Obviously, I'm taking the under in this one and predicting the Panthers are going to win 7 games while losing 9 games.
What hurts them the most is being in a tough division that features a good New Orleans Saints team, a real good Falcons team and a Tampa Bay Bucs team that you can't sleep on. The Dec. 9 game vs Atlanta is a toss-up, in my opinion, like how you have it listed, but I gave the win to Carolina because they're at home.
While yes, they have Cam Newton, I don't think he can lead the Panthers to a 8-win or more season. He had a season played where teams had never seen him before (outside of Auburn video footage) & I think teams are going to know how to attack him more due to seeing video for an entire off-season. Sophomore slump.

Can't sleep on Tampa?
You mean the team that quit last yer, used a top pick on a position of strenth to tick off its best weapon and has a QB who SERIOUSly regressed?
Let's keep in mind Carolina won't have their third string LB corps in there most of the year and drafted a tackling MACHINE and have a full offseason with the QB.
Next KC. You do now that Romeo is still the coach, right? The guy who could be called Norv Turner 2.0? Whom they ALSO play?
I'm also giving them wins vs NO early, as the Saints should struggle early with their third string coach and missing guys on an already shoddy defense.
Plus dallas coming off a bye and jerry Jones is already going nuts, having cut jason garretts pair off already.

No, you really can't sleep on Tampa. They improved their receiving corps by adding Vincent Jackson, which is a huge upgrade & will help out Freeman all-around. He had a horrible year in year 1, a fantastic year in year 2, and regressed a little bit in year 3, but improved his accuracy. He'll be good to go next year, especially w/ a better receiving corps.
Remember last season when no one could stop Cam Newton because he was doing things that he didn't do in college? Yeah, I wouldn't expect even nearly the same production as last year, especially since teams now have an entire off-season to prepare for him instead of just under a week. Oh, and even with Cam Newton playing as well as he did, they still only won 6 games.
You have a toss-up in the game vs New Orleans early so you obviously aren't confident with them anyway, but I can't see New Orleans, led by Drew Brees, losing to Carolina early going. & I never like games coming off a bye, especially when the opponents had a game the week before meaning they're back into game mode already & had time to rest up with a bye before hand. Plus, Dallas is a better team.
How can you have CAR beating Philly?

Dallas has a better team? Where? Dont let ESPN fool you, this is an average team. Tell me about the 10 win seasons or back to back playoff runs.
Dallas has the DROY, but that's it.
How has Romo looked on the road lately by the way?
As far as the Saints go, Brees is not in camp, they have a BUNCH to replace, beginning with the top G in the game, and will be on their 3rd string HC. I'm not sure Brees will be ready to play QB and OC with a franchise that has dickered with him on money.
Let's not forget the Saints and Panthers normally split the season, no matter the standings.
I'm stunned you are this high on Tampa. They could EASILY be printing Barkley Jersies by Halloween.
The Philly pick is based on two factors. The fact they drop 2-3 games a year they shouldn't, and Vick has lasted all 16 games how many times this decade? Has the line gotten that better?
Sat what you will about Cam. He did that with a playbook almost as thick as your volume of "great players from Marquette" Even at the end of the year, Rivera said he was using 20% of the playbook.

How does Dallas not have a better team? They have Romo in at QB along with a solid WR duo in Dez Bryant & Miles Austin as well as Jason Witten at TE. Sorry, but right there it's already better than what CAR has for their passing game, especially since Cam will regress this year.
So since they "normally" split the season, why would you have a toss on the first game? You aren't even confident enough to pit that as a win for CAR, why are you arguing it like you put "Win"?
Oh, last year? NO swept CAR. Same with 2010. Only reason they split in 2009 was because NO sat their starters. 2008, CAR swept NO. So how do they "normally" split the season, no matter the standings? Seems to me they don't.
So you're predicting Vick is going to be injured for this specific game? How the hell can you predict an injury for a player & base win-loss predictions on that? Oh, that's right, you can't because injuries are an unknown factor.
Plus, Philly is a good team. A dangerous team. They'll be able to handle CAR easily, especially with the offense Philly has led by Vick & McCoy.
Cam isn't the only QB in the league to have to deal w/ a huge playbook. No disadvantage there.
