What NFC team that made the playoffs last year will miss it this year?
My Pick?
Nawlins
The Falcons are better, Jones is going to be a star.
The Newtonians are going to be improved- and if Beason is 100% a threat to go all the way.
The Bucs suck, but they are going 0-6 to everyone.
It would not stun me if Bress missed a chunck of the season as well, and with the best G in the NFL gone, plus one of his best WR, that offense might be closer to 4K than 5K

The New York Giants.
WR Mario Manningham and RB Brandon Jacobs left to go the Bay area and play with the 49ers.
TE Jake Ballard was claimed by the Patriots.
WR Victor Cruz has to show last season wasn't a fluke and that he can be a true #1 WR for the Giants.
I know they won the Super Bowl, but they have to get their running game going. They averaged just 89.2ypg (32nd) and 3.5ypc last season.
The Giants surprised the world again by beating the Patriots, but I see some slippage and think they miss the playoffs this coming season.
The Saints lost Robert Meachem to free agency, but he caught just 40 passes last season. Lets not act like he was a #1 or #2 guy.
Devery Henderson caught 32 passes last season (15.7ypc) and can easily step in as the #3 WR and replace him without any issues.
Glad you didn't bring up losing Vilma because they picked up a stud in LB Curtis Lofton and he helps them get younger. This was actually an upgrade for them.

The Giants have one thing the Saints don't have-
A Superbowl winning Coach.
They also don't have a backup Coach who is skipping a chunck of the season.
Are they replacing a DC who designed an actual passable defense? Seems like Tommy Boy still has most of his people.
The G-men also have a QB who didn't JUST SUE HIS OWN TEAM
If you think Brees is just going to crawl in, you are insane. He made TEN Million last year. Dude has never had a big money contract, and this is most likely his LAST contract. Don't think Drew won't be more than willing to skip a week or two to get PAID. Esp when the Saints were so STUPID in the offseason, and lost the best G in the NFL.
Giants got any turmoil like that?
I understand the G-men lost people. I also recall them losing the gap-toothed sackmaster, the gunsmith and the guy the Ewing Theory should be named after.
And yet they keep trucking along, bad drafts(on the surface) aside.
You must have a LOT of faith in Romo and sure think Vick is going to last all year.

The deadline is July 16th.
Brees has no choice but to play for the Saints. He was franchised. He is 33 years old and he will play for New Orleans this upcoming season.
http://www.nola.com/saints/index.ssf/2012/06/brees_says_he_wont_sit_out_the.htm l
If anything, Brees will play and be motivated to play well so he can procure that long term contract.
"Don't think Drew won't be more than willing to skip a week or two to get PAID. Esp when the Saints were so STUPID in the offseason, and lost the best G in the NFL."
The Saints went out and signed a Pro Bowler in Ben Grubbs to replace Carl Nicks. Grubbs is a good replacement and he's more cap friendly than Nicks.
In 2008, the Giants won the Super Bowl and the following season they went 8-8, missing the playoffs.
I see the Giants having a bit of a letdown after losing some key free agents that were pretty key for the Giants winning.
Manningham caught 5 passes for 73 yards. They won't be able to replace him as easily as they think. Jacobs ran the ball 9 times for 37 yards and was the experienced banger they needed to soften up the defense.

Brees has no choice but to play for the Saints?
They going to put him in prison or something? Can they drag him out there in chains and force him to play?
Brees doesn't HAVE to do a dayum thing. He can pull a Jake Plummer or even a Carson Palmer
Drew made TEN last year- in the final year of a substandard contract where he WON A SUPER BOWL. And Boogie is lowballing him AGAIN?
Anyway.
Again. Look at the schedule.
Green Bay comes to the G-Men, as do the Saints.
They do go to SF, and then the Ravens, who you picked to be THIRD in the AFCN
The Saint go to Green Bay, Denver, cross country to Oakland , plus New York and host Philly and
They go TO Cowboys stadium, and as we all know- Romo will be closing in on 10K yards by then
Easier Sched, Solid STAFF happy QB.

receivers don't make Drew, Drew makes the receivers look good. they've got Nick Toon now and don't be surprised if Joseph Morgan gets a really long look to land on the roster.

NO is still in. Carolina is at least a year away still. Giants have to compete with an improved Eagles team and with a solid Cowboys team. It will make it tough. I personally would say it may be the lions who are going to miss out as the packers are solid as are the bears. its going to be tight im thinking.

all though I lost the TD last year I feel really vindicated in the fact that I picked the Lions to make the playoffs while all you so called know it all's called me crazy and Matt Stafford a china doll... yall dont know crap. And thank you for not having the Lions as the team that wont make it this year, shows that yall aint got no analyzing skills what so ever, just a bunch of band wagon jumpers guessing at trending teams instead of fully analyzing what is going on.

I feel like both will miss it but the Saints have a better chance at making it. Right now I see the division winners as the Packers, 49ers, Falcons, and Cowboys. The teams fighting for the wildcard spots will be the Bears, Lions, Saints, and Eagles.
On the other side I see the Bills, Steelers, Chargers, and Texans. The teams fighting will be the Ravens, Pats, Broncos, and Bengals.
