eli is significantly behind the big 4..
For 6 days, I have heard numerous people on this site claim eli is in the same group as the big 4..
my bro, a gmen fan, also thinks it should be the big 5, and not big 4..
So I want to settle this debate once and for all..
People have a tendancy to over react after a big win..
lets not forget gmen lost 7 freakin games this season..
and alot of those loses you can point the finger at eli..
brady and brees only had 3 loses.. Rodgers a mere one..
the big 4 consistently get 12 wins a year..
where as eli flirts with 10 wins..
while I admit eli maybe the best at the 2 minute drill..
eli is too inconsistent to be in that elite group..
Lets calm down people..
Eli is just fortunate he is on a team with so many weapons..
put peyton in a blue and red uniform,
and he would get at least 2 wins more a year than eli..
It was a noice story..
but now people need to comeback to earth please..
Eli will never be near those guys..
he is one of those guys, right place, right time..
Put him in san diego, and we never have this conversation to begin with..

He IS in the same class as those players....
His CLUTCHNESS puts him in there..what did he have ?? Like 15 TD's in the 4th quarter this season ?? Thats the ALL-TIME highest TD's in the 4th quarter.
Add to that how many rings he has and 2 Super Bowl MVP's..

Eli manning wins;
2008 = 12
So we are essentially talking about one elite year.
Brady=11, 9, 14, 14, 10, 12, 16 BABY!!!!!, 2008 = INJURED, 10, 14, 13
6!! SPECIAL SEASONS!! (OF 12 WINS OR MORE).
Brees= 8, 4, 12, 9, 10, 7, 8, 13, 11, 13
3 special seasons + breaking marinos 27 year record is pretty cool!
Peyton = 3, 13, 10, 6, 10, 12, 12, 14, 12, 13, 12, 14, 10
8 awesome seasons.. we are not worthy! we are not worthy:)
Rodgers = 6, 11, 10, 15
15 wins is pretty special, and rodgers was the main reason why.
He only has one special season so far.. But something tells me, he will get at least 6 special seasons.
When you look at the big 4.. Eli pales in comparison.
Eli just is not an every sunday QB, Im sorry.
He is like the French or the Marlins, sometimes they show up, but quite often they dont.
While the record is essentially a team record, fine, no probs with that.
But alot of the Eli losses, you can point the finger at Eli.
Brady? He played great against Bills, Pitt and GMEN. and lost
Peyton? It takes something special to beat him.
Brees and Rodgers rarely beat themselves.

You say that its a team record but blame Eli for losing..but you are unwilling to give him credit when he and the team win ?? Seriously how many Super Bowls does he have to win before you consider him to be elite ??
Eli this season beat Brady TWICE...oh yeah he and the Giants also upset the PERFECT PATS in 08.
Eli this season beat Rodgers in his own barn.
Regular season wins are nice and all but players and teams are ranked on what they do in the play-offs.
The FACT is he is only the 5th QB EVER to go to mulple Super Bowls and be named MVP....TWICE.
Thats the very definition of elite.
Oh yeah he pretty much owns Tom Brady too...WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT FROM HIM ??

Lets diagnose Eli's 7 freakin loses this season, shall we..
week 1.. loss to their nemesis skins, ha ha
18/32, 268yards, 1int, 70.8QB rating..
have fun rationalizing that against a team that sucks
loss to seattle
a team that sucked
loss to philie
a team in a mid life crisis and a vinny young
loss to san fran
2ND LOSS TO SKINS HA HA...
THIS ONES A WHOPPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(GB and saints, aint his fault)..
5 out of 7 losses..
4 of them Eli was mediocre at best..
AND ONE LAST STINKER vs skins week 15..
Yeah, you are right.. Eli is an elite QB that is mediocre in 25% of his games..
And stinks up the joint for fun vs a sucky skins..
I never thought of it like that..
Brady = montana
brees = marino
Rodgers=Favre with legs
And Eli.. ah ah ah..
One 12 win season, GREAT!
If Eli wins a 3rd Super Bowl, FINE..
I will put him into the cool group..
But if you look at his body of work.. His performances in the regular season, kill your argument..

"If Eli wins a 3rd Super Bowl, FINE...i will put him into the cool group"---YOU...yeah right if and when he wins a 3rd Ring you'll TRY to find a way to discredit him...
Losses to crappy teams happen dude..just take a look..
Rodgers loses to the 7-9 Kansas City Chiefs
Brady loses to the 6-10 Bills
Brees loses to the 4-12 Buccaneers
You also always point out the regular season wins like its the only thing that defines elite.
What would a QB really want ?? Some 12-14 win seasons where they cant replicate that "eliteness" come play-off time ??
Or does a QB want to ELEVATE his game come play-off time ??
Cause thats exactly what Eli does...he brings it in the most crucial times..
15 TD's in the 4th quarter this season...ALL-TIME RECORD.
OWNS Tom Brady.
5th QB EVER to go to multiple Super Bowls and to be named MVP TWICE.
He's also batting .1000 when he gets to the Super Bowl.
Eli + ite = Elite
Eli's clutchness + winning pedigree = Elite
With the way the Giants are built they look to contend for the forseeable future to boot...1 more Super Bowl looks to be in this guys and the teams future...
Just admit it, you're a hater.
