matchups.. = VERSUS..

not in order...

Lebron vs Carmelo.. Both drafted the same year, they both topped off, one of the best drafts in nba history. Carmelo is a pure scorer, and Lebron, well, we all know he's got all around game . This is a very athletic matchup, and very, very competitive, even Melo doesn't have that great uh 'D.

Dwayne Wade vs Kobe..

This is a special matchup. Dwane Wade is a Finals MVP, one of the best players in the game, versus arguably the best shooting guard in the game, mr. mamba..

going old school.. Kevin Garnett vs Tim Duncan..

Two of the best powerforwards ever, mr. calm cool n collected vs the Big Ticket, a.k.a fiesty mcghee.. This matchup he's been played out, but it's still damn entertaining. KG doesn't back down from anyone, Tim Duncan, he's smooth an finesse like Montana.

To make it fair, I'll throw all 5 of mine out there.

KG vs Duncan.

These two first ballot HOFers can't play enough in my mind.

Westbrook vs Derrick Rose

CP3 is the king of pure points, but the protest MVP vs a guy you can't miss.

Love vs Blake Griffith

Could this be KG/Duncan in a decade? No, but they can be very close.

Nash vs Kidd

Two old farts who know it all, and still win.

Chris Paul vs Tony Parker

CP3 is the master as a pure point, but Parker just wins, and gets everyone going.

you like my throwback pick, eh? haha

Yeah,, no kobe?

that's super lame.. Just the closest thing we've seen to MJ, since MJ.

Nash vs Kidd is a good one. Legends! I like that one, but i will not copy it...

Derrick Rose vs Cp3 ...

Two of the best in the game.. Different style point guards, but both sooo effective. Poor Cp3 gets to the playoffs, but can't get the sh8t to click.

and for my final pick..

I have Dwight Howard vs Nene..
I'd say Nene is a little tougher than Bynum, maybe not, but i do know Bynum pouts a lot! hahah Dwight is a freak, and his game is strong inside. Nene's the best body to take on "superman"

I know, the center position is horrid.. Gotta give some props somewhere.. lol

So my final lineup..

Dwayne Wade vs Kobe Bryant

Lebron James vs Carmelo Anthony

COPIed bY NC.. KG vs Big Fundamental

Derrick Rose vs Cp3, fast n furious

NENE vs Dwight howard

Nope, no Kobe.

Kobe is like Duncan, he's playing against history.

Unlike Duncan, there's nobody in the NBA who can matchup with him.

Wade has the Ring, the Finals MVP, but let's face it. Unlike KG/Duncan, we are not going to get 30mins of Wade vs Kobe. Wade can't handle Kobe if his shot is falling, and LBJ is going to take him on occasion anyway.

You think KG is going to tap PP to ride Duncan for a few minutes?

To put it in simple terms- its not a cage match, its a survivor series

The MegaPowers (LBJ/Wade) vs the Dungeon of Doom (Kobe as the Giant, Metta as Shark, pau as the Yeti, Bynum as lex Luger)

Next.

Melo is a great OFFENSIVE player, but he'w closer to Dominique wilkins than Gerald Wilkins on defense. He dosnt make Bron work on the defensive end, true not many players do, but Melo, like 'Nique would be a better matchup playing 21 with Lebron than matchups.

Lebron and Carmelo are two top scorers in the game.

Carmelo can shoot eyes out at will.

Lebron, he can drive to the bucket, any time he wants to. (minus last year's finals)

Anywho..

What you got on my Nene vs Big Dwight matchup?

Pretty nasty huh.. kinda like Dusty Rhodes vs One Man Gang?

haha

Yeah, Nene, believe it or not, is arguably the 2nd best center in the game. "ARGUABLY".. key word..

Bynum has a lotta followers.. i'm not getting in that debate. But Nene, he phsically matchup with Dwight, who's a super freak, and we aint talking abou the sheets.

Dwade can play pretty dirty on defense, he's fast, he's arguably the 2nd best shooting guard in the game. Kobe, he's a living legend of course, but these two, there competitiveness, un-real!

and in a weird way, both have minor similarities of the GREAT MJ.. no joke..

WEll, my 3 minutes is up, good night, mate

Nene.

Really?

You honestly, when was the last time you were flipping channels and saw NENE and told the wife (or whatever) hang on babe, we're gonna be late to Logans (or Wendy's) NENE is playing tonight.

I'm more enthused to see Ty Lawson or even Danillo overe Nene.

And Dwight don't Care. He's past the point where he's exciting to watch. He hasn't improved in 3 years- I've seen a guy act like this for 15 years in the NbA, he Also wore a Magic uniform.

QUOTE(#1):

Kobe hasn't really had an equal since MJ retired. Would've been interesting if Kobe had played in the 90s to see how the 2 really stacked up against each other.

We seem to have forgotten the younger part of Kobe's career where many people thought T-Mac was better. Before T-Mac starting having consistent injuries and before team playoff failures had piled up, people just judged them by talent and a large portion thought T-Mac was better.

I would rather watch LBJ play Kevin Durant than Melo any day. Durant is better than Melo and Melo has never shown that he is in LBJ's class in my opinion.

Have to agree.

Kevin Love vs Blake Griffith will also be a good rivalry between these two.

Its hard to get LBJ in a strong one-on-one. (See arg2)

He's almost like Kobe where there is noone to par him with. Durants good, but his defense is going to be an issue.

LBJ is almost playing history without the rings.

Love and LaM play the game a different way, and as they mature, its going too be great if they get teams/coaches around them.

I think Durant has turned into an excellent defender this year. He's still got room for improvement, but I thought he did great on Kobe in the playoffs and has been pretty good throughout the regular season too. Obviously he's not strong enough to manhandle Lebron, but nobody is. Lebron's not a good enough shooter to play KD offensively to play KD the way he would go at Lebron either.

Would I be shot for thinking Wade/Westbrook might be a more interesting matchup?

Esp with about 2 mins left?

That's pretty reasonable. Westbrook is very entertaining to watch and Dwade is almost (or just as much depending on who you ask) as much of a douchheebag as Lebron is. It gives you two exciting players and one that is really easy to root against.

I definately love the potential matchup of Thunder vs Heat in the championship.

How about Rondo vs. Tony Parker?

Didn't want to use a player more than once.

Else Tony would be in 4 of them (paul, parker and Nash, kidd)
