Assuming everyone is fully healthy

Lineups
first/second
PG: Chris Paul/Rajon Rondo Advantage 1st team
SG: Tony Allen/Kobe Bryant Advantage 2nd
SF: Lebron James/Luol Deng Advantage 1st
PF: Serge Ibaka/Kevin Garnett Advantage 1st
C: Dwight Howard/Tyson Chandler Advantage 1st

The fact of the matter is that the first team is just better all around, the only advantage the 2nd team has is Kobe over TA but it's not that big.

The 1st team would win a real game.

well, considering playoff performances, and the rise of KG, I think the 2nd team can win.

Lets break it down, Mr. Danillo (Galinari?) :D

Chris Paul vs. Rondo

Yes, Paul is the best point guard in the NBA. But, when you really look into it, Rondo is just as impressive. His play, especially in the postseason, is waaay superior to Chris Paul's numerous choke jobs this past postseason. Teamwise, I like Rondo's style a little more, and Paul hasn't really stepped up in big moments.

Tony Allen vs Kobe

Kobe Bryant can't be guarded, and all Allen has is defense, with no real offensive game. If Kobe had a better bench, he would be in the conference finals right now. he's still balling.

James vs Deng

This would be a great matchup had Rose not gone down. James is the better player, but i think Deng can control him better then other guys. Also Deng looked very impressive this year.

Ibaka vs KG

The "surge" in KG's game this year from last makes me give the nod to him, though i liked Ibaka's game this year.

Tyson is a better defender then Howard, and Howard is a liability at the end of games.

All around, my team will score more points. That equals a win. ;-)

So what you're saying is the #1 team is better than the #2 team.

Hmmm....

A better question is how does a player win defensive player (Chandler) of the year and get second team all defense?

As for the players listed above:
Paul slight edge over Rondo
Kobe big edge over Allen
Lebron big edge over Deng
Garnett Edge over Ibaka
Howard edge over Chandler - Not as big as people think since Howard can not make a foul shot or shoot outside of 5 feet from the basket. For Howard to be considered an all time great he has to learn to make a 10-12 ft jumper consistently.

Seems close to me.

CP choke job this postseason? He has been playing hurt.

cry me a river. watching those 4th quarters, Paul blew them all. if he is too hurt to play, then he should sit down.

Ibaka over KG? What? Vote right.

KG was pretty awesome this year and the playoffs. team hims up with Kobe and Deng and Chandler, and that's a lot of length.

There is no defense in the NBA, it was outlawed when Jordan took the court. Everyone knows that...sheesh!

Garnett making the all-defensive team as a PF was kind of silly. He was a non factor early in the season when he was actually playing PF. It wasn't until the move to C around the AS break that he regained his defensive dominance. Still, he should have been second team defensive C to Chandler.

Paul didn't have a great year defensively, Rondo should have been first team. Chandler being second team to Howard is completely absurd.

The entire voting process makes you wonder if NBA coaches pay any attention at all or if they vote based on names.

That incredibly stupid statement alone is going to lose this TD for left.

He would have to finish it to lose it. Since it's been 11 days since he posted an argument, there may not be much chance of any kind of decision in this battle

Ah, didn't notice the date.
