No specific order here

1. Juwan Howard (NBA) 39

2.Omar Vizquel (MLB) 44

3. Jamie Moyer (MLB) 49

4. Mark Brunell (NFL) 41

5. David Beckham (Soccer/MLS) 37

Terrell Owens

Jamie Moyer

Donovan McNabb

Mark Brunell

Juwan Howard

so our differences are omar and beckham

Lets see Omar Vizquel the man is a 11time Gold Glove winner, only 2 Infielders have more. 2841 hits played on some really good clubs during his career, has a ring... Just retire already and begin your countdown to the HOF, prolonging your career and putting up terrible numbers (.208 BA 2RBI 2012, 258hits over the past 5yrs) is only hurting your HOF chances

Beckham- The guy is a idol in Europe, one of the greatest of all time but has now become just awful to watch his team sucks, nobody cares about the galaxy except, the Gal. paid 251million (freakin AROD $) 4u you to boost the MLS in USA and sell tickets... Cali. residents are there dudes rockin Beckham jerseys out there? Give it up Beckham and be a celeb. with ur hot wife.

Mcnabb still has something left in the tank, he threw for over 1000 in 2011 even if he doesnt start anymore which I doubt he is a solid backup

Brunell less than 150PY in the last 3yrs combined , Brunell your a smart guy, go be a QB coach somewhere.

Moyer-8.18ers with the AAA Bjays its over bro.

Howard- you got ur ring, 3.3ppg avg. over the last 6yrs... where is your dignity? ur better than that move on

Yeah the changes I made were:

I dropped Omar Vizquel and added Terrell Owens

I dropped David Beckham and added Donovan McNabb

The reasons I don't think Omar Vizquel should retire are these; for one thing the guy is STILL one of the greatest defensive shortstops in MLB right now. His range might not be what it once was, but he is extremely sure-handed and won't make any mistakes that would hurt his team. He never did hit much, but his defensive prowess is enough to make him a valuable role player. He's a smart veteran; you won't catch him drawing pictures in the infield dirt like Starlin Castro or making 47 million errors a year like Yuniesky Betancourt. Vizquel is a great bench player/defensive sub, and his experience makes him a welcome lockerroom addition.

Reasons Beckham should not retire are these; he is by far the biggest name in MLS. Regardless of his actual ability at this point, his name alone is MLS' biggest draw. MLS has tried for years to broaden their brand and the only way that'll keep happening is by making sure guys like David Beckham continue to wear MLS jerseys. Plus he's still really good atset pieces.

McNabb and Owens next.

wow you did no research on your argument because you clearly have no idea what your talking about.

Omar is `still one of the best defensive SS in the MLB right now`... Do you even watch baseball? he has only played 5games not a typo 5games at the SS position this yr he isnt even listed on the mlb SS rankings list and Omar has always been a good hitter he is a singles machine. He didnt get over 2800 hits by accident. He is a good bench player but if he doesnt retire soon he is going to kill his HOF chances 5yrs ago his career BA was close to 300 now its .273 and falling why risk the HALL for being a utility IF for the Bjays

Beck is the 3rd best player on his scrub team. His team hasnt led the league in attendence since 08, his team doesnt even lead the league in jersey sales, nor is he the leagues top jersey seller he is more famous as a model than a player its time to call it quits

If any contender loses a qb for a few weeks or the season if Mcnabb isnt already signed he def. will be getting a starting job back.

TO also still has some game left over 900yrds in his last season. Like always some1 will take a chance on him.

you also didnt even argue your other picks

Not gonna waste time explaining why I picked some of the same guys as you. Since we have the same picks, there's obviously no need to talk about it.

Also I don't know what kind of baseball they play on whatever planet you're from, but here on Planet Earth everyone knows that Omar Vizquel has a job in MLB because he's a top notch fielder. His slash stats: .208/.260/.208, and you think he's in MLB because of his bat? LOL! Or, maybe it's the 11 GG's you mentioned earlier? Think it through, buddy.

Beckham isn't MLS' leading jersey salesman? So the **** what? How is that relevant?

Anyway, I picked Donovan McNabb because he's completely done. You obviously were impressed by his 1,026 passing yards last year, but again... on Planet Earth that's am extremely poor passing yardage total. McNabb hasn't had a passer rating of over 82 in three years, back when he was still an Eagle. Stick a fork in him.

Ditto for T.O. He gut cut by an Arena team, for ****'s sake. He isn't an NFL quality WR anymore. Remember his work out last year? No NFL teams showed up. There is ZERO interest in his "talents". Retiring would save him the embarassment of being passed over again.

I don't like how your criteria for people who should retire was based solely on age. What about performance or injury???? Like how obvious is it that 49 yr old Jamie Moyer should retire, that isn't earth shattering.

I know a former all star baseball player who is in his early 30's who has been injured a lot recently and looks about shot right now who should look at retiring......... lets see if Marlins fans picks up on him. Or how about a sure fire HOF defensemen who is up there in age (late 30's) but can't play anymore because of injuries..........

I gotta vote right for TO and McNasty bein' on the list...

Wanderlei Silva before he winds up being the Muhammad Ali of MMA when he gets old.

I think TO can still play in the NFL, he just cant be a locker room hazard.

My picks are not based on age alone its more about old players that had great careers but are now embarassing themselves by not letting go of the game

Roy Jones Jr. is still active???I used to pay for his fights way back when I was still in HS, back in the late 90's...

Yeah, pretty scary. He's getting his **** kicked now and inviting the dementia.
He was knocked out and convulsing on the canvas for about 3 minutes in one of his recent boughts.
