wanna get blank!!! said 06/27, 11:58 PM
Okay I am picking this years draft class as the worst NBA draft class of all time. Anthony Davis will be the 1st pick and he is going to be a big man on a bad team so he will get his double doubles. But he isnt a franchise player wouldnt even start on any of the elite teams and after that there is no sure lock at number 2. After Anthony Davis the rest are future possible role players or 6th man type players, bench players, and just straight up benchwarmers. A majority of the draft wont even be in the league 7 years from now.

2001 NBA draft was pretty bad. 2 huge busts in the top 4.
Widely considered to be the biggest bust of all time.
Excellent defensive player and rebounder, but you usually expect more out of a #2 pick.
The best player selected in the top 10.
He got a ring. That's probably the biggest joke of all, since he didn't contribute much to it.
A solid scorer, but he never realized his vast potential.
A role player and nothing more.
Showed promise on the defensive end before he died.
Big time bust.
He played in just 218 games in 4 seasons, averaging just 7ppg.
Johnson is probably the 2nd best player drafted in the top 10 behind Gasol.
Played in just 143 games in 4 seasons. His career high was 5.3ppg in 2003-2004.
Good shooter, but that's about it. Doesn't rebound, pass or play defense.

Yes the 2001 draft didnt turn out good but it wasnt the worst. The scouts and experts projected that it was a talanted draft that was going to have some game changers at the time unlike this years one player draft.
You also forgot to mention Tony Parker, Gilbert Arenas,Gerald Wallace and Mehmet Okur were in the 2001 draft.
2001 draft also produced 8 all-stars I dont see 8 all stars in this draft
Arenas was one of the most explosive scorers in the game for years until injuries cut his career short. He averaged over 25ppg 3yrs in a row at one point I cant see anybody in this yrs draft ever doing that.
Tony Parker one of the best PG in todays game.
Gerald Wallace, Richard Jefferson, and J-Rich were all solid scorers.
This yrs drafts talent was so weak that it couldnt even ignite a trade for Dwight Howard, orlando would have easily been able to move Howard in 2001.
Plain in simple if I were to make a alltime 2001 draft team and put it up against the best of this yrs draft the 2001 team would run this team off the court.
SF- Joe Johnson
Bench- Okur, Wallace, Battier, J-rich, and R. Jefferson

Arenas and Okur aren't exactly HOF candidates.
You should have waited a year or so before doing this TD. It's a bit early to compare players that have never played in the NBA to players that have played well over 10 seasons in the League.
However, I became your Huckleberry when I accepted the TD and here I go:
-Anthony Davis is a better offensive version of Marcus Camby. He instantly improves NO's defense.
-Michael Kidd-Gilchrist will be the face of the franchise for the BobKittens. He gives them an excellent defensive player and should improve his offense to justify being taken so high.
-Washington needed shooting when they acquired Emeka Okafor to pair with Nene and upgrade their frontcourt. Bradley Beal fills that need. He is being compared (by ESPN) to being a cross between Ray Allen and Eric Gordon.
-Dion Waiters was a stretch at 4 by the Cavs, but he is a scoring machine. And the Cavs need a lot of help.
More to come.
