derrick rose getting injured was bad.. REALLY bad..
now it goes from spurs, thunder and heat, plus bulls as title contenders..
to 3 teams..

there will be no chance of linsanity..
heat will smother NY..

celts will die against no names atlanta..

the lakers are just making up the numbers..

where have all the good teams gone?

last year was freakin awesome..
we had the wild west, an 8 seed beating a 1..
miamis dynasty begining, by destroying the celts dynasty..
lakers were relevant..

heck I even preferred the days 10years back,
where you had lakers, spurs, nash mavs and portland..
all competing to kill a weak eastern conference team..

now?
rose"s injury sucked the air out of the east..
stern ruined the lakers..
we have a defending champ, who will go down meekly..

someone invent a timemachine,
and spare us from this MICKEY MOUSE NONSENSE!

at least the soccer is good:)

This is going to be a great postseason for basketball fans. Even with Derrick Rose missing the rest of the playoffs.

"where have all the good teams gone?"

They haven't gone anywhere. The San Antonio Spurs are an excellent team. As are the Los Angeles Lakers. The Oklahoma City Thunder have a good trio, but lack the experience to get to the NBA Finals.

"miamis dynasty begining, by destroying the celts dynasty.."

Miami has a dynasty? Since when? I guess the rest of the NBA didn't get that memo.

"we have a defending champ, who will go down meekly.."

Meekly? Did you even WATCH THE FREAKING GAME?

Kevin Durant won game one at the buzzer. The Mavs were giving OKC all they could handle for the duration of that game. The Mavs showed they aren't going to just lay down and let the Thunder walk all over them. They are the defending champions and will not go quietly into the night!!!

The playoffs are here for the diehard NBA fans.

rose getting blown out of the playoffs in game 1 was a REAL kick in the groin and you know it!
you cant sugar coat that, as much as you tried..
do you REALLY think anyone can touch the heat in the east..
you went awfully quiet about the east..
tell me sir, about the matters of the east..

look, I wont lie..
apart from 11 days of linsanity, the regular season was pretty freakin boring, (as it usually is, except when vince carter broke out, that was pretty cool)..
im not a hater..
but rose going down, robbed us of a classic eastern final..

as a sports fan, if you are not somewhat disappointed/heartbroken,
then you are just being delusional..

I like the word dynasty, ha ha..
im probably the only guy on this site, who considers cleveland indians, 95_01, a dynasty, even though they never won anything.. but that batting line up was freakin nasty..
the heat.. beautiful things heading their way..
you can not debate that..
this THIS year, the eastern conference will roll over to the heat,
faster than a fat chick can run to the cheesecake factory!

I have 3 arguments. But, the West is wide open. That's why I led off with talking about the West.

"rose getting blown out of the playoffs in game 1 was a REAL kick in the groin and you know it!"

You know what? It's a tough loss to lose him, but let me share something with you.

Rose missed 27 games in the regular season. The Bulls went 18-9 without him.

Now, I am not going to say they are better without him. That would be insane, but they are used to playing without him. And sometimes teams play better without the guy who takes a lot of shots in their offense. Other players have to step up and the Bulls can win without Rose.

That's going to be an intriguing storyline of these NBA playoffs. 1 of many.

Another storline is the Orlando Magic. They are without Dwight Howard who is easily their best player. But, the Magic stepped up in the first game of the postseason and upset the Pacers in Indiana, 81-77. Glen Davis stepped in for Howard and scored 16 points and grabbed 13 rebounds with 3 blocked shots.

You need to bring it more than you have already, my friend.

18_9..

you lost your:
belief in an afterlife
virginity
the day you became finamcial independant from your parents..

18_9
is meaningless..

tell that to the heat..

you are not telling me that,
heat fans,
did not cheer louder than the arabs when 9.1.1 occured?

why WHY?
while arabs knew they won the battle..
cause heat fans knew they won the war

You're truly an idiot. Every TD you argue has Arab's and 9-11 in it.

You certainly can debate if "beautiful things" are headed Miami's way. That is why people TD.

"this THIS year, the eastern conference will roll over to the heat,
faster than a fat chick can run to the cheesecake factory!"

The West is more wide open than the West, but Boston certainly can compete with Miami and give them a run for their money.

Not to mention, LeBron James shies away from taking the big shots when it matters. He prefers to pass and ride D-Wade's coattails. He can't make it happen in the big moment.

Where's the girlfriend reference in this TD?

Well, Frog, looks like you were deprived of your smack-down of BM in your other TD. Seems he was able to get it deleted after he was finally down by almost 20 votes.

It's a shame that his true colors showed up.... Good work Froggy, you definitely manned up.

It doesn't suck as bad as Nascar though!

Playoffs look great this year. I'm a Bulls fan, so I'm hugely disappointed that Rose is hurt. But I don't think the Bulls are dead, just that their chances went down. They proved earlier in the year that they can beat the Heat without Rose, they just have to shoot a high percentage from 3 and limit their turnovers. Celtics have an outside shot. Thunder, Spurs, Lakers, Grizzlies, Clippers all have chances. I would think the Spurs look better than the Heat right now. Playoffs look very good this year.

I won't lie, as much as I love NASCAR, it has been rather dull this season. The drivers have too much respect for each other. Kyle Busch, as much as I hate the sumnabitch needs to lose his cool and start another rivalry.

pretty sure it wasn't BM that got it deleted, he was enjoying the comments way too much

I thought Nascar was all about the individual rivalries? And it sure sounds like they gotta mix things up a little.

I agree, the playoffs will be really good. Hey you never know a player maybe a superstar after the playoffs that is not widely known yet to the non hardcore fan. Like maybe a Sessions from the Lakers, Jefferson or Milsap from Utah, Gasol from Memphis, Jordan from the Clippers, Ibaka from the Thunder, Hill, George or Hibbert from the Pacers or Davis or Anderson from Orlando.

It is written on stone that Moses brought down from the mountain top. Pro basketball would have to improve by 1000 % before it rose to the level of "sucks".

I agree with you on that one. I'm a big CBB fan although I'm not a fan of the NBA.

We have that in common. I've always watched a lot, and really enjoyed, college ball. I regret that so many talented kids go on to the pros now after only one year of college ball. Staying in for at least 2 more years would help them develop their talents and be more mature as they begin their NBA careers. It couldn't do anything but help them overall.

Good call on having college kids stay at least two years. I really think if the NBA would do that it would help both the NBA and CBB. I used to live in Vegas and was a UNLV season ticket holder (hoops) from the 2006-07 to the 2009-10 seasons.
