misses on purpose, and throws behind rog..
Pedro beating up old man don zimmermann..
i remember watchin this live..
thinkin someone had spiked my beer..
i laughed sooooo hard..
A busted chick, streakin before the 96 wimbledon finals..
just imagine, you have spent your whole life preparing for one moment..
and a naked girl starts running around..
it would have been easy for the loser to blame the weirdo..
but washington, class act, just laughed it off..
In south africa, rugby..
a 6"5 264lbs black guy, makes a break..
he is going to score!
and then a naked man from the stands,
comes out, and does a beautiful tackle on the beast..
i felt i was having a mental breakdown..
Eric cantona, soccer..
a fan talking smack to him, in the stands..
cantona has enough..
does a perfect jumping karate kick,
in the guys face!

July 1978 - Michel Pollentier wins Alpe d'Huez & then gets caught trying to fool the drug test with a condom full of clean urine and is ejected from the 1978 Tour de France, providing a cautionary tale for all the Whizzinators to come.
May 1997 - Rebecca Sealfon screams her way to the National Spelling Bee championship. Already booted in the 3rd round, I had to hold my ears along with the rest of the audience at the DC Grand Hyatt as she shouted out E-U-O-N-Y-M for all the marbles:
February 1988 - Eddie "the Eagle" Edwards jumps his way dead last in both the 70m and 90m ski jumps at the Calgary Olympics, an underdog endearing himself to a worldwide audience and forcing the IOC to set tougher qualifying provisions:
October 2009 - Joselito Ortega becomes the first bullfighter to ever wear advertising on his traje de luz, soccer-style... by endorsing a homosexually-geared energy drink, Gay-Up, in bullrings around Spain...

Well done, very creative and random as hell:)
I tried not to peek at the comments section, in fear of swaying my thoughts..
if i come up with similar ones, great minds think alike..
First olympic marathon..
the winner started drinking brandy at mile 15, to numb the pain..
Venus and serena williams, losing to a male alcoholic chain smoking guy ranked 204..
A bunch of soccer brit hooligans going over to turkey and getting their **** kicked..
Bobby valentine, with the fake moustache..
what was he thinking?
Greg rusedski, canadian/english tennis player..
all throughout his career, he got stick from both countries about switchin alliance..
but greg got the last laugh..
his last match, was a davis cup win..
while most top guys avoid davis cup..
greg, who doesnt even have english blood, consistently honoured his new country,
and showed english people, what being a good englishman, is all about..
if a guy loves and represents his country and makes his mark on society..
thats close enough in my books..

August 1904 - I see your Athens 1896 marathon and raise it with the 1904 St. Louis marathon, when Thomas Hicks became the first known Olympic doper for using measured doses of strychnine to fuel his victory to the line. (Amusingly, Fred Lorz was originally declared champ... though he spent half of the 26.2 miles in a car. Lorz was vilified; Hicks was lionized.)
August 1966 - For the first and, 46 years later, still the only time, the FIS Alpine Skiing World Championships are held in the Southern Hemisphere. The French team dominates the competition in Portillo, Chile, taking 16 of 24 total medals.
November 1986 - Ross Norman finally ends Jahangir Khan's world-record 555-match winning streak to take the Squash World Open title. Khan's record, which spanned five years of competition, remains the mark in all sports... the mark which is currently being chased by...
January 2012 - Esther Vergeer, the queen of wheelchair tennis, wins her 20th Grand Slam singles title and her 20th Grand Slam doubles title to pass Billie Jean King for third in all-time combined Grand Slam titles... and extends her singles winning streak to 454 matches.

In world war one..
on christmas day, both the germans and the english,
called a one day truce and played a soccer game on the battlefield..
it was one of those moments in time, that sports transcended above the current level of humanity..
he had a severely mentally handicapped brother,
and whenever he won a tennis trophy, he would give it to him..
Ivanisevic, finally winning wimbledon..
immediately gets hammered, and strips down to his boxers in the streets of croatia..
Pete sampras aussie open 95 vs courier..
starts uncontrollably sobbing,
(cause his coach was about to die)..
good guy courier, trys to make light of situation,
"are you alright pete? We can always come back tommorrow and play:)"
sampras snaps out of it, and wins in dramatic fashion..

October 1964 -- Osamu Watanabe completes an undefeated international wrestling career with an Olympic gold medal on home soil in Tokyo, defeating Nodar Khokhashvili in the final -- having never been taken down, having never surrendered a point. He would retire having gone 186-0 over three years of competition, winning the 1962 and 1963 world championship along with 1964 gold...
And now I leave you with two moments that defined 4th grade for me:
September 1992 -- After arriving in a trade with Atlanta, former Southern Miss QB Brett Favre takes the field for the first time in Green Bay in relief of an injured Don Majkowski... and promptly completes his first NFL pass to himself:
May 1993 - He had already hit 235 homers in his career at this point, and would hit over 200 more, but it was a homer he allowed that would largely come to define Jose Canseco -- at least before he became the Upton Sinclair of his sport, and even then it was instances like this that gave people cause to doubt his sincerity in the tell-alls:
