Sports clubs you would hate to be a fan of..

1. Pittsburg pirates
the ultimate sellers club..
they do get talent.. And then trade them away for nothing..

2. Bungles
seems like half their players have criminal records..

3.dolphins..
they are getting peyton!!!!
nope..
gerrard? With a bummed back??
genius:)

4.marlins..
not as hopeless as the pirates..
but it is another ultimate sellers club..
lucky for them, they get a ton of talent constantly..

5. Clippers
things were so bad, fans would wear bags on their heads..
i know they now have griffin and paul..
but their bench sucks..

6. Bills..
imagine being a fan of a team that loses 4 SBs in a row!
ouch..

7. My beloved arsenal..
biggest sellers in soccer..
plus we havent won a trophy since 2004,
which is really hard to do..

8. Andy murray
imagine coming from a country that has not won a slam since 1933..
then you get a guy constantly makin it to the semis and finals..
the agony..

9. England national soccer team..
one world cup in 100years,
(and they only won that cause it was on home soil)..
failure to qualify for 08euros was bad..

10. San diego chargers..
they are just beyond stupid


I have to say I disagree wholeheartedly with your premise, which is that people should never be fans of losing teams, only winning ones. I feel the opposite, that true fans need some losing to be able to appreciate winning. Teams that win too often have such an expectation of winning that most seasons are disappointments. And, when your team wins, it's expected and can hardly be as satisfying that a fan of a team that struggled a bit to win. As such, I feel bad for fans of....

Heat - best team in the league, but everyone hates you and you can't win, so really every season ends in failure

Lakers - Just made it to the conference semis and now have to break up team because it's unacceptable. If they don't, only D-level celebrities show up at games.

Yankees - Every season you don't win a championship... a failure. that means 10 out of the last 11 seasons were failures

Man U - Now even Man City is better and Chelsea won Champions League?

Duke - Everyone hates you and you should hate yourself. Just saying.

I'd also hate to be a fan of a team where the fans don't care even when you're good, like any team from Atlanta or Florida.


I can see you are kind of a glass half empty kind of guy..

I for one like the evil empires..
they set the benchmark..
without man U, the premiership would be a joke..
they forced chelsea, arsenal and chitty to become better teams..
that can only be a good thing..

I was wrong about saying its a low quality basketball year..
with bosh gone..
it forced wade and lebron to hit the matrix zone..
games 4,5 and 6, were things of beauty..
and got casual viewers into it..
plus did you really want to see indiana vs philie?
come on man!


I'm a Celtics fan, so I'm happy to see Celtics/Heat and pray for a miracle.

I'm all for a dynasty making other teams better, but I usually hate the dynasty. I'm more of an underdog guy. True, I am a Celtics fan, but the Celtics dynasty is a thing of the past and has little bearing on today. The real dynasties in the NBA are going to be the warm weather cities (i.e. LA, Miami, etc.) because guys want to play there.

So, let me add my hatred for any warm weather teams, teams where good players flock, but fans don't because they're too busy going to the beach. They don't deserve the teams they have.

To be fair, it was probably great to be a Red Sox fan in '04. Hard to imagine a Yankee fan ever feeling that great about winning, even the '96 team that broke the 18 year drought.
