Is Mario Ballotelli that tall black guy with the blond Mohawk? I saw him get yellow carded in one of the earlier games for shirting himself after launching a missile into the top corner for his second goal of the match. He seems almost unguardable right now.

Wow, if I would have came on here before the match, I would have taken this TD and laughed at you, Froggy. Nonetheless, as I expected, Spain spanked Italy. It wasn't even close. Italy was lucky they got past Germany in penalties.

That's the guy. He's a pretty good striker, but not great.

Sorry, I misspoke about Italy winning in penalties, as I was thinking about the Portugal-Spain game.

Italy actually beat Germany pretty handily. It was 2-1, but Germany's goal was garbage time on a garbage call penalty kick. And the Spain-Italy game was a LOT closer than the score. Italy had a ton of possession and a lot of great shots in the first 60 minutes. They had an unfortunate injury that took them down to 10 men in the second half, and Spain piled on 2 goals in garbage time. Spain was the better side, but not by as much as it would appear if you just saw the score.

I voted left since right didn't even take the TD until the game was over. BS.

Spain stomped out Italy in record setting fashion.

Torres sucks? Golden boot with half of the playing time. He is obviously still trying to get confidence back but he is still a world class striker.

ITALYS MIDFIELD IS BETTER THAN SPAINS?! What planet are you on? Spain has 5-6 better mid fielders than Italy. Minus Pirlo.

They are/were and will be better in almost every facet of the game.

Um, David Villa opened up the scoring early in the first half with a great header. He was subbed out later in the game, and I would say that 2 of the goals Torres scored were meaningless. That said, Italy was very lucky to make it to the finals, as their defense isn't very good. Germany looked way too tired in the semi's, and probably used up all their energy in the previous four matches, or else we would have seen a great Euro final with Spain vs. Germany.

How was Italy lucky? They dominated England. Then they put two away against Germany. They deserved the win. They were also the only team to score on Spain. To say they were lucky undervalues everything they have done in the last two weeks.

Oh yea, my bad I mix up David of Man City and David of Barca at times. Spain has way too much talent to be worried about one or even two strikers being out. They're just too good, as they showed be holding Ronoldo and Portugal to zero through extra time.

I say they are lucky because they didn't draw Portugal in the semi's. Ronaldo would have scored a couple goals on them. Italy was also lucky to win in penalties, after being down 2-1 and Pirlo kicking a ball in that most goalies would have stopped, as well as Young hitting the crossbar and Cole kicking a terrible shot that was stopped for England.

Italy is still a very good team, but they had a little luck getting to the final. As you saw earlier today, they lost by the most goals scored by one team in Euro finals history. Good tourney overall.
