Even though Tim Tebow isnt the best Quarterback in the League he will start over Mark Sanchez sometime in the season. What the jets need is to win Football Games and that is what Tim Tebow does. The second Mark Sanchez numbers drop Rex Ryan has no problem pulling the trigger to get Tim Tebow in the game. Rex Ryan said it himself " this kid is a good player " and he went out and got him not just to be able to use him 5 plays in a game, hegot him to put pressure on Sanchez to be a better Quarterback and win football games. If Sanchez is not for Tebow will be there as his replacement.

I don't think so.

Tebow's big problem is he isn't a very good pocket passer- he has to get outside to effective. Problem there is the Jets O-line isn't really built to slide and protect.

So Tebow is best used for several plays a game, in short spurts.

Rex Ryan isn't stupid- unless Sanchize gets hurt, there is NO benifit in nailing his confidence or his playing time in a VERY important year, both contract and development style.

If the Jets jad made the playoffs last year, then Ryan might throw Tebow in there, but a 6-10 season might spell the end of his tenure as coach, and looking over his schedule, 10 wins to ensure a playoff spot aint exactly easy to find.

Sachez HAS to develop.
Ryan HAS to win.

If Tebow starts, that doesn't happen.

Sanchez starts
Tebow gets them 4 first downs a game
Ryan wins

Everyone is happy

Tebow wont start until atleast the 6th week
we all know he will but we dont know that he will continue to be the starter
Rex Ryan loves this guy he said it himself Thats why he went out and got him

He is gonna put pressure on Sanchez to be a better Quarterback and to win games and if he doesnt do that then He WILL have no problem Starting Tebow for a couple weeks
Neither Quarterbacks are considered good They are both outside the top 20. Sanchez is probably the better QB but Tim Tebow wins football games and thats what the Jets need to do. Thats what is gonna keep Rex Ryan as the New York Jets head coach

Sanchez will be the starter in the beginning of the year we all know that, but Tim Tebow will find a way to Take his place. We all know he can do it he did it in Denver, why not New York and do it to Mark Sanchez?

The Jets do not have the offensive line, the defense or the thin air the Broncos do.

Part of what made Tebow, Tebow isn't just the Defense- that stepped up, or the fact that Fox loves the dirty ground and pound- is the fact that he wore defenses down during the game.

Denver has always enjoyed a great homefeild, coupled with Tebow slamming into guys his size on the second level tends to hurt after a time.

Those advantages go away in New York. The defense isn't that physical, the air isn't as tight, and let's be honest- Tebow is going to win more games running 30 times than throwing. I'd love have Tebow as my QB if my team sucked, but only to build around him.

The jets are built for the Sanchize. Starting Tebow just isn't going to save anyones job

Tebow cant just be used that little, he is to good of a player.

He isnt gonna start the whole season, but when Sanchez starts to slip up the next week Tebow will start. Rex Ryan isnt afraid to do it.

Sanchez cant beat the Patriots but neither can Tebow, but Tebow can give them a better chance.

Mark Sanchez cant handle the rush of Vince Wilfork or Mario Williams coming at him, he will be eaten alive, he just cant take a hit. On the other hand Tebow can take a hit because we have seen it and he can turn a 5 yard loss to a 5 yard gain or more.

Tebow wins football games and thats what the Jets want and Sanchez wont give it to him.

What happens when its the 10-12th week and the Jets are behind 2 games and they need to win games? They wont keep Sanchez as starter, they will put Tebow in and say he is our best shot. He can do what Sanchez cant and that is Win!

Tebow can't be used a little?

Says who?

Tebow will be used anyway the Jets want him to do. Timmy is just going to be glad to play.

If the Jets are 2 games back, then they are still in the thick of the Wildcard. 2 games back of the Pats is nothing to hate on.

You seem to be under the impression that Sanchez can't beat the Pats.

How did Tebow do against the Pats? It seems to me that Tebow rolled up 23 points the first time (losing 41-23, then in the playoffs, the Mighty Tebow rolled up 10 points- getting BLOWN OUT 45-10, actually worse the second time out.

You do understand the Jets PASSING game was higher ranked than the rushing game.

The Jets need Tebow for 3rd and 1, not 1st and 10

"Ryan HAS to win.
If Tebow starts, that doesn't happen."

Funny, John Fox and Elway basically said the same thing when they kept insisting that Orton gave the Broncos the best chance to win last year. Of course, that argument became increasingly laughable as the Broncos stumbled to a 1-4 start under Orton, who ending up posting a 6-20 record in his final 26 games with Denver.

To paraphrase a rather famous quote:
"Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it."

Tebow has won wherever he's played and at every level. If Ryan really HAS to win this year, it would seem to be in Ryan's best interest to eventually start Tebow at qb during the upcoming season.

Definitely think Tebow starts at some point.Sanchez is below average and the Jets won't just let Tebow collect dust on the bench.<-----

Agree!!!

Tebow will obviously start. This TD topic is borderline absurd.

Voting right as he argued the tougher position.

Sanchez will either get hurt or throw a billion interceptions (or both) by Week 10. Enter Tebow.
