This is the year the BCS finally blows up; no teams from BCS conferences will be left undefeated at the end of the year and everyone will argue which 1 loss teams should get in (or maybe an undefeated Hawail).

The Big East IS a BCS conference, no?

USF will go undefeated. After shutting down WVU (more than the score indicates) and that win over Auburn the week earlier, no team in the Big East looks better than they do.

USF's offense will dismantle UL's defense the way Syracuse did, and their defense will put constant pressure on Brohm and destroy his year.

They'll beat Rutgers, Cincinatti, and Connecticut too, leaving them undefeated.

Big East is a BCS conference, and kudos to the Brahmas! Leavitt has to be on the short list of nat'l coach of the year, but that's another td. USF still has to play AT Rutgers, and don't overlook @ Pitt.
OSU will lose at either Penn ST. or @ Michigan.
Boston College still has to play @ Va Tech, @ Maryland, and @ Clemson.
Kansas has games @ Colorado, @ Okl. St., and v. Mizzou in Kansas City.
Arizona St. has @ Oregon, @ UCLA, and USC at home.
Did I forget anyone?

USF's D is good enough to shut down Rice and the "rest" of Rutgers' O, while USF's O could destroy Rutgers' D.

Don't overlook @Pitt? Should they REALLY be worried about a 2-4 team that has lost 5 straight?

LOL you're funny.

OSU is guaranteed to lose, as are BC and ASU.

USF will be the lone undefeated team.

So Ohio St., BC and Ariz. St. are all GUARANTEED to lose, but not USF?
Not saying Pitt will beat USF, just saying they'd better be careful. . . Pitt has a lot of young talent that the light will be coming on for soon. It'll be a moot point anyway, because all that Florida talent Schiano's been recruiting to Rutgers is itching to make a statement against S. Florida.

I said this down there and I'll say it up here.

So USF is going to go through Rutgers, Cinci, UL, and UConn losing a game.

But somehow
OSU is going to go through MSU, Wisconsin, Illinois, PSU, and Michigan winning every game, while playing PSU and Michigan in Happy Valley and the Big House, without losing a game.

How does that logic work? OSU's next 5 opponents are 25-10, that's a HUGE test, especially for a team that's basically beaten nobody teams.

This season is crazy; upsets are happening every week. No undefeated team can confidently say there will be a 0 under the L column at the end of the year. And if they do go undefeated, that doesn't mean they will play in the national championship game.

October 14, 2007  04:35 PM ET

Easy to put who they have to play....but when you say don't over look pitt???come on are you serious? there freaking 2-4 with a tough game against Cini this upcoming week..worst argument ever! I don't think you know what your talking about and just putting the teams schedule out there....vote to LOUCATFAN

whoops sorry vote to BIO

There weren't any undefeated teams in 2003 when LSU and Oklahoma met for the BCS title.

October 14, 2007  06:53 PM ET

Not quite sure how you figure OSU is "guaranteed to lose," as I'm sure you're talking out of your a.s.s. again, but no, Pitt likely won't challenge anyone else for the remainder of the season.

i dont see Ohio State losing to anyone left on their schedule

October 14, 2007  07:55 PM ET

Michigan is playing much better than OSU is recently.

Aside from those two loses (and it's not that bad anymore, Oregon is #10 in the Top 25 now), Michigan has played like a top team in the nation.

OSU still has to play IN Happy Valley and IN the Big House.

On September 22nd, unranked Michigan hosted Penn State, the #10 team in the nation at that time.

Michigan's defense (which people said sucked) beat Penn State's defense, and Michigan won 14-9. They also put Purdue back in their place yesterday with a 48-21 victory.

OSU's played NO ONE, and remember the 2-0 halftime debacle against Akron? That's a hockey/baseball score, not a football score.

OSU has played two sub-.500 MAC teams, a Div-1AA team that's worse than Appalachain State, a 1-6 dreg team in Minnesota, and an overrated Washington and Purdue (Purdue was undefeated, but OSU beat them 23-7; but Michigan put up 48), and a mediocre Northwestern.

Just wait until OSU plays three real teams within the next three weeks, and four within the next five.

Hell even Illinois will be a challenge.

October 14, 2007  08:03 PM ET

I might add that OSU's played one ranked team - #23 ranked Pudue, who is now unranked.

Michigan played #10 Penn State (when they were unranked; PSU is now unranked thanks in part to a HUGE upset by Illinois; PSU also upset Wisconsin) and beat them 14-9.

They also played Oregon when they were unranked (but still damn good; now ranked #10), and throttled Purdue today after Purdue was fresh off a loss from OSU.

OSU's next ranked opponent will likely be Michigan in the last game of the season. Michigan's will likely OSU as well, as I can't see Michigan State creeping up into the Top 25 or PSU/Wisconsin getting back in

October 14, 2007  08:06 PM ET

Oh yeah steeler, I'm not talking out my ****.

Many people think OSU will lose.

October 14, 2007  08:15 PM ET

Wisco nothing to brag about...Illinois is just good this year...they had the number 1 recruiting class of 07...so who beats who in the big ten irrelevant...OSU is on the top in big ten...Illinois is going to be there only challenge...and thats in osu. Besides in mike hart is still hurt when OSU comes to town...ohhh man that makes teh game even worse...OSU has the number one rush defense...whos going to run against them ?

October 14, 2007  08:25 PM ET

You know that game's not for like another month, Hart should be healed.

And remember last year when Michigan had the #1 rush defense and OSU ran over them?

Wierd things DO happen.

October 14, 2007  10:49 PM ET

I'm not counting on a weird thing to happen....and the weird thing has already happen...Michigan losing to D-II school...in Mich.

October 14, 2007  10:50 PM ET

wait a min...im agreeing with you on this TD...

October 14, 2007  11:59 PM ET

Eh, it's not like Appalachain State is a bad team.

They're probably better than all the Sun Belt teams and a good deal of the bottom feeders in the other conferences (Syracuse, Baylor, Stanford, Duke for example)

October 15, 2007  12:00 AM ET

And speaking of Syracuse, we all know what they did >_>

October 15, 2007  12:14 AM ET

haha ohio state wont lose to Penn St or Michigan, they'll lose to Illinois in Champaigne this weekend, same thing with South Florida against Rutgers. USF has no experience being in this position and Rutgers wants that BCS bid so im goin all Rutgers.

October 15, 2007  12:28 AM ET

OSU dosent play Illinois this weekend they play Michigan St...just to fix that mistake...USF havin experience wont make any difference with the teams they have left on there schedule they arent goin to go undefeated, either Rutgers or Cinci will knock them off, the target on there back is to big...

October 15, 2007  12:29 AM ET

Yeah, but Rutgers really only has Ray Rice, and USF's defense is one of the fastest in the land.

October 15, 2007  12:30 AM ET

Okay, and you think the target on OSU's back isn't any bigger?

October 15, 2007  12:32 AM ET

I didnt say it is but OSU is used to it...and USF is not...
