1. At 16, for a 21 mile race.
I was a second seed..
I lost to the man 13 times in a row.. In practice..
but on game day, I pulled my wild card, a trick I had never shown before..
at mile 13, I started sprinting..
i was so tired of him pulling away in the last mile..
my gamble worked..
he sprinted with me..
but after a mile, he knew I was stronger..
i beat my nemesis by 13 minutes, due to his broken heart..
2hrs16mins.. 6.30mins a mile..
not bad for a 16er:)

2. Rugby.. Dormitory..
they had 2 guys 6"4 230lbs..
we were small, but fast..
(im 5"10)..
total mismatch..
they beat the top seed 55_10..
we had 3 days to think about physically getting beat up..
with 5 mins to go, we were down 39_29..
they had scored 20 unaswered points..
it was hopeless..
but their 2 big guys got tired..
we scored 3 TDs and won 46_39..
we took home the trophy:)
and I was voted co_MVP...
but boy did they give us a physical beating..
had it not been for leaders that psyched the team into a frenzy..
we would have lost for sure..

I h8te to sound cocky...

anywho..

my sports', claim to fame ..

My basketball team won the COUNTY.. We went 8-3, and I averaged 18 points a game. My high for one game was 32, only topped by a player at the end of the season w/ 36 points, in one game.

I was all of 14, month away from 15 years old.

The opposing team we beat to win the county, their star player, is now the middle school head coach in are area. He's all of 29 years old, suxs to beat coach.. haha

noice

I dont want to brag anymore..

lets let voters decide!

it was hard for me to do this, but you did make the td.

I'm not Michael Jordan or anything, I just love to play some ball.

Respect..

QUOTE(#4):

2x state football champions. Would have been 3 if it wasn't for ethnicity. Our all white school except the token class black kids, none of which played sports, had to play a team that was featured in a SI article about HS football and had something like 13 D1 starters on their team. Still lost by under a TD against some very questionable calls.

whoah whoah whoah. The black kids didn't play sports? What... were they Carlton Banks?

My teams never accomplished much. Most notable event of my baseball life was a big post game brawl with a Jasper team. We kicked their ass.

QUOTE(#12):

Despite the fifty seven billion TDs between these two, I don't recall having seen a HCF-PCH battle before now.

Me neither. This could be interesting though.

I won a gold medal in the 1988 Olympics 200 meter and 400 meter at the age of 11.At the age of 15 my UNC team won the D1 basketball national championship. When I was 24 I made a timely block on the game winning FG to win the SB with the Patriots over the Rams.I then went on to hit 88 Homeruns in 60 games in MLB and retired due to boredom.I won worlds strongest man competition 12 times now.I'm currently nominated for athlete of the millennium. I doubt anyone else gets a vote.

HA-HA-HA, that's classic JIM!

My oldest son hit a grand slam home run at his game yesterday. 3rd one since he started playing.

He also hit a 2 run homer in the 6th. Our team won 22-2. A little lop-sided but a GS is always awesome!

8-3? Is this CYO your talking about? I played HS and we played 20-25 games.

yeah, it was recreation, but a lot of players from both highschools played, that did play on the team.

I was told i wouldn't play a lot of minutes on the freshman team, so i never went back to the school team, just went hambone on the rec. league.

Def. one of my funnest experiences in sports, no matter the scale of competition.
