McCall vs Johnson

I'm going Uncle Creepy here. McCall to me is the best 125 lbs fighter in the world and he showed it in his last fight vs Johnson. Sure it was ruled a draw but Ian outgrappled and outhustled Johnson and will do so again.

Erick Silva vs Charlie "Fitch Jr. " Brenneman

Pyle vs Josh the Dentist Neer.

Going with Mike Pyle. Neer has shown some weak TDD in his career and has shown he can be smothered. Well, meet Mr. Pyle. He'll smother Neer all night. This will be an ugly fight, but look for Mike Pyle to win 3 rounds zip over the Dentist.

Eddie Wineland vs Scott Jorgensen

I'm picking Jorgensen simply because Nerby is a big fan of the Boise native. Nah, I'm taking Scotty because of his wrestling. Pure and simple, Wineland has always struggled in this department and this fight will be the same. Jorgensen might lose a round but he'll cruise to a decision.

On the whole Story vs Brenneman fight. People fail to realize Story was supposed to face Marquardt until Nate was pulled from the fight 2 days prior. Brenneman stepped in Marquardt's place but the whole dynamic of the fight was changed.

Rick was supposed to fight Marquardt standing and never worked on his wrestling for the fight because Nate Marquardt is no wrestler. He ended up fighting a wrestler in Brenneman and suffered the consequences.

Chalk that up to bad timing.

Sure Brenneman lost to Hendricks and Johnson via TKO but guess what, their striking is not even close to the level of Silva's. Not only that but Silva's BJJ is way above that of Hendricks and Johnson.

I think Silva's athleticism and striking will overwhelm Brenneman. Charlie is terrible on the feet and has never shown any BJJ game on the mat.

The truth is Brenneman's only path to victory is to take Erick down and lay on top of him for 3 rounds. I doubt this happens.

The fight will start standing and every round will also. At that point Erick will hold a distinct advantage. On the ground Erick will be able to get back up or sweep Charlie.

Silva overwhelms Charlie on the feet for a TKO win.
