I got WRestleMania 6.

Warrior wins the heavyweight belt, from the seemingly invincible, HulkHogan.

IC TITLE VS HW TITLE.. Warrior rocks the Toronto, Skydome!!! :) memories,o,memories.

other notable matches..

Demolition vs Andre the Giant & Haku...

Rick Rude vs Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka

Dusty Rhodes w/ Saphire vs Randy "Macho King" Savage...

one of my personal favorite rivalries squared off, the orient express w/ Mr. fuji vs the young gunns, the Rockers..

I'm an old school fan, so I'm gonna have to go with...

<b>WRESTLEMANIA III</b>

Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant - The first slam of Andre

Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat vs. "Macho Man" Randy Savage

Jake "The Snake" Roberts vs. The Honky Tonk Man

The Hart Foundation vs. The British Bulldogs

And my personal favorite wrestler (and movie star), Rowdy" Roddy Piper vs Adrian Adonis, with the loser sacrificing his hair.

Not to mention it was the largest recorded attendance for a live sporting event for 20+ years, with well over 90K wrestling fans packing the Silverdome.

While the "Slam heard 'round the world" was GREAT.. it wasn't the greatest match..

Andre's skills in the ring, slow, old, boring.. sorry.. no offense to one of the best ever..

Ultimate Warrior begged the little hulkamaniacs not to eat their vitamins, and Terry, he didn't.

Warrior dethroned the king of wrestling. The skydome was pretty packed itself, not to the measure of the silver dome, but mighty close.

recent hall of fame inductee, Edge, he went to this HOgan vs Warrior match, givin that it was in Canada, and that's what started his "dream". haha true story..

Ricky the Dragon Steamboat vs Macho Man, that shoulda win it for yah right there, NOT

Ultimate Warrior vs Hulk Hogan is the BEST MAIN EVENT match in Mania History!

Both were in their primes, both had a HUGE, HUGE following, and both put it all on the line. Andre when Hogan slammed him, yes, was outta his prime..

NO, Dusty Rhodes vs Macho Man wasn't like Steamboat vs Savage, but it was a damn good performance. Dusty was coming from NWA, he had the polka dots to match..

I will bring up the remainder of the card in my next argument..

Hogan vs Warrior's match>slam of Andre, sorry!

I'm biased against Ultimate Warrior. I was always bored by his act. So, I had a hard time getting too excited about him beating Hogan. And we all know Hogan was no great wrestler, moves-wise. I would say Warrior's Wrestlemania VII with Savage was even better,

That being said, you can't say that the Hogan-Warrior match was better than the Steamboat-Savage match, with the pre-match bad blood (after Savage hit Steamboat in the throat with the ring bell) Then Steamboat opens the match by full-own choking Savage and holding him him the air. Finally, Savage almost gets in another shot with the ring bell before finally losing.

I also completely agree that the Andre fight was not a great match. Andre was too old and injured. And I'm not sure I completely buy the slam. But getting Andre in the air and hearing 90,000 people screaming at the top of their lungs is something I'll never forget (even if Edge wasn't there to see it. ;) And the match had a couple of great moments, including the first attempted slam with Andre falling on Hogan and nearly crushing him.

III > VI

At WrestleMania VI, Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake was the first person to pin Mr. Perfect in a televised match, thus ending Perfect's lengthy undefeated streak "the perfect record" in most fans' eyes.

that's another good match, I said nothing about.

Ted Dibiase vs Jake the Snake, million dollar belt on the line..

Roddy Piper vs Bad News Brown..

Also, pointing out that your Steamboad vs Macho match is better, irrelevant, that wasn't the main event for your "mania". ahah

Hating on Hogan doesn't do much for your argument either. He's the one that slammed Andre, and also, he might not have been the best "in-ring", but he knew how to play the crowd, that's for sure..

Warrior was in his prime, Andre clearly wasn't..

Back when WM 6 was going on, Warrior was like a glock nine in a china shop, believe dat! haha good night

I'd say the Hulk-Andre match was better was better than any of your matches other than the main. When you add the Steamboat-Savage and Piper-Adonis matches, it's not even close. III > VI.

Also, you never claimed the main event had to be the best match of the Mania. Very often it's not. But even if I concede that, I've got the next 2 best singles matches. And while Orient Express vs. Rockers may be an all-time favorite for you, it doesn't compare to Hart Foundation vs. British Bulldogs.

And of course, I can't stop mentioning the hair match. If you wanted Warrior-Hogan to be an all-time great, they should've wrestled for their hair.

Senor Peaches, my preference would be WM X-7. La paz sea con vosotros.

I'd take this but I don't think I could finish it before June 11, given Peachy's absenses and my pending vaca, so I'll pass for now.

WM10 was great. 1st WM Ladder match with HBK vs Razor Ramon. A classic with Owen Hart beating Bret Hart in the opening match and then Bret beating Yokozuna in the main event for the title. Macho Man vs Crush falls count anywhere. It sounds cheesy typing it now, but I even enjoyed Men on a Mission vs the Quebeccers lol

I'm also partial to WM14. Austin vs HBK, HHH vs Owen Hart, Foley and Terry Funk vs New Age Outlaws, Rock vs Ken Shamrock, Undertaker vs Kane in their first match, etc

Men on a Mission.. I remember when they gave Mabel a huge push, summer of '95 i believe. King Mabel, then title shot, fail short to the "Big Sexy".

great, or good?

Ladder match was the only thing "great" to me. (my opinion)

Another 1 of my favorites, not that anybody asked, WM 8. Sid Justice vs Hulk Hogan, and Ric Flair vs Randy Savage..

This was very solid Mania, but the ending of Sid vs the Hulkster, eh, not that good, even if Papa Shango and the Warrior with his new dew did come out. haha

The knock against WM 6 is that other than the main event, the matches weren't good enough to make it an overall good ppv. Demolition vs Collossal Connection was ok at best. Andre barely moved and it was basically just Haku. Haku is a decent worker, but not a real star. I was a big Demolition fan as a little kid, but when I watch it now I see that they are terrible in the ring and not nearly as cool of a gimmick as I thought. They are a big letdown. Dusty Rhodes and Saphire were terrible in WWE. Dusty Rhodes is the most out of shape looking "superstar" I can think of. How can you be that fat and not be a "big man"? Jimmy Snuka vs Rude was really short. Mr. Perfect vs Brutus Beefcake was good but not great. Ted Dibiase vs Jake the Snake was a countout instead of a clean finish. Heart Foundation beat the Russians in 20 secs. There were a bunch of other bad matches too. They at least needed a 2nd really good match for this ppv to be viewed higher.

I love Jake the Snake vs Undertaker and Bret Hart vs Roddy Piper from that event. That was a good one.

yeah, those were some great matches. Jake the Snake (heel) vs Taker, awesome, and that I-C match between Roddy and Bret, phenomenal.

I'd have went with III too if I took this. I saw it live (at the Civic Arena in Pittsburgh, as it was broadcast on closed-circuit TV at select arenas around the country - PPV didn't exist yet).

I and II were OK but III put WrestleMania on the map for good IMHO. It was the immovable object (Andre) vs. the Irresistible Force (Hogan). <flips quarter to Gorilla Monsoon>

I aslo think the maineven in III was better than VI. The whole arena gasped when Andrea fell on top of Hogan during a slam attempt in the openning minutes of the bout and almost got the 3 ending the match before it even got started. Then everyone came to their feet at the end of the match after Hogan finnaly slammed Andrea and pinned him. The psychology in the main event was so great that you didn't believe that Hogan could win until he dropped the leg and held Andrea's shoulders down for the 3 count. Recently Hogan has said he was never sure Andrea would do the job until it actually happened b/c if Andrea didn't want you going over YOu didn't!

Plus look at the aftermath. Hogan was so invinceable in VI b/c of III. The Warrior was a nut case who only held the belt for a year before they took it back off him and he never reached Hogan's level despite Hogan giving him the big rub. Hogan after III became bigger than life.

Most people could see that Warrior was gonna beat Hogan so it just wasn't as big as Hogan beating Andrea.

That's my 2 cents, anyway. Not that anyone asked for it!!! :^)
