Note: This could be used in a blog. Deal with it.
Now that we have 8 Fighters in the Hall, let's start matching them up. To be fair, I'll do this by Debut.
What UFC HoF had the biggest IMPACT on the sport? This is NOT who would win in a fight or even better fighter.
(If you think this is obvoius, leave it, and I'll kill it tommorrow)
Match 2
Ken Shamrock (UFC1) vs Chuck (UFC 17)
To me, this is the biggest mis-match of Rd1
Chuck gave us the PERSONA of a fighter. If Tito never opened his mouth, is he even CLOSE to threatening or interesting? Chuck LOOKS like a guy that can kill, but Chuck can't talk.
The Larger addition Chuck gave us is the Final stage of the wrestler. Uses it by not using it. Chuck forced you to stand, because he wasn't going down. If lightning struck and he was down, he used his wrestling to get up. If you went down he used his top control to KEEP you down, not to the level of some, but Chuck was the first to use it to that extent. .

all i remember shamrock for was for getting his face pounded in. i remember chuck as being a bad **** mofo that really got a ton of people interested in the sport and was its face for a good period of time. i go chuck as well.

I would take this, but whomever tries to argue Shamrock has no shot at winning on votes.
Shamrock's impact on the sport outside of the US, mostly in Japan, was far more than Chuck's in the USA.

Come on, I wouldn't use an asses in the seats argument when the other guy was huge in Japan in a time when the attendances there tripled what the UFC does now.

Agreed, Chuck was a very big figure in the US MMA scene for a long time.
On a separate matter; I still wish that Frank would get his due. Best UFC light heavyweight discussions are always Tito/Chuck, but he never comes up because Zuffa has struck him from the record.
5 title defenses, and against equal if not greater competition to Tito's reign.
He belongs in the UFC HOF for sure. One of the best fighters of all time, top 5 in my book, and he never gets talked about anymore.

About what though?
I didn't see anything out of whack.
