Couple things; both of our teams are very stacked so the arguments here may seem like nit picking. Oh well, what can you do...

I like Ward over Kelly at QB. Ward was extremely mobile, and Kelly was a sitting duck in the pocket. Not only that but Kelly just wasn't a very good collegiate QB. Kelly played all four years in college, so his lack of stats isn't due to lack of opportunity.

Check out how poor Kelly's stats are:

He completed just 55% of his passes for his career.
He never threw more than 13 TDs in a single year, and the year he accomplished that he threw 14 INTs.
His collegiate career includes 32 TD passes and 28 INTs.
He never passed for more than 2,500 yards in a season.
In 4 years he managed a TOTAL of 5,228 passing yards.

Look at Ward's collegiate career:

In TWO season Ward surpassed Kelly's career's worth of passing yards, finishing with a total of 5,747.
Ward finished his two years with a TD/INT ratio of 49/22.
Ward completed 62.3 percent of his passes, including 69.3 in his Heisman-winning season.
Ward also ran for 889 yards in his career, along with 10 TDs.
Ward won the Heisman with over 3,300 total yards and 31 total TDs, and won the NC

Jim Kelly wasnt the greatest miami QB but I picked him bc I wasnt sure if NFL careers would be used in the arguements, bc if its just college I would have picked Ken Dorsey. But in 1980 Kelly did score the lone miami td on a one yd run to help the canes win 10-9 over fsu and in 1981 Kelly passed for 273 yds and engineered 2 4th-quarter scoring drives to lead the canes over No. 14 Florida State in Tallahassee.

Runnings backs- Edge 2960yds 32TD / Dunn 3959yds 37TD Dunn leads by 999yrds and 5TD however Dunn played four yrs at fsu Edge 3 and Edge only played 7games and 71 carries his 1st yr if Edge would have played one more yr he would have easily passed Dunn (1500yrds 13TD NFL rookie of the yr) Just to talented to stay another yr.

Greg Allen- wow 35yds in his 2yrNFL career. one 1000YD year for FSU however I still have to go with McGahee-2002 He shattered school season records, 282 carries for 1,753 yards (6.2 yards avg.) and 28TD. Finished 4th in Heisman voting Allens best was 7th in voting.

WR-Fred Biletnikoff- 87 Rec 1463 Yds 16TD WR-Ron Sellers-212 Rec 3598 Yds 23TD
WR- Michael Irvin-157 Rec 2626 Yds 28TD WR-Andre Johnson-92 Rec 1831 Yds 19.9 Avg 20 TD (2seasons)

Here's the thing. Your team has a bunch of recent big NFL names, so headline voters are probably going to be in your favor. But I don't see how any of these guys' NFL careers have any bearing on this debate. This is about an All-Time football team from School A facing off against an All-Time team from School B. Not the NFL.

That said, my team is simply better. Like I already proved, my QB is way better. WAY better. The RBs are a push. The WRs are equal, as well. Don't believe me? Well there's a reason the award for WRs is named after Biletnikoff, and Sellers was one of NCAA football's best threats from back in the day. And you all remember Warrick.

My line is better than yours, significantly. Shiver is one of the best centers of all time; any generation. Jones and Barron were two of the most dominant tackles college football has ever seen.

My defensive line is as good as my offensive line. Wadsworth and Boulware were premium pass rushers; Simon and Simmons were unmovable rocks on the line. IMO the LBs and DBs are another push.

So we have defenses that are basically equal, but my offense is significantly better, primarily due to your scrub QB.

Good luck

Okay our defenses are not equal warren sapp was better than anything on your d-line two-time All-American, the 1994 Lomardi Award winner, the 1994 Nagurski Trophy winner and was named the Defensive Player of the Year by Football Writers Association of America.

The canes line-backer core was deeper and more talented than yours I had to keep Dan Morgan, Jon Beason, and Johnathon Vilma off the team.

Miami also had a guy named RAY LEWIS who started 5 games his freshman yr, but he still totaled 81 tackles and two sacks. His sophomore YR 153 tackles, two sacks. He ended his career with a 160 tackle, two sack and two interception junior season that saw him finish as the runner-up to the Butkus award

Rolle was a shutdown CB. Ask Larry Fitzgerald (three catches for 26 yards) and Calvin Johnson (two catches for 10 yards) against Rolle.

Ed Reed-21 interceptions for 389 yards and five touchdowns (school records). I had to keep Sean Taylor a alltime college great off the team bc Ed Reed.

Miami running backs would have had a field day against your linebackers. Our RB and WR have lower stats bc they were to talented to stay in college for four yrs unlike most of your RB and WR.

the Janikowski omission is going to come back to bite you in the ass.

I disagree, him not mentioning Lee Corso will be his real downfall.

Biletnikoff wasn't that good and Warrick stole Nikes.

It's gotta be a gimmick that Snoops kid AND P-Dummy's kid will be playing football next year, right?

Very possible. He would've almost certainly been a clear cut advantage for me, even without knowing who my opponent is going to pick.

One could make a VERY good case for Sebastian Janikowski as the best kicker in CFB history.

And how could you possibly leave The Bandit, Burt Reynolds, off your list? LOL!

Substitute Chris Hope for Myron Rolle at FS, and you've got it nailed. (Mr. Rolle is a credit to FSU, academically and athletically, but Hope was more talented and more feared on the field.)

Yep. And I think callin' them the 12 Pac makes perfect sense.
