John rocker racsist or borderline?

rocker says he hates takin the 7 train...
cause its filled with AIDS victims, 16er pregnant girls and criminals..

isnt that what 7 train is filled with..
ive been to ny, and its filled with weirdos..
i saw a guy dressed head to toe in leather..
a woman screaming in yellow plastic pants..
a 6"5 guy, no shirt, roller skate dancing..
some freak preaching from the bible.. He qas screaming..
4 big black dudes, all dressed up, saying whites are racsist..
Ny is a weird place..
why is it so surprising a country hot headed boy,
would have a violent reaction?

I searched all over for a definition of "borderline racist" and can't seem to find one anywhere. Is that anything like "a little bit pregnant"?
Neither one of us can look into John Rockers heart to determine whether he holds hatred for anyone based solely on their race so all we have are his words and actions.
We know John referred to a black teammate as "a fat monkey". Some/many would take that to be a racist comment, but I'll give John the benefit of the doubt...Could just be a term of endearment for all I know.
This was not:
"The biggest thing I don't like about New York are the foreigners. I'm not a very big fan of foreigners. You can walk an entire block in Times Square and not hear anybody speaking English. Asians and Koreans and Vietnamese and Indians and Russians and Spanish people and everything up there. How the hell did they get into this country?"
By my count, Rocker singled out people of SIX different ethnic backgrounds for attack here with only their race or nationality as an identifier. Any way you try to spin this comment, it is inherently racist.
Conclusion: John Rockers own words are those of a racist.

Not liking foreigners makes rocker xenophobic..
Look, immigration is a touchy subject..
if it was up to me, I would let in all the mexicans..
except the crazy druglords that behead people..
mexicans are great people and hardworkers..
But the arabs..
i would be strict with..
if they want to live in this country..
fine..
but CIA SHOULD INVESTIGATE THEM HARDCORE..
we let our guard down once..

rocker essentially had similar beliefs..
maybe my beliefs are at the plate,
and johns are at the warning track..
but its the same ball park..
WHY?
why is it so hard to understand that rocker was a country hot head,
who simply hated new yorkers?

Well, if nothing else, you learned a new word today, so the TD wasn't a complete waste. :)
The problem with claiming Rocker is "xenophopic" and not "racist" is that the two are not mutually exclusive.
Xenophobia is to dislike or fear something that is different from you, particularly foreigners in general. Many of Rockers comments certainly qualify.
Racism is the belief that race determines the traits of a humans making them superior or inferior to another race. Many of his comments qualify here, as well. Some are both.
During that famous interview, while riding in a car Rocker had this to say about another driver:
"Look! Look at this idiot! I guarantee you she's a Japanese woman." A Toyota is jerking from lane to lane. "How bad are Asian women at driving?". The woman driving the car was white. Rockers disparaging comment infers the driver must be an Asian woman because in his mind they don't drive well. An inherently racist (and sexist) assumption. He didn't say "foreigners can't drive", he isolated his comment by race and sex.
John Rockers comments are those of a racist, sexist, xenophobic, homophobe.

i personally believe, in our politically correct society,
we look for a scapegoat, someone to point the finger at..
rocker was it..
bear in mind new york mets fans, before the interview,
threw batteries at rocker,
and said obscenities at him, like:
"i did your **** of a mother last night!"
etc etc
To expect everyone to react in a proffessional, calm manner, is impossible...
Although I dont believe in an afterlife..
i have been told god fogives everyone..
Rockers comments were borderline racsist,

Racism:
1. a belief or doctrine that inherent genetic differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others.
2. a policy, system of government, etc., based upon or fostering such a doctrine; discrimination.
3. hatred or intolerance of another race or other races.
There is no room for "borderline".
It's strictly black and white. You are either racist or you aren't. You can't be a little bit racist anymore than you can be a little bit pregnant.
This wishy washy "borderline" crap doesn't fly. What you are saying is you don't know if Rocker is a racist or not but you are leaning in that direction.
I have no way of knowing what is in the mans heart, either. What I do know is his words. And his words are absolutely racist.
So...based on all available evidence, the only conclusion someone who does not know John Rocker personally can reasonably come to is that the man is a racist. One conclusion you absolutely can NOT come to is that he's "borderline racist" as such a thing can not exist by definition.

nobody celebrates weirdness quite like the quarter in New Orleans. used to have a lady named Ruthie the Duck girl that wandered around the quarter with ducks following her around. when she passed away, literally thousands showed up at her jazz funeral thru the quarter. we also have Miss Ashley the traffic tranny that is out every night on Bourbon Street with her whip & whistle to help cross street traffic get thru the crowds. Everyone knows her

exactly, it's fun watching people's reactions to some of the weirdness, my wife grew up here so the quarter isn't a big deal for her, but even she loves going in the fall and if Halloween is on a weekend, now that's classic

we had either a Monday or Thursday game a few years ago that fell on Halloween, they counted over 50K at the dome that was in costume, supposedly shattered the Guiness world record
