Okay I am picking this years draft class as the worst NBA draft class of all time. Anthony Davis will be the 1st pick and he is going to be a big man on a bad team so he will get his double doubles. But he isnt a franchise player wouldnt even start on any of the elite teams and after that there is no sure lock at number 2. After Anthony Davis the rest are future possible role players or 6th man type players, bench players, and just straight up benchwarmers. A majority of the draft wont even be in the league 7 years from now.

2001 NBA draft was pretty bad. 2 huge busts in the top 4.

1-Kwame Brown.

Widely considered to be the biggest bust of all time.

2-Tyson Chandler.

Excellent defensive player and rebounder, but you usually expect more out of a #2 pick.

3-Pau Gasol.

The best player selected in the top 10.

4-Eddy Curry.

He got a ring. That's probably the biggest joke of all, since he didn't contribute much to it.

5-Jason Richardson.

A solid scorer, but he never realized his vast potential.

6-Shane Battier.

A role player and nothing more.

7-Eddie Griffin.

Showed promise on the defensive end before he died.

8-DeSagana Diop.

Big time bust.

9-Rodney White.

He played in just 218 games in 4 seasons, averaging just 7ppg.

10-Joe Johnson.

Johnson is probably the 2nd best player drafted in the top 10 behind Gasol.

11-Kedrick Brown.

Played in just 143 games in 4 seasons. His career high was 5.3ppg in 2003-2004.

12-Vladimir Radmanovic.

Good shooter, but that's about it. Doesn't rebound, pass or play defense.

13-Richard Jefferson.

14-Troy Murphy

Yes the 2001 draft didnt turn out good but it wasnt the worst. The scouts and experts projected that it was a talanted draft that was going to have some game changers at the time unlike this years one player draft.

You also forgot to mention Tony Parker, Gilbert Arenas,Gerald Wallace and Mehmet Okur were in the 2001 draft.

2001 draft also produced 8 all-stars I dont see 8 all stars in this draft

Arenas was one of the most explosive scorers in the game for years until injuries cut his career short. He averaged over 25ppg 3yrs in a row at one point I cant see anybody in this yrs draft ever doing that.

Tony Parker one of the best PG in todays game.

Gerald Wallace, Richard Jefferson, and J-Rich were all solid scorers.

This yrs drafts talent was so weak that it couldnt even ignite a trade for Dwight Howard, orlando would have easily been able to move Howard in 2001.

Plain in simple if I were to make a alltime 2001 draft team and put it up against the best of this yrs draft the 2001 team would run this team off the court.

C- Chandler
PF-Gasol
SF- Joe Johnson
SG- Arenas
PG-Parker
Bench- Okur, Wallace, Battier, J-rich, and R. Jefferson

"You also forgot to mention Tony Parker, Gilbert Arenas,Gerald Wallace and Mehmet Okur were in the 2001 draft."

Arenas and Okur aren't exactly HOF candidates.

You should have waited a year or so before doing this TD. It's a bit early to compare players that have never played in the NBA to players that have played well over 10 seasons in the League.

However, I became your Huckleberry when I accepted the TD and here I go:

-Anthony Davis is a better offensive version of Marcus Camby. He instantly improves NO's defense.

-Michael Kidd-Gilchrist will be the face of the franchise for the BobKittens. He gives them an excellent defensive player and should improve his offense to justify being taken so high.

-Washington needed shooting when they acquired Emeka Okafor to pair with Nene and upgrade their frontcourt. Bradley Beal fills that need. He is being compared (by ESPN) to being a cross between Ray Allen and Eric Gordon.

-Dion Waiters was a stretch at 4 by the Cavs, but he is a scoring machine. And the Cavs need a lot of help.

More to come.

From the lot, I would probably pick 2000.

86 was bad. Pistons got a draft steal with Rodman in 2nd round. I agree 2000 was a bad stinker.

This is one of the deepest drafts I can recall. It won't be a 2003 draft with like 5 Stars, but OVERALL talent this draft is high in value.

There are like 25 players in this draft that can/will be starters within 3 years.

I feel sorry for Anthony Davis and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. They will be begging to be traded within a year.

There have been a LOT of terrible drafts, but to judge this one as the absolute worst before any one of the picks even plays a practice game is... ASININE.

DJ, you got my vote. This dude on the left knows nothing.

BTW: The entire first round of 2000 was TERRIBLE. Take a look and see for yourself:

It was between 2000 and 2001, Bill. I went with 2001 because they had 2 huge busts in the top 4. That's pretty bad.

2001 was better than 2000, but I see your point all the same. Good to see you, dude.
