I'm gonna go with the answer that has a 50% probability. Yes, the Boston Red Sox will make it to the World series. They are facing off with the biggest challenge of the entire postseason, but I think there are small differences in these teams that will allow Boston to take the series in six.

1. Jonathon Papelbon vs. Joe Borowski- The battle of the closers. I imagine these games are going to be close, and when it comes down to the 8th or 9th innings, which pitcher would you want on the mound? Borowski, who has a 5.07 era and 1.43 whip, or Papelbon, who has a 1,85 era and .77 whip?

2. The Starting Pitching- While Paul Byrd pitched a good game against the Yankees, he gave up 8 hits and 2 walks in 5 innings. The Indians have a lgihts out duo of SP's, but the Red Sox depth at this position is overpowering. Beckett, Schilling, Wakefield, and Matsuzaka will prove to much to match for the starters after Carmona and Sabathia.

3. Manny and David- The two Red Sox sluggers are a combined 8 for 15 with 4 home runs, 7 rbi's, and 11 walks so far in the postseason. With their production and high obp Boston's hitters will rally around them and win it in 6.

Well Boston already has the 1-0 lead, but let's try to look past that.

In response to your argument:

1. Closers - The way the Indians have been pitching (Carmona, Sabathia), Borowski won't necessarily be needed. Rafael Perez and Rafael Betancourt have been lights out, so Borowski might not even see some action.

2. As for that depth for the Red Sox, Wakefield was left off of the postseason roster do to back problems, while Dice-K has been not-Dice-K down the stretch.

3. The Sox have Ortiz and Manny, but the Indians have Peralta, Lofton, and Garko who are all batting above .385. Going along with them are the threats at the top of the lineup in Hafner, Sizemore, and Martinez.

Sure, it seems unrealistic, but the Indians can beat the Sox.
