1.Tom Brady is one of the best QB's ever.great passing yards.plus he has good WR's on his team so if he mesups randy or donte will catch it so he wont look bad.but that bearly never happens because he is an awsome thrower.as we all know he is top QB so might agree with me on first.2.Peyton Manning is one of the best but has a good runningback to so will never will actully get booooed for people getting fumbles on his team.plus he also has good WR's like marvin and reggie would catch it mostly anytime it comes to them from peyton.plus has had a lot of good passes so far.3.Brett Favre is the third best and is one of those people that pass a lot with good sportsmanship and alot of passing yards.he is most domanint too.a lot of good WR's like donald driver them together are awsome.so theres my list i probally wont argue any more in the other rounds.now you make your arguement.

I agree with Brady and Manning at the top. Howeverr, I don't think Favre is 3rd.

Favre is a great QB and is having a pro bowl caliber season, but don't forget his numbers from the last 2 seasons.

2005: Passer Rating 70.9 20 TDs, 29 INTs
2006: Passer Rating 72.7 18 TDs, 18 INTs

A QB that's supposed to be the 3rd best in the league doesn't put up those numbers.

The way I see it, Brett Favre's had 3 very good performances this year, and 2 mediocre to bad ones.

Against Chicago last week, his two second half interceptions helped Chicago score 20 second half points en route to the Bears victory.

In week 1, he did pretty poorly against the Eagles. 10 of Green Bay's 16 points resulted from muffed punts by the Eagles. Favre posted a QB rating of 58.2

Instead of Favre, I think Carson Palmer's the 3rd best NFL QB.

The Bengals 1-3 record isn't Palmers fault.

Is it Palmer's fault that the defense allowed 51 points to the Browns in week 2?

Is it Palmer's fault the defense allowed a last minute touchdown to the Seahawks in Week 3?

And frankly, at this point no QB has had success vs. the New England D, so don't blame him for the Week 4 loss either.

so your saying palmer's at 3rd.favre would beat palmer

I'm not sure what you meant by that statement. Favre would beat Palmer? Does that mean the Packers would beat the Bengals?

Just because one team can beat another, it doesn't mean the losing squad has the poorer QB.

The Ravens won 12 games and the Super Bowl in 2000 with Trent Dilfer and Tony Banks at QB. Those two were probably two of the worst QBs in the league that year.

Palmer's led the league in TD passes over the past 2 years. He's been 3rd in passing yards over the past 2 years as well. In addition, he's thrown a lot less INTs than Brett Favre has over the past 2 years (25 vs. 47).

it means favre would beat palmer in stats.

Well Palmer's bettered Favre in stats over the past 2 years.

Palmer: 65% comp %, 7871 yards, 60 TDs, 25 INTs
Favre: 58% comp %, 7766 yards, 38 TDs, 47 INTs

I think Favre's a great QB, but c'mon, just because Favre has better stats than Palmer through 1/4 of the season certainly doesn't mean he's going to put up drastically better numbers this year.

Favre's also put up his best numbers against pretty soft defenses this year. In fact, each of the defenses Favre has faced this year have been 20thvs. the pass or worse.

Philadelphia (21st Passing D)
NY Giants (20th Passing D)
San Diego (27th Passing D)
Minnesota (30th Passing D)
Chicago (26th Passing D)

Palmer's put up better stats over the past few years, and this year, hasn't had a running game to speak of.

I know he might not be doing as good this year, but honestly, I think Palmer's success over the past few years, outweighs Favre's success in the past 5 weeks.

im talking about this year

Then you should've put that in the title or in your first argument! If you say top 3 QBs in the NFL, it doesn't mean the same thing as top 3 QBs in the NFL this year.
