1. easy.. pete sampras, on his return of serve..
no one in the history of tennis, has tanked more return of service games than sampras, ha ha..
I remember idolising him, when I was a teenager..
And I even thought that was the way tennis was supposed to be played..
Then I realized in my 20's I didnt have the big serve, or forehand.. so my best strategy would be to grind the guy into submission..
2. NBA stars in regular season..
there bags are packed and they are waiting for the playoffs..
3. NFL stars 13-0.. resting starters..
people work stupid jobs for $8 an hour, then pay big money to go to a game, and see the stars play at the ultimate level.. THIS ISNT RECESS!!!
4. 2011. Yankees resting mariano riviera in the 9th, so tampa bay does the miracle of muhammad ala/Virgin Mary!!!! This still gets me angry..
If Im watching that game live, I tell Pay Roll, I want my stupid money back!!!
5. 2006 World Cup.. Argentina vs germany..
Lets rest Messi, lets rest messi!
Yeah, rest him for 2 freakin months!!
Sometimes, in life, I feel I am surrounded by a bunch of idiots:(

1. The Williams Sisters - They play when they feel like it, generally only in the big tournaments. Sometimes they're in shape, sometimes they aren't. Too busy designing clothes and stuff, I guess.
2. Golfers
How can it take over 4 hours to play 18 holes of golf? They complain about baseball being long and slow, but golf is like an outdoor nap. How about running between holes or taking a cart. Just because you want to take a long leisurely walk and line up your ball 100 times, doesn't mean I want to watch it.
3. Team Sports Stars in The Olympics
Ok, if you're into figure skating or gymastics, you might still like the Olympics, but watching basketball, hockey, soccer, and tennis, you can tell the people don't really care. A couple of them might want to win a gold medal. The rest of them are just on a paid vacation, taking a few weeks off from their regular tours and trying to get lucky at the Olympic Village. Good teams barely have to try during their early matches and something you get a winner no one expected because none of the other teams cared (i.e. Cameroon 2000).

solid on the Williams sisters.. I should have thought about that one, being a tennis nut..
I dont like Golf.. Heard a great joke..
"golf is for people with no sex drive"..
When I am totally hammered, I will play minature golf, but thats only cause it relates back to my childhood..
If I wanted to be a wanker, I would say golf is not a sport and its a game..
But since your statement was so anti-golf anyways.. I am super happy to let it slide:)
I STRONGLY DISAGREE WITH YOUR STANCE ON OLYMPIC SPORTS..
This This year, In London, they are having olympic tennis at freakin WIMBLEDON!!!!
DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE WOULD DIE JUST TO STEP OUT ON THAT COURT???
Its awesome, 2 wimbledons in the space of 6 weeks???
LIFE DOES NOT GET BETTER THAN THIS:))))
I will agree with you, back in96, no one cared about olympic tennis.. It was agassi against a bunch of nobodys.. But now, things have changed..
Rodger Federer, being Rodger Federer, started crying when he won olympic gold in doubles..
If it was a big deal to the great one.. Its a big deal to me..
PLUS
SERENA WILLIAMS IS PLAYING MIXED DOUBLES!!
SHE WILL DESTROY THE OTHER GIRL, ITS AWESOME

Winning Wimbledon is great. But winning an Olympic medal on the Wimbledon courts doesn't mean you won Wimbledon. And I'm sure if you go visit, they'll let you step on the court.
And you know who won the Olympic Gold Medal in 2004? Nicol??s Mass??. Now he's ranked 565 in the world and he's had a completely undistinguished career. Gee, really glad I invested in that Olympic tennis tournament.

oh come on..
Everyone likes the olympics..
Theres no major sports going on in the morning/day in august anyways..
And you can still watch your precious baseball at night..
The top events Im looking forward to at the London games
tennis, its the real deal now.. no more mickeymouse nonsense.. I guarantee you, one of the big 4 wins the gold.. And what if its Murray?? A Brit has not won Wimbledon since the 1930s, but wouldnt an olympic wimbledon be just as close enough..
Soccer,
Last olympics, we had Iraq getting to the semi's, a REAL cinderella story if you will..
Its all young professionals under 23.. So its almost like watching college football.. Will anyone stand up and be the next vince young?? and dominate a bunch of kids??
Baseball..
Yeah, its usually between cuba, USA and Japan..
But once this thing gets to the semi's, I start watching for sure..
Track and Field + Marathon..
Can the most dominating woman marathoner of all time, FINALLY TASTE GOLD??
She has won everything else..
But unfortunately, does not run well in the Heat..
But in england, heat wont be a factor..
soooo many storylines going into this baby..
Ya got to watch..

Other people can get excited about the Olympics if they want. To me it's not the same if you don't have natural rivals, like we used to have with the Soviets. That made almost every event exciting.
But now there's 2 types of Olympic events:
1. Sports we don't care about and only watch because it's the Olympics (figure skating, gymnastics, track and field, etc)
2. Sports we normally like, but the Olympics are really not relevant in (basketball, hockey, soccer, etc) - Sure, it's fun to watch these all-star teams play for a couple of weeks, but it's not nearly as important as club team play and exising tournaments (i.e. NBA Finals, soccer World Cup, etc).
All, lastly, the Olympics are basically just one big commercial. Every hour is five minutes of actual sports and 55 minutes of ads and hosts blathering about the upcoming schedule.
For Americans, the only things that will matter will be gymnastics, the 100 meters, Michael Phelps, and the weeklong all-star basketball tournament.
The Marathon? No one in this country cares. Iraq getting to the semis? Just the type of joke competition I'm talking about. And baseball?! The best are playing in MLB!!! Watch that!!!

Golf is very lazy. The idea of the caddie exemplifies pure laziness by the golfer. You can't carry your own equipment? You need to bring another chump along to carry your equipment so you don't have to do any tiring work yourself?
At least pro golfers walk lol

A caddy does FAR more than just carry clubs. No sense explaining it to people who don't care about golf, though.
BTW, it's a FAR more difficult sport to master than pretty much any of the Olympic sports and much more exhausting than you think. Roger Clemens once said he was more tired after a round of golf than after pitching a complete game...and that Golf was more difficult, to boot.
