Steve Nash has 2 MVP's in his trophy case, but he is missing an NBA title on his resume.

He is a free agent this summer and will be courted by several teams, among them the New York Knicks.

Nash averaged 12.5ppg, 10.7apg, and 3rpg while shooting 53.2% on his FG attempts, 39% on his 3-pointers, and sinking 89.4% of his FT attempts. On a Phoenix Suns team that had very little talent.

He might not be the same player he once was, but on the New York Knicks he would be re-united with Amare Stoudemire and help give NY a great pick and roll combination. He also would be the person to get both Amare and Carmelo Anthony the ball when they need it. He's a very good distributor and would fill a need.

Nash's career is almost over. Davis will have the benefit of being in a rebuilding situation. Wherever Nash goes, there will be expectations on that team and him to win immediately since he has just 2-3 years left most likely.

Davis is more likely to be the next Marcus Camby rather than the next big thing at center. Which leads me to my next selection....

My 2nd choice is Dwight Howard.

He is clearly the best center in the NBA and next season will be his 9th. He won't be on the Magic next season, but the pressure will be on him to bring a title to his new team. He has been given a pass in Orlando because of Otis Smith and his boneheaded decisions like giving Rashard Lewis a max deal when no other team was offering crazy money. Or like trading for Gilbert Arenas who had an equally bad contract.

Howard is an elite defensive player and rebounder who can help change the direction of a franchise. His offensive game may be rather limited, but he still puts up 20ppg on just 12 FG's per game. If he goes to a team that gets him 15-18 shots per game he could easily average 28-30ppg.

Derrick Rose was injured this season and if he was healthy they very well may have represented the East in the NBA Finals.

"Rose is going to be given that distinct honor of being among those to being "not able to win the big one."

He has been in the League just 4 seasons. He still has some time.

My 3rd choice is Carmelo Anthony. Anthony was drafted the same year as LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade. James and Bosh just got their first ring while Wade got his 2nd.

There is pressure on Melo to win. He has [B]lost in the 1st round 8 times[B] and he has talent in New York with Amare and especially if Nash heads there to try and make a difference and get that elusive ring.

Melo is a great closer and a phenomenal talent, but he has to win and soon. The pressure is squarely on his broad shoulders. And winning is the only way to shake it.
