Steve Nash has 2 MVP's in his trophy case, but he is missing an NBA title on his resume.
He is a free agent this summer and will be courted by several teams, among them the New York Knicks.
Nash averaged 12.5ppg, 10.7apg, and 3rpg while shooting 53.2% on his FG attempts, 39% on his 3-pointers, and sinking 89.4% of his FT attempts. On a Phoenix Suns team that had very little talent.
He might not be the same player he once was, but on the New York Knicks he would be re-united with Amare Stoudemire and help give NY a great pick and roll combination. He also would be the person to get both Amare and Carmelo Anthony the ball when they need it. He's a very good distributor and would fill a need.
Bring it!!!!

Nash is a decent pick. However, I think Nash is one of those great players who flies under the radar. I don't think he will have that pressure on him to win a championship. He wants it, but the media wont be hounding him about not winning the ring.
My pick has never even played one game in the NBA. I am talking about one of the biggest hypes since "that other guy" that came out of the draft.
Anthony Davis of presumably the New Orleans Hornets will endure the most pressure to win the NBA title.
It will not be next year, or the year after that, or even the year after that. Here is why I think he will be the guy the media picks on to win a championship. First- There is no other superstar out there that I can easily categorize as having the pressure. Durant is too young, and I think he will get a ring in the next couple years at least. Second- Davis is considered the next big thing to hit the NBA. There has not been this much assurance of a #1 pick since LeBron James with the Cavs. Give it a few years, and the media will be all over this guy to lead his team to a championship.

A player that has never played the game? LOL.
Nash's career is almost over. Davis will have the benefit of being in a rebuilding situation. Wherever Nash goes, there will be expectations on that team and him to win immediately since he has just 2-3 years left most likely.
Davis is more likely to be the next Marcus Camby rather than the next big thing at center. Which leads me to my next selection....
My 2nd choice is Dwight Howard.
He is clearly the best center in the NBA and next season will be his 9th. He won't be on the Magic next season, but the pressure will be on him to bring a title to his new team. He has been given a pass in Orlando because of Otis Smith and his boneheaded decisions like giving Rashard Lewis a max deal when no other team was offering crazy money. Or like trading for Gilbert Arenas who had an equally bad contract.
Howard is an elite defensive player and rebounder who can help change the direction of a franchise. His offensive game may be rather limited, but he still puts up 20ppg on just 12 FG's per game. If he goes to a team that gets him 15-18 shots per game he could easily average 28-30ppg.

Nice choice. I may have said him, but I want to keep this completely different.
Derek Rose
While still young in his career. He has been on the side of the injury bug lately. He has been to the Eastern Conference Finals, and has helped the Bulls to two consecutive top seeds in the East. Rose is going to be given that distinct honor of being among those to being "not able to win the big one."
Rose has superstar power, and if healthy he and the Bulls are going to be looked at as the team to knock off the Heat and win the NBA title.

Derrick Rose was injured this season and if he was healthy they very well may have represented the East in the NBA Finals.
"Rose is going to be given that distinct honor of being among those to being "not able to win the big one."
He has been in the League just 4 seasons. He still has some time.
My 3rd choice is Carmelo Anthony. Anthony was drafted the same year as LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade. James and Bosh just got their first ring while Wade got his 2nd.
There is pressure on Melo to win. He has [B]lost in the 1st round 8 times[B] and he has talent in New York with Amare and especially if Nash heads there to try and make a difference and get that elusive ring.
Melo is a great closer and a phenomenal talent, but he has to win and soon. The pressure is squarely on his broad shoulders. And winning is the only way to shake it.

The only thing Carmelo is going to be known for is someone who quit on his team and basically demanded a trade. There is no pressure for Anthony to win a championship....especially in New York.
To sort of rebuff what you said about pressure being on Melo to win in New York, especially with Nash (should he sign with them). The pressure will not be on the players, but the franchise will be under pressure to win. They have been known for spending money and not succeeding. I don't think the pressure is on Nash, or Carmleo. It is solely on the Knicks and Upper Management.
Third choice is Chris Paul.
He was the prime player that the Hornets wanted to trade. He was denied the trade to the Lakers, and instead went to the Clippers. I think the hype of Paul going to the Clippers along side Blake Griffin, makes him a perfect candidate as a player who needs to win a championship.
I dont know if he will ever win a title with the Clippers, but I think the media will be on Paul that he needs to win.

Can I ruin this TD before it gets started(ha-ha)?
Pretty sure I can think of all the current NBAers that are under the most pressure to get that elusive ring.
