alone, but he's a machine. He's always a good read and like (Un), he's extremely knowledgeable.

8. Mondo Jay

He doesn't participate as much as our other TDers, but for a stoner he's pretty dang good. I don't know if the weed expands his vocabulary and makes him a better writer, or if he argues before he smokes. Either way, I don't care, he's still one of the best.

9. fvkasm2x

He's friggin' Batman. What else needs to be said?

10. DJroxalot

I know I'll get crucified for this, but you don't get that many wins by not being decent.

Honorable Mention:
KMac (formerly Kodizzle, Kodman, KoolKid, KmacDizzle, Kody, and iRokURsox)

Alright, final selections coming here.

Assassin: makes me laugh almost every time I read one of his TDs. Just a funny guy.

Stormy Rottman: upper echelon TDer, probably should've been mentioned sooner. Very good.

BigAlke: smart, smart man. Good TDer with an unlimited vocabulary.

Mondo Jay: don't let the stoner reputation fool you; Mondo is really good and will probably outargue you.

Schad: a jack of all trades. Knowledgable on many topics.

fvkasm: smart guy; veteran TDer who presents his arguments well.

Flambo Gus: very good TDer, even if he is crying in the comments about how offensive this TD is and how it's been going on for way too long. Just needs to lighten up.

KMac: good attitude all the time. Fun to TD with, and knows his sports.

Slinky: doesn't TD much, but in case you haven't heard, he's kind of a big deal around here.

jermur: VERY underrated TDer; needs to get on here more often. He's wasting his talents by not participating.

BBK: smart guy; excellent TDer. Nice to see him back.

UB Bulls: another really knowledable guy; new to TDs but really good.

Sorry to anyone I missed!

To Gus, my bad, I guess?

:/

Sigh... Vote left! He listed me. My life is complete.

Is it wrong that I referenced myself in the third person?
